Don't we play Tampa Bay in Buffalo next year?
Typical TBD Guy replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I was wondering why we're only 2-5 lifetime against the Bucs franchise. That helps explain it...a little... -
Seymour likely out this weekend
Typical TBD Guy replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. No it doesn't. -
Has Weei 850 AM in Boston has reported??
Typical TBD Guy replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK, I will tell you about the defense: #2 in NFL for total yards allowed per game #1 in NFL for yards allowed per play #4 (tie) in NFL for total 1st downs allowed per game #1 in NFL for total forced turnovers Now I will tell you about the offense: #25 in NFL for total yards gained per game #26 in NFL for yards gained per play #26 in NFL for total 1st downs gained per game #18 (tie) in NFL for total turnovers given up Looks like we should worry more about the O than the D, right? Granted, the D could improve in the areas of 3rd down % and 4th down %, but you have to take into account that we had a lot of injuries to the seconday. Plus, our O didn't help in getting our D off the field all too often. Now, about the O,....ah fugg it, MBD. I give up. You're right. Drew is awesome. It's the other 10 guys who are bringing him down. What QB could possibly succeed in the NFL without having 10 other Pro Bowlers on offense? -
"Working with what we've got" isn't likely to make Josh Reed, Ross Tucker, Mark Campbell, etc...Pro Bowlers. The elite AFC teams routinely bring in cheap vet FA's like STB51 suggested in his thread. These cheap vet FA's help get them over the hump. Furthermore, STB51 wasn't suggesting we bring in Brady and/or Manning and/or Culpepper. Try again.

Watch him go to NE and become a HOF'er! All of those NE WR's are widely considered by the league to be too small and too slow (except Bethel Johnson). Reed would fit in perfectly there...
-
Yes, that was supposed to be sarcasm. I'm still frustrated over his career. I had predicted that he'd break all of Andre Reed's receiving records when he got drafted... EDIT: As for your player suggestions, I wouldn't complain seeing Bradford come to Buffalo. Although, IMO, I'd prefer another speed WR like Joey Galloway to spread the field more and to provide insurance in case Evans goes down to injury. Without Evans, this offense is back to square one. Now Holcomb, yeah if Drew gets cut, why not?

OT - Billy Beane is the greatest GM in sports
Typical TBD Guy replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. The Yanks and Sox will always have asterisks next to their names in the record books. Enjoy your recent WS rings, Yanks fans and Sox fans, because nobody is impressed. Now as for the NE Patriots' 2 SB rings, as much as I hate them, THAT is impressive. -
Slot receiver? Who needs another slot receiver? We've got Josh Freaking Reed!

My Offseason Wish List
Typical TBD Guy replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with #2, but not with #1. Prioleau may be a decent special teamer, but definitely NOT good enough to justify his cap hit for 2005. -
That's freaking idiotic. Cut Henry for nothing? Why? He's still a GREAT backup RB who's under contract for 1 more year. I know you hate Henry so much, and God knows what he did to you personally, but please bring some common sense with you before posting.
-
If we can't get any better than a day 2 pick for Henry, then I'd much rather have him on the team for one more year. How would a day 2 pick help this team as much as a veteran, former Pro Bowl backup RB with a major chip on his shoulder?

ot - any one have a cat that chases --
Typical TBD Guy replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But if it's purely behavioral and not caused by any physical illnesses, then DC Tom could be wrong. Assuming mead can't pinpoint any obvious stressors for his cat, the cream/rubbing alcohol solution could be the best. Don't forget, you can't have a sit-down with your cat and talk out his/her problems. -
Lets hope Mularkey isnt gonna be a weak head coach
Typical TBD Guy replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see your point, but over the course of his rookie season, Mularkey has shown a willingness to learn from his mistakes and change when change is necessary. He's a creative guy not afraid to demote starters or cut a player to prove a point. In other words, it's still too early to say if MM is going to be a choker or not in this league. -
49ers will NOT interview Jerry Gray
Typical TBD Guy replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because I hate all white people. They are an inferior race and deserve to be systematically eliminated from the face of this earth...... You guys sometimes are so predictable with your tightwad replies. Now go watch an episode of Dave Chappelle and lighten up. -
That's what I've heard as well. It's going to be a 12 month wait minimum...

