Nothing against Green but Hopkins is a much better WR IMO. If you have his stats with the QB's he's had with the amount of QB's he's had, that shows me he can succeed anywhere.

People always talk about AB, OBJ, Julio as the best, but Hopkins IMO is the 2nd best WR in the NFL behind AB. Would love to see the other WRs produce with the QB's Hopkins has had.

Man, AJ Green is so underrated year after year after year. He’s absolutely one of the best WRs in the NFL.

I don't see where he's been given "so many chances". He made the team as a rookie backup & when the starter was playing horribly, the coach tried him in an attempt to shake up the offense & he failed.  Then in the offseason they drafted the QB of the future and decided not to waste a fortune like Arizona did with Bradford and settled for McCarron. McCarron was bad in mini camps and preseason & they decided to cut bait.  They didn't feel Allen was ready after the Cincy preseason game so the last man standing was Peterman.  He started & lasted a little over a half.  Then they eventually sign Anderson & have the misfortune to lose Allen one week before Anderson is ready to play.  They have tried with McCarron & now Anderson to have an adequate 2nd stringer or placeholder starter to replace Peterman & got stuck with Peterman twice this season due to the 1st guy failing to be what they thought he was and the 2nd guy being a week away.  Hardly "so many chances" for Peterman.

When you completely muff three entire games, then that’s more than enough. His career should have been over before yesterday, but he played, and once again we saw what happened. He’s had more than enough chances in this league.

Does anybody really ever want to see him in a game again? Is there still some weird, give him another shot contingent on this board?

Dude...you're crazy....Look at Fitz last game as a Buccaneer.....Look what Fitz did, playing for the Jets against the Bills.....3 Ints, in a game he neesed to make yhe Playoffs...no way! If Josh Allen needs someone to talk to, comong off the field....let it be Anderson . We should've never rushed to give Fitz that contract back then.

Dude, you’re crazy. You’re trying to claim that Fitz and Peterman are the same. Fitz is also light years beyond the corpse of Derek Anderson.  Just stop.

Do you remember what he replicated against a decimated Bills team the last game of the season in 2015 in a do or die playoff situation? I like Fitz, just don't want him as a band aid or otherwise. I'm convinced he's a Jedi Knight. He convinces teams to give him big money contracts with his mind trick powers.

I’m only arguing that he’s better than Peterman, Derek Anderson, and the current Josh Allen. A poster in this thread acted like Fitz and Peterman are interchangeable - does any rational non-troll really believe that?

There is zero evidence to support the notion that playing a quarterback early ruins their development.  You let him struggle.  You let him play.  If he doesn't turn the corner at some point during the season, you draft another quarterback next year.  So many people want to make this more complicated than it needs to be.

I never said that playing a qb early destroys their development in general. Not at all, you’re putting words in my mouth. However if they’re completely lost, develop the yips, start taking awful hits, etc., then continuing to trot them out there could absolutely ruin their development now that you mention it. Killing the kid isn’t going to make him better...

If he's hurt, there's nothing to discuss.  A 35 year old Derek Anderson isn't going to play well.  Let him be what he was brought here to be as the mentor and veteran example for Allen.  Allen should learn by doing.

I don’t understand your answer, sorry. What do you mean there’s nothing to discuss if he gets hurt? Like we just forfeit the season or something? He is hurt, and I’m not at all comfortable with Derek Anderson and I guess Logan Thomas (?) behind him.

Continue to play Allen to allow him to gain valuable experience and grow through his issues. He needs as many snaps as possible.  Build a much better supporting cast in the offseason via the draft and UFA.  That's what they have to do.  Any suggestions of Fitz, Foles, or any other older backup QB make no sense given the investment made in Allen.

I don’t completely disagree, but what if he gets hurt? Completely unravels? Needs to take a seat for the sake of not completely ruining his development?

Peterman is no longer a real option so are we all really comfortable with Derek Anderson?  If the defense keeps playing like this we simply can’t accept 85 yards passing. Allen is the future (hopefully) but you can’t dismiss everybody else and their efforts if he continues to struggle like he is.

What???? Please cut the nonsense out.....Fitzpatrick throws the same amount of INT's as the Clown, backup we have here now.....We don't need Allen, A qb that's already finding it hard to read a Defense,  learning from a gunslinger with a weak arm.....NO...NO...NO

What? Fitz doesn’t have an interception rate anywhere near Peterman, and while he does throw interceptions, he also throws touchdowns, and multiple completions, many of which are like (gasp!) 20 or more yards downfield.

I can absolutely understand the eye rolling and apprehension, but if you don’t realize that Fitz is currently on a much higher tier than any of our current QBs, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Like the deep ball he threw to Benjamin that landed 4 yards out of bounds.

