He would be stupid not to.  He will forever be at risk of head injury due to his history now, most of the time the cap thing won't really bother him as a QB, and they do help (a little) at energy reduction in a hit/collision.

At first it might a taboo thing around the league but you watch....in time tons of guys (the smart ones) will be wearing these things, unless they really bother the players when playing, which is something I know nothing about.

  2. I'm watching and reading a ton on this guy, and I love what I see.

He might be the gem of the entire draft for us.

I think he'll be loved in Buffalo sooner than later.

I was just going to share this post.  I love Griffin's expression.

Like the warpaint too.  Not too different from what Poyer did.

    Shows attitude and aggression.

Positive attitude, relentless will to improve, loves to block, can contribute on special teams, "best football is in front of him", can play in the Buffalo elements.

Pretty much a grab bag of tired McDermott/Beane cliches with this guy.

Nevermind speed, explosion, separation ability. Nope. He brings his lunch pail to work and he likes to block! Huzzah!

    *****.

This is the crap that will get McD fired at the end of this upcoming season....I hope.

Maybe Beane will go with him; this strikes me as a horrible draft so far.

  4. I'm unhappy with the hire, but Lindy can be serviceable for a couple of years.

There's no long game here and we will need to move on from him sooner than later; as long as we do that, I'm OK with it.

I knew they would do this when they retained some of the assistant coaches.

Adams claims he looked at "double digits" of candidates; I find that hard to believe.

This is who he wanted all along.

  5. Too many for me to list.

Near the top would be, as demonstrated daily at TSW, a complete inability for many to understand the differences between "THEIR", "THERE", and "THEY'RE".

It's really not that hard guys.

Another that is used so universally incorrectly now it might have gone from "wrong" to "correct":  "HONE" vs. "HOME".

"I am going to "hone" in on something."

Correct usage is "HOME" as in radar homing, as in a term developed in WWII with the advent of radar.

You look at a broad expanse of sky, sea, or space, and try to narrow down or, narrow in, or radar home-in on your target.

I.E., go from broad to narrow.  Go from vague to specific.

People say "HONE" as though they are somehow talking about a blacksmith sharpening something.  I don't get it.

Using "HONE" in this context makes no sense; you don't "hone in" on a blade.

Next time, use "HOME" and correct others who do this; you'll be 1 in 1,000.

  6. Who else is looking forward to Boston vs. TO later today?  Will be cheering hard for the Bruins.

    My prediction: Bruins in 6.

Probably the 1st round series I want to see the most.

Kansas City used to have an NHL team. The Kansas City Scouts are called the: New Jersey Devils now.

    😆🤣

Who the hell doesn't know about the KC Scouts?

Wonder if he remembers the Atlanta Flames or Colorado Rockies.

    Or California Golden Seals!

I have concerns on the defensive side of the ball.  Specifically, with replacing Poyer/Hyde. Replacing their production/leadership will not be easy. Need some leaders to step up on D.

As long as we have JA17, a Super Bowl should always be the goal.  There are alot of shoes to fill going into this season.  I do like that we aren’t really coming up in conversation for Super Bowl contenders.  I think we get a bit overlooked this year, which I think will be good for this team.

You have to define what "being in contention" means to you.  That is going to mean different things to different people.

Did you think, for example, that we were in contention to win the SB last year?  I did not.

"In contention" to me means one of a handful of teams being discussed to win a SB and expectations to do so, with some luck, being realistic.

We MIGHT be in contention next year; next year's team doesn't exist yet so it 's hard to comment on that.

I am predicting playoffs and an exit from them right around where we always do, and the post-season discussion being about "heat on McDermott" more than ever, if he isn't fired outright at season's end.

I would gladly trade me being totally wrong for a SB victory.

Interesting considering there were rumors about him trying to sell the Sabres yesterday

It's entirely possible he has rethought his position with owning the Bills and Sabres due to his wife's health.

I still think this is a weird move; wanting to transition to a different stage of life without the burden of these teams is one thing, but why sell 25% of it?  Is he hurting for cash and needs some liquidity?

    Why?

Correction - Everything but 75 percent of the Bills..

The funny thing is that for the last several years, their actions with regard to the Sabres could be viewed as preparatory steps to selling the franchise.  They had things stripped pretty clean at one point.

For as much as the players "loved" Donny the cleanout interviews have been pretty damning.  "Lack of accountability", "guys should have lost playing time", "lack of structure" is coming from everyone.  I wonder how much of it is directed at Skinner given two of his linemates are harping on this theme.

The players say they want accountability but we will see how much they like it.

This is GREAT that the players themselves are talking about this, and Adams himself mentioned it a lot in his PC.

It's a glaring problem with this team and it needs to get fixed.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Skinner as a buyout.  IF not now, soon.