There should be creams and such that have foul tastes to cats. Put one of those creams on its tail and that might get your cat to stop. -
49ers will NOT interview Jerry Gray
Typical TBD Guy replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for us, but seriously, what is up with NFL teams not hiring minority coaches? I know I'm playing the race card here, but it's not like the 49ers are going to hire the next Lombardi; they'll probably sign the next dumb !@#$ retread cracker like Norv "Pizza Face" Turner or...Gregg Williams. -
Would Cowladies trade for Drew?
Typical TBD Guy replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, all the topics are about Drew sucking, Drew vs. JP, cutting Drew, Drew's salary cap hit, but I haven't seen any specifically about Drew's trade value. Way to live up to your member title, a$$-!@#$. -
Would Cowladies trade for Drew?
Typical TBD Guy replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
<crickets chirping> Ok, how about this one? Who here is satisfied with Trey Teague's play at C? And if not, what kind of free agent or drafted C's would you like to see replace him? Anybody? Bueller??? -
Sorry if this was discussed in another thread. I'm too lazy to do a search... 5th round pick? 4th? 3rd, even? I think TD should be willing to take anything to get Drew off our hands. Even a trade for a pack of Magic Johnson's used condoms would suffice.

So was Bledsoe REALLY the problem?
Typical TBD Guy replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only a very small minority of idiots here think that. As for the rest of us Drew Bashers, we acknowledge the fact that JP Losman could just as easily be a bust as he could be a star. Also, we understand that there are still other problems on the team that need to be addressed besides Drew (most notably K, LG, maybe C, third WR option, and TE). However, let's not kid ourselves. Drew was a BIG reason why our offense stunk. And you don't pay a QB with stats as bad as Drew (from November 2002-now) $6 million plus a year. For all that we ask of Drew in our run-first offense, he should be making $2 million a year tops. Luckily, according to ESPN today, TD understands this. Finally, I wish the Bledsoe Apologists will stop saying how you can't cut a QB that leads your team to 9-7. We had the #2 D (#1 in turnovers), #1 special teams, Willis McGahee for a RB, Moulds and Evans as receiving outlets, and yet we still couldn't beat 1 quality opponent outside the Jets home game (no, the Rams, Hawks, and Bengals are NOT quality). Some of the blame for that HAS to go to the QB position. Would JP do better? I'm not sure. But I'm willing to find out. Drew has been given plenty of chances to prove his worth, but his stats and overall play showed that he's not worth stevestojan anymore. And when a player underperforms for over a full season, regardless of the position he plays, you normally make a change. The QB position should be no exception. -
Anyone who doesn't want to draft Nugent
Typical TBD Guy replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's uncertainty in any draft pick for any position, kicker included. The fact that Nugent is widely regarded as one of the top kicking prospects in the past decade probably means that he'd be a pretty safe pick. And when you consider that a large majority of quality NFL kickers weren't even DRAFTED means that a guy predicted to be taken no later than round 3 is likely to be a serious gamer. -

Eary predictions for next year.
Typical TBD Guy replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll give these ridiculous early predictions a shot: Fins, home: W Fins, away: W Jets, home: W Jets, away: L Pats, home: L Pats, away: L Broncos, home: W Chiefs, home: W Falcons, home: L Panthers, home: W Texans, home: W Bucs, away: W Chargers, away: L Saints, away: W Raiders, away: W Bengals, away: W 11-5. Hmm, seems way too optimistic for me... -
Maybe so, but don't blame Mark Kelso for stinking up the joint; he tried his hardest out there. Blame management for not bringing in a more talented safety.
