Luckily he won't be playing after week 4 when it traditionally all starts goign down hill quickly for him.

Dont you remember the early season games here he lit teams up? Opening day in KC where we put up 37 and crushed the Chiefs, the early game against the Raiders wher we won on the last second followed by the Patriot game, etc...

He is really good through week 4 before DCs figure him out... Rest of the year not so much.

To be completely fair though he has never lit it up like this before. Never ever. This is super saiyan Fitz right now.

It doesn't matter where he goes.  He starts out as a bum.  Becomes the backup.  And somehow the starter.

Then he explodes for big numbers and exciting play for a few games.

    Next comes the contract extension

    Then he sucks

    It's Fitzmagic

He's made like $55 million in his career so far I believe, and I bet he'll find a team that will pay him millions three years from now.  I heard he went to Harvard.

    I love Fitz.

Carr is the perfect example. Played behind a terrible oline his rookie year and it destroyed him. I just don't want to see Josh Allen suffer the same fate. God I wish we signed a good veteran quarterback rather than stick with Peterman or McCarron.

But on the other hand David Carr is also the best real chance that the Raiders have had since friggin' Gannon. 15 years!

Was Goff ruined getting sacked 4 times a day his rookie year And looking all around like trash?

or Wentz? What about Watson ruined because of the knee inj, or what about to good Carr?

No, no, no, and no. All good points.

If you have anybody talented that plays anywhere near a real #1 then you run them out. I was honestly surprised that Peterman even started week 1, but better somewhat late than never I guess.

Starting talented rookie QBs is more the norm right now than the whole sit, wait, and cultivate idea that seems to be so popular but yet has really only successfully happened like three times in NFL history. Constant fortune only shines upon Satan worshipping freaks like Robert Kraft. You rarely have a Tom Brady sitting in your stable who has learned for 2 or 3 years and is just ready to go, coach! You all remember Charlie Whitehurst? It felt like that guy was cultivated to be the next #1 QB for something like a decade and it never panned out. Waiting is not always the best idea.

Add Trubisky to that start immediately list, who actually looks to have taken a step forward this year.

  5. I think you can ruin a rookie QB, but I don't agree that playing a rookie QB early ruins them at all. Hell, start that rookie Day 1. Not everybody has a Favre/Rodgers situation. Making a rookie learn the job early, like any job really, is not a death sentence. The over-achievers will prosper.

What I do think ruins them is the indecisiveness and paranoia from coaching staffs/owners/whatever that causes rookie QBs to get pulled two games after you start them. Who then start them again two games later, and then rinse, repeat, etc. That seems more reserved for project QBs taken too early (EJ, Kizer), and it just does not seem to ever work out.

Allen is raw, but is not a project QB. He's an A+ ideal mold of a prototypical 2018 QB, so you just can't pull him after starting him in fears of ruining his mental. You need to just keep running him out there at this point. That shouldn't ruin him if he's a true #1, but the horrible injuries that he may sustain behind this line definitely could.

  6. This really is just an unnecessary amount of drama for a borderline bust from a small school. Who plays on one of the worst teams in the league, and who just had a complete and utter breakdown that would force most people into hiding out of sheer embarrassment.

I'm starting to think that Zay is a spoiled, coddled, bubble boy who either ultimately won't be able to deal with any adversity, or rather, may truly deal with real adversity for the first time in his damn life and will just like, develop a case of the yips as a result of it or something. Either way, not good. This kid is far from professional and seemingly ready for the NFL despite everything that I've heard.

Don't coddle your kids, helicopter parents. They ain't that special.

Your post sucks. Zay was absolutely awful last year. His drops, catch rate. He was horrible. I'll say they did him no favors this year, but the kid looks like a bum, he tried to jump out a !@#$ing skyscraper and now his dad is going at guys who criticize.

Cut him and get over it. He's bad, and he'll never be good with this lack of accountability. It's never been Zays fault and the Bills have played into that.

Much more succinct than I put it. "It's never been Zay's fault" is what I'm picking up from his parents, and what may end up being the fundamental issue here.

  8. I feel like this weirdness is ultimately just another strike against a player who's on the total bust fence as it is. Zay is obviously weirdly close with his family and the whole "my son can't do no wrong" entitled mentality is just not good for a kid who fizzled out in his rookie year and may have mental/emotional problems...

