you forgot - blue collar, lunch pail and probably a few other cliches.

No cliches, just stating the facts on what he brings.

Thanks for offering only snark instead of actual discourse.

How is gore an improvement over ivory?

Because he’s a players player. He’s a workout machine, he’s an ace in the room, and he leads by example.

Hes a process guy through and through.

  3. I feel like a full season in the new training facility is going to make a world of difference for A LOT of players, especially Murphy.

Liked what i saw from him last year. The whole line seemed to play faster and with intensity when he was on the field. Not sure how to quantify that with stats, but it was definitely something i saw consistently.

Explain to me how the Jets have had a great off season and the Bills has been “alright”?

Some people think that the 1 team race for Le’Veon Bell was the key to the off-season. People who pay atttention to headlines and not the details, will find this to be truth.

Cracks me up that GM's are whining to their media contacts about AB working their system and double dipping when teams are doing everything possible to spend the minimum amount of cap space.

Same type of thing is happening in MLB.

That's the nature of money.............as these league's have been making more and more the owners have gotten greedier.

In 2004 the Yankees had a higher payroll than now........and their revenue has tripled since then.

The system of front loading guarantees worked when everyone played close to the salary cap...............because almost nobody was in position to poach a player who was going to cost 11% of their salary cap.    It's a mess of the owners own doing.

The Yankees are a bad example in this particular instance. They want to pay their own players when it’s time. They’ll have $600 million between 2 players when Judge needs to be signed.

$1.1 Billion is a lot of money, but how much of that is going to actually be paid to the players? Far less than what will be paid to baseball players with fully guaranteed contracts.

Yes, we know the fact that there are fans that are angry, wtf is so hard to grasp about this.

Now 66 pages and counting of just meh, oh well, moving on... no, there are people who are upset/angry about the situation. Not just not getting the player, but also how this portrayed Buffalo and how Buffalo was ragged on.

I also sited there are other social media outlets other than just this site with plenty of angry/upset fans.

The only way to change the perception of the team is to win. That’s it. Green Bay is just as depressing and miserable of a place as Buffalo, but players will gladly go there because they (used) to win.

If we want respect for our team, they have to earn it on the field. No more blowouts to the Ravens, no more Peterman’s. No more middling between 7-9 wins a year. Make a statement and players will play here.

Who cares?? Honestly.... Do people want Josh to check-down more to make his accuracy % higher?? Do people want him to throw it to the RB at the line of scrimmage, or 2-3 yards beyond it just to get tackled right when the RB catches the ball? We've seen it too many times being a bills fan. Tyrod or whoever throws check-downs to the RB near the sideline, who are either behind/on/ or 1-2 yards beyond the line of scrimmage, just to get tackled for no gain or a loss on the play. I've seen Allen look to his check-down multiple times a game, but not throw to him even though he's wide open, then watch Allen throw the long ball, or run with it. I rather he take a chance throwing it down field or running than dumping it off to the running back for little gain.

You keep doing you, Mr. Josh " No Check-down" Allen

Personally, I’d like to see him develop the check down game more and extend drives that way. All he needs to do is rewatch this years Super Bowl to see the value in taking what the defense gives you.

I understand what you mean, but the problem with this is that it was a close game, as it's supposed to be when you have two of the top 4 teams playing. Every play matters. Every Snap matters. Every yard matters. That's the beauty of the NFL is that it is still an every given sunday sport because each and every factor matters. Both teams made mistakes, both teams did things right. It came down to one play where the Rams made the mistake of not covering the flat, and the Saints did the right thing of seeing it and exploiting it. It should have ended the game, but instead it didn't and it reset the clock on the every given play. After that, the Saints should have won in OT, but they never should have been in OT to begin with.

Precisely the reason you run the ball in the red zone and play the clock.

That non-call was egregious, but that’s not why they lost the game. There was zero reason to pass the ball even one time, let alone three.

It was so awfully obvious that a player could have told him or someone on the sideline yell at him. It cost them a trip to the Superbowl.

