only showing up to spout off after crappy games that fit your narrative is pathetic. hands down.

Jrober38 was one of the worst on the old Bills message board and it’s not surprising that the clown is one of the worst here.

But saying you won’t be on after the Bills win and Allen looks good is extremely pathetic. Cowardly, in fact...

    Allen was horrible yesterday.

He missed three wide open deep balls to Brown, Foster and Knox in the 1st quarter that all should have gone for long scores. For all his arm strength, his deep ball is one of the worst I've ever seen in the NFL. They're never even close to finding their targets.

I was really hoping he turned a corner against the Cowboys, but yesterday was just awful.

The Pittsburgh game is huge. He needs to bounce back and put together a good game on the road against a quality opponent.

Look who decided to show up to the party. I figured you would be back after yesterday. You really dont have any dignity do you?

Allen's arm is just too strong. He is amazing on throws that call on a rope throws but is bad on anything that requires arc. When he only needs 50% of his arm strength to throw a 30 yard pass and he needs to control trajectory its difficult for him. He needs to work on it A LOT in the off season.

He needs to train himself to play the game at 50-70% arm strength all the time and only throw it hard when he has a straight line rope shot.

Totally agree. This is my thought as well. If you watch him try to throw with touch he’s only throwing half strength.

Sounded like another reactionary post to a loss to me, particularly given the timing. I see a lot of that BS here.

What constitutes the next level to you? Had we won today would that have been a next step?

Our offense not being a liability. That’s the next step. We don’t currently have game breaking receivers. We have some good complimentary pieces in Beasley and Brown, but we lack a game breaker.

I was at the stadium and nothing frustrated me more than that drop and the drop by Beasley. Those were Allen's 2 best throws of the day by my count and they were wasted. The Beasley one especially - Allen immediately rolled out of the pocket and pointed to Beasley basically telling him to run up field, then he throws a perfectly placed pass on the run 30 yards down field and Beasley alligator arms it. Now it's 4th down and we have to punt. So I come here after the game and people are saying Allen was the primary reason we lost? Not by my eyes he wasn't. Not his best game by any means but I see some of these "inaccurate" passes caught by other teams regularly. Even the arm punt to Foster, I've seen Willie Snead make that catch for Lamar Jackson a couple of times. Just feels like we are missing a certain caliber of receiver that all the top offenses have.

    Exactly!!!

I would draft 80% offense and half my Free agents offense. If McDermott doesn't figure it out soon that his offense is deficient,  than he's going to pay the price.

Yeah and that would be a shame. He needs to learn to value the offense like he does his defense.

Almost forgot the dime Allen threw to McKenzie in the corner of the endzone for what I believe would have been a 20 yard TD. McKenzie dropped it. Would have been a pretty tough catch but that's the point, we don't have anyone capable of making that play.

Great point. A talented WR makes that catch.

9-4. Playoff fate in our own hands. Outside chance of taking the division. And you're focused on the draft.

Was that your focus prior to kickoff today?

Does this mean that you've given up on the season?

Not at all. However, it’s clear as day what could help this team go to the next level and it’s never too early to start talking about it.

Good GM’s don’t box themselves into reaching based off a need at a position. Every successful GM will tell you this.

You realize that this is the best WR I’m recent memory, right?  There is a great chance WR will be BPA when our turn comes.

I’m going to get killed for this but they will draft BPA mixed with Need.

    WR

    DE

    CB

    OT

    OLB/Edge

Will all be in play for the first 3 rounds.
We will also have FA to help us see which way they will go early in the draft.

I can’t even fathom how pissed ill be if they draft defense in the first, but I can really see Beane getting someone like Yetur Gross-Matos if he’s there. Then we will select the best available WR at the end of round two. It’s a joke.

It would also be helpful if Allen can throw accurately downfield. If he can't , might not matter too much who our #1 WR is. There is a huge chunk of the defensive backfield that might not worry the defense too much. That's a problem.

I have more than enough confidence that Allen will straighten this issue out this off-season. Last off-season it was about the short to intermediate stuff and now it’s a strength.

It seems the Bills have not had a dominant TE in over 20 years. That should be an early round priority.

If a prospect falls to them.

This is a crappy TE crop coming out from what I understand.

Rather get a vet WR than someone in the draft unless they are an absolute blue chip like a AJ green/Megatron/Julio.

Bill Belisuckmydick cant even pluck and develop a good WR from the draft.

It’s smarter to get a vet.

This is sort of my point. We need a blue chip WR. Someone like Tee Higgins. I don’t want to wait till the second round to get leftovers. Get the guy you love and feel can help take this offense to the next level.

The value on WR is better in Rd 2. Now we will be drafting later in the first so maybe that’s the range where we might swing but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Beane go Edge Rd 1 and trade up Rd 2 and get his WR.  That’s just based off tendency and this regime loves Defense on cost controlled contracts

That’s exactly what I’m afraid of. Meanwhile, we get to choose from the second tier of WRs because all McD wants is elite defenders.

Highly doubt many teams worry about the Bills passing game too much when they know or #2 WR is McKenzie.  He should be the 34 or 5 who plays a few plays bringing in some special surprise type plays.

Exactly. And they are all small. Nobody to allow them to go up and win a 50/50 ball. If we had that guy, that would have come in handy at the end of today’s game.

  13. It’s so clear to me what we really need to take the next step...offensive weapons. I love John Brown, but he’s more of a WR2. Beasley is our slot guy, that can’t be argued. We need a tall WR that can go get it in the end zone at the end of games. IMO that’s what we need to target above all else this draft.

In addition, we could really use a RT. I think Ford will finally be moved inside next year, but we need a true RT. We could look at FA, or in the draft. Either way it’s a huge need.

We also need a second RB. Motor has been really good, but we need some reliability when he needs to catch his breath. I’m thinking maybe the fourth or fifth to find this guy.

I say all this to plead and beg Beane to upgrade the offense this off-season. Please resist the urge to draft defense in round one and get a real playmaker for this offense. It’s what we need to round out this offense and make us a more complete football team. I get the potential need for pass rusher, but we can’t use all our premium picks on defense each year and expect to keep up with opposing offenses.

  14. CeeDee will be gone. Long gone.

Higgins is exactly what we need. He’s been compared to AJ Green and he’s 6’4”. He’s the perfect compliment to Brown. He would gone Allen a true 50/50 guy. I just hope his stock doesn’t soar and he goes earlier than expected.

  15. My guys are Tee Higgins and Laviska Shenault. Think about this...Lamb and Jeudy will most likely be gone. Ruggs is basically John Brown in terms of what he can do on the field and his skill set.

Higgins is a big dude that has played on the biggest stages and produced. He’s a big possession receiver that runs good routes and is deceptively fast. We don’t currently have a guy like that. Put him opposite Brown with Cole in the slot and look out.

Shenault is very versatile, but still a go get it type of receiver. He’s very physical and that would also go great opposite Brown.

Well, he was an understudy for Hugh Jackson, so he’s got that going for him.

What really happens was that Myles Garrett tried to bash an opposing player in the head with a helmet.  Everything that happened prior to that is immaterial. Not hard for most people to understand.

Where did I say what he did was right? I didn’t. So stop assuming that.

The point is...if Rudolph didn’t react the way HE did, it would have never happened. Most people understand that. I guess you’re not one of them.