Hell, on the other hand, imagine if he actually becomes good and what contract negotiations will be like with this support circle?  Nonsense like this is just horribly unprofessional to the point of being toxic in my opinion.

Eventually the kool aid folks around here will catch on that the Benjamin signing was nothing particularly special.

    He's a mediocrity.

    Benjamin sucks.

So does Zay. What has he proven? Seeing his Mommy get involved with team issues when the kid just got naked and practically cut his foot off while attempting to jump to his death isn't a good look either...

I would be pissed at my mom if she did this.

    100% agree.

I didn't even really think twice about KB considering the source. Seeing his Mom continue to be a helicopter mother when Zay clearly has his own issues (all of which is probably connected) actually makes Zay look worse, imo. He's got plenty of his own stuff for him and his Mommy to worry about.

Never, he's trash on and off the field, this staff would never ever sign that guy.

"Trash", really? For protesting? I personally think "trash" should be reserved for somebody like Jameis Winston rather than a decent dude who never hit a woman, but I guess we have different standards.

Kaepernick is light years beyond Peterman, but would clearly be a terrible fit for this fanbase...

You people are the only ones race baiting.  You are seeing what you want to see.

Multiple people agree, but I guess we're all just dumb racists huh? Exactly why I didn't even want to bring it up, but I was being as objective as possible, and it doesn't seem to be a very crazy assumption. Where there's smoke there's fire. Hell, I don't even think he's trying to cover it up much at this point, "trolling" is a great way to put it.

It just funny that people get more fired up about a guy talking than what Gronk did. I swear more people wished injury on Ramsey because of his words than Joe Mixon or Greg Hardy.

i think Ramsey is over the top but why get so upset about it?  He is a really good player and if he doesn’t live up to the hype, he will get blasted.

I'm not personally that fired up about it and think that Jalen Ramsey is a top-2 cornerback in the league right now. He's amazing.

Doesn't mean that he may not be a callous POS .

He gave a ton of props to Brady, Rodgers, and Cousins.  I honestly think his opinion, which is over the top, is more true than people want to admit. Danny Amedola was made by Brady,. Josh Allen had a questionable college career to her drafted that high out of Wyoming.

Also, there are sports like golf and hockey that aren’t diverse and a big reason why is money and popularity.  Minorities don’t really play hockey or golf but the few that do have been really good: Tiger,  Subban, Ignila, etc,  I think he is just talking ? but it’s nit crazy to think of a guy good enough to make the nfl and be one of the best cbs could play in the nhl if he trained his whole life.  Jack Eichel looks like a nerd and he is one of the best hockey players on the planet.

I actually thought his props for Brady, Rodgers, and Cousins were somewhat restrained. Kind of like, "yeah of course he's good". The Gronk hate just didn't make sense. He's the greatest TE in history.

Just my take. I certainly don't want it to be true and won't argue that it is, there just seems to be a motive to his opinions.

  15. Man I really hesitate to even say this, but is anybody noticing a very clear and obvious trend with his opinions? It became to much to ignore when he said that Gronk of all people is overrated...

He seems to very much be choosing a "side" (that nobody in their right mind is asking him to) in all of this. He's further doing it here by essentially saying that the NHL is easy.

My Sundays in the fall used to be centered around the NFL. I'd wake up, watch the pregame show. Drive to the bar. Watch the Bills. Drive home. Watch whatever late afternoon game I could get on local TV, or RedZone. Watch the Sunday Night game. Then usually watch MNF.

Now, I'm just as passionate about The Bills as I've ever been. Go out to the bar, watch every game. New Year's Eve was probably the best day of my year last year. Pumped for this season. But I can count on one hand the number of non Bills games I watched last year. If anything, I'd rather watch a college game if I have no direct rooting interest.

I don't give a **** about the anthem protests. While I'm not the biggest fan of the new rule changes, it hasn't turned me off completely to the NFL. I just find myself less enthused to watch NFL football than I used to be. Even my fantasy players I usually just check the stats online. Anybody else feel this way?

Sort of. I could care less about the protests too, but I honestly think fantasy killed it for me. I'm more interested in stats for my DFS team then anything else really (outside of the Bills winning of course), so it's more like my interest mutated in probably a negative way.