Cheatriots play well, awesome coaching TBH, but again a huge mistake by the opponents gift them a win. Crazy!

How many times has everyone said it; to beat the Patriots you have to play perfect football.

They dont make mistakes, and when they do, they overcome them.

He was the coach. It was on him to make sure the Defense was there. He wasn’t the OC. He was responsible for the entire team.

    Oh boy.

I wont disagree that he should’ve had more of role in preparing the defense, and that’s probably what led to his termination. But George Edwards and Dave Wanstedt were hires from outside of his comfort zone.

The “hybrid thang” was the most embarrassing defense i have ever seen from the Bills. Regardless of his responsibilities as a HC, the coordinator bares more of a responsibility when it comes to game planning, preparation, in game adjustments, and scheme.

If Gailey had any kind of defense, he would have been more successful here. If he had better players on either side of the ball, he would have been significantly more successful.

I was thinking the other day that I honestly feel like the hiring of Chan Gailey was the worst head coaching hire I can ever remember. He was absolutely terrible and I don’t know how anyone could feel differently. It was the closest I ever got to canceling my Sunday ticket. Nobody else would have ever considered hiring him for a HC. There was no reason for us to do it. We could have hired a real HC and probably got him to be an OC. He ran the same plays over and over regardless of situation. Every team in the league figured him out and after that 5-2 start, we never did anything again. The book was written and then end of that year and the following season was just a complete embarrassment. We forced the same stuff over and over again and Fitz actually proved to be a very productive QB after Chan. This is all not even considering there was no attempt to even pretend to play defense for 3 straight years. I think he was the single worst HC the Bills have had in the last 30 years and I don’t think it was close.

He never had a defense. He had a GM and FO that was atrocious at evaluating talent.

He was ahead of his time in terms of scheme and vision for the game. He had ZERO talent on his roster.

I loved Gailey. His “you dog one of us, you dog us all” comment was on point. I would have loved to see what he could have done with Manuel. If only they would have given him a chance.

So he thought OK, I've got this, then got torn up for 6 months and now he needs to change? And some of you still praise this guy? Because he admitted it?

He got complacent way too easily. Not a fan of his attitude. He'll never be great. I've defended him, but those quotes are bad.

Spot on take. Don’t admit that to the media. Take it up with your teammates or coaches, or family and friends. But the Buffalo News?? Bad look for Dawkins.

Would be THRILLED with this draft, but I have a feeling McBeane stays away from Oliver due to character concerns. If we sub out another D player, edge rusher or something in that spot that would be on par too. Harry in the second and anthony johnson? Yes please. Hopefully we bulk up the o-line during FA (expected) if that looks like our draft. Nice job.

Its hard to believe Harry will go in the second. That would be simply incredible, and i would fully support this draft

When considering and evaluating Jonah Williams don't fall into the combine mentality trap of excessively rating a player based on athletic talents. There is no  doubt that he isn't physically imposing or the most athletic lineman to be considered. But if one places the emphasis on position skill and technical skills such as footwork and positioning he should be rated very highly.

Just because Williams doesn't measure as well as some of the other player he is an excellent football player. Ask yourself how many freshman have started for Saban at his elite program and then started for four years? If he is taken at the nine spot by us I will be ecstatic.

Four year starters in the SEC come with a lot of wear and tear. I’m not opposed to it, i just wouldn’t want to take him at 9.

  14. Wow.

Hands down my favorite player of this generation, maybe all time. When you talk about role models, and leadership, Kyle Williams is an example for the best you can be.

I told my son, who is 5, that Kyle Williams was my hero. My wife was surprised and asked why. I told her the three helmets comment, and she was blown away. Loyalty is important to me, and though he may have been loyal to a fault, it paid off dividends for him in life, even if his bank account may have suffered.

Im sad to see him go. The Bills won’t be the same for awhile, and maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe his spirit and his legacy will transcend, and the process will really start to yield results.