Allen has a QB Rating of 60, is practically dead last in every statistical category, we have the worst offense the NFL has seen in about 10 years and you're making excuses that the QB isn't the problem, and that he's properly executing the offense as it's called.

    Holy crap.

Dude you have been doing this since Losman. Over a decade of being an absolute pessimist about our QBs across multiple message boards.

If it’s trolling, it’s beyond pathetic and weird at this point. If it isn’t, then you sincerely may want to find a new team because you clearly have disliked this one for over ten friggin years now.

Hauschka was seriously one of the best pickups we could possibly have had. His release was as baffling as Dallas getting rid of Bailey, he had like one lousy game in Seattle and they axed him, one game and there were players that missed more kicks today than he did in that bad game. The kicking game is often under appreciated there is a reason these teams retain a good kicker when they get one. When you’ve got a player that’s almost automatic like Tucker, Vinatieri, Bryant, Bailey or any of those elite level kickers... it certainly feels good to not worry as much about those kicks doesn’t it?

Totally agree and want to add that Justin Tucker is the most under appreciated dude in the NFL. He's automatic. It's such a boost to have a weapon like that.

Enough with the politics crap...it has nothing to do with liberal or conservative and everything to do with money and the future of the NFL.

Thank you. Signed in just to say this but you beat me to it. Second time that moron has called out “liberalism” in an attempt to explain the rules. It’s not “liberals”, it’s Goodell (a known conservative for the matter, hey-yo). His dad was a famous Repub you dweeb.

    Really?

He is responsible for the pic that gave NE a SB. He’s not all that impressive these days. Kapernick had a good year, took the 49ers to a SB and lost, yet people aren’t falling over for him.

    Yes, really.

Russell Wilson won a Super Bowl, has been to 4 Pro Bowls, has statistically been a top QB for several seasons, and he could potentially start for another 6-8 years.

Kaepernick never did this, Tyrod Taylor never did this, Dak Prescott never did this, etc. Where are you people coming up with these lousy comparisons? Like him or not, and regardless of what he does this year, Russell Wilson is firmly in Tier 2 QB territory with the likes of Rivers, Cam, and Big Ben.

This is a good post.  It's one thing to lose, it's another thing to constantly get your ass handed to you.

I am really starting to wonder how much more I can take.  Between the game being worse than it ever was and the never ending sucktitude of the Bills, why do I even bother watching.

There is a different guy every week throwing 5 or 6 TD's.  Four guys are currently on pace to break Peyton Manning's passing record.  Refs are progressively having a larger impact on games.  The game is pure trash right now.  Goodell has let the actual game on the field go to ****.  I think I might be done with the whole thing soon.

I agree. I mean, we've got to watch this **** right? I'm pretty sure I'm not immortal so I'm curious just how long we're expected to put up with this slop. Trust the process for 27 more years apparently.

Isn’t Tyrod a two or three time Pro Bowler?  Super bowl wins are a team stat? Wilson isn’t doing so hot without an elite  defense or running game is he?

Dude, Russel Wlson is one of the best, most complete QBs in the league. He has a ring and pro bowls, and it's not all a fluke. Yes, his team currently sucks (and that blame is fully Pete Carroll's) which will happen over a decade long career, but please stop comparing him to Tyrod and Dak Prescott...

OMG - 4 games vs meh teams and people are ready to call him the GOAT.

Remember Dak? How’s he look now?

How about Russell Wilson? Not all that impressive these days is he?

Mahomes will fall once KC plays better teams. They benefit every year from a weak schedule and weak division, they get into the playoffs and continue to loose in the first round.

Probably should have stopped at Dak. Wilson is a horrible example. Yes, please give me a Super Bowl champion and a 4x Pro Bowler at QB..

I would hope the Zay Jones experiment is coming to a end the only time the guy catches anything or gets open is when the game is lost & the opponents D has all but loosened up .

The one catch he did make last week he bobbled & there wasn't even any one on him the dude ran past him & he let it hit him in the chest almost resulting in a drop i just don't think he's all that !!

Zay sucks. I hate to say that but it seriously seems like the kid has had the yips since week 1 of last year. How long of a leash does he have? This isn't some blue chip. I'm surprised people find his total lack of development at this point acceptable. He's barely visible out there.

  17. Just now, Real McCoy said:

Maybe throw him the F'ing ball and he will contribute like the last 3 passes.

This Zay **** by so called fans is weak.

Zay sucks, dude. I hope he balls out right now but I don't know how fans are still accepting his sub-mediocre BS. It's like some are willing to wait 4 years for an underdeveloped small school project WR4. He was an awful pick.
