I'm just not completely sold on him yet. I tend to agree with Skip Bayless about Allen and just haven't seen enough out of him to justify the hype.
Hope he proves me wrong.
What year is this, this reads like a post from two years ago. Dude, Skip Bayless? C'mon. If 45 TDs in the regular season and the Conference Finals isn't enough to inspire hope, then I really don't know what to say. If nothing else I'd consider listening to every other talking head that likes this deal rather than Skip Bayless, who's entire thing is to come up with awful, annoying, contrarian takes about every single subject...

Cool, even less money when they inevitably re-enter the QB market in a year or so.

Second gear, shifty, and can hit the HR!
Gabe a 4 with this WR crew, and that is a good thing.
Yeah I agree 4th right now, but strong candidate as future #2 after Sanders. Just curious if he's getting lost in the shuffle or still progressing.

McKenzie and Breida, assuming he's still San Francisco Breida, give us so much speed. Loving these reports, I hope we see a ton of them.
Any word on how Gabe Davis is doing? Obviously hoping he molds into our stud #2 for years but all of this other WR talk has got me wondering if he's the odd man that slips. It's way too early for that talk, I know.

Completely agree with the incremental opinion, but will add that my frustration just about peaked with pretty much everything concerning Peterman in 2018. I was definitely questioning McDermott, wondering if this was kicking off another decade of futility, etc.
Started to turn around once we started trusting Josh more and saw obvious improvement. The final Dolphins game his rookie season was a big turning point, that game was pure fun for the first time in a long time as a Bills fan. Settled into low level hope the following year which resulted in playoffs, and haven't looked back since. Completely unaffected by it now, this team will contend for years.

Diggs forever. He's 27 and put up 1500 yards last year. No question. He might still peak!

I've considered Cousins to be the lamest example of a starting QB for about 2 years now - the perfectly average dude that you sink money into that will never, ever get you a ring - but this is truly hilarious. Plexiglass, Kurt?! You dummy.

What that tells me is that Winston can diagnose a defense perfectly well and slice up a defense with the best of them. You don't throw 5100 yards and 33 TDs without being able to do that. The INTs tells me that he also trusted his arm far too much and took risks that he didn't need to. Hence, my thought that he needed a kick in the arse, to accept that he doesn't have to make a big play every time he drops back, and that check downs are fine.
Dude is talented. Absolutely no question there. It's always been about him having the discipline to not risks.
Sometimes that discipline can't be learned, though. You left out an incredibly important stat that dulls everything else - Winston: 30 INT (led the league!) / Allen: 10
I know you weren't necessarily comparing them, but I'm just adding that there are some very good reasons Famous Jameis is still a giant risk despite the gaudy numbers. Top of the list for me personally is the infamous "Eat a W" video where he drools all over his fingers, but his always very poor decision making is right up there as well. He's like rookie year Josh Allen, forever.

Best offseason news ever. Could you imagine if Baker somehow gets more? I'm surprised he's still even in the same conversation as Josh, but people feel this helps set the market for him

We can only hope that New England is in the early stages of putting a similar list together. I think it's possible.

Hard for ownership to have a worse month than the Pegulas without moving their teams.
Their PR department is woefully unprepared for the onslaught that's coming from the fans.
Yo Maddie Glibb's got this. Right? Right?! Who else is even in the building? Who is the Buffalo Bills PR department?

The Austin metro area has around 2.1 million people & was named the fastest growing metroplex in the US this year (plus it's only a little over an hour from San Antonio, another city that wanted a team before), so it was only a matter of time before they started campaigning for a franchise.
Who really knows the truth to these reports at this point, but the surge of Austin fans is going to be weird. They're going to be campaigning hard, I bet there's already fans organizing. On one hand it's like heck yeah you're a Bills fan, welcome, but on the other they're trying to infiltrate and steal everything you hold dear. Like a Black Mirror Bills season.
-
I get that it's all a negotiation but it's a dark cloud nonetheless. They way it's reported is kind of an all-business middle finger to the fanbase.
Might be wrong but it feels like they Pegulas have been dealing with a stream of bad press lately, and I think this was all clearly an ego project for them to some degree, so I also wonder now how they'll collectively take a growing wave of Buffalo fans, from both sports, dumping on them. I understand that's more emotional and makes zero business sense, but they're not wrong unfortunately that they could find interest elsewhere. I can envision a reality where they do pull up stakes, even though I don't really think they will. Annoying at absolute best, terrifying at worst.

Cole Beasley insurance. I like him too. They need to keep that weapons cupboard stocked in case anybody misses time so it makes sense to try to figure out how to keep him.

Absolutely. I think some may have thought you were exaggerating by the reactions but I even remember a Sports Illustrated article during his peak that argued that Moulds was right there with those exact two. It's not a crazy thought, it's been discussed before. He's like the Allen Robinson of his generation - nobody really talks about him but the players and hardcore fans know he's one of the most talented dudes at his position.

I'm not sure how to properly dodge these Covid landmines without sending things off the rails despite it still being the most important NFL story out there, so will try to keep it short and general: 1.) I thought Cole explained himself nicely. The young player thing was a solid piece of info, I don't doubt that at all. 2.) Considering how strict the NFL has been about protocol, I do agree that Josh not wearing a mask means exactly what others think it does. If he was in the same lane as Cole, he'd need to wear mask as well. Nobody's going to let enforcement slip right now just because it's Josh Allen. Everything but football aside, this is a very good thing.

I feel like I've been pretty good at dodging spin when it comes to most things in life lately but I seriously don't know what to believe anymore with this. I feel like we're all being taken. So I know the food thing was trolling but was it all actually trolling? Multiple talking sports heads have cut the food bit but are still reporting that he stormed off the field after about a 10 minute argument, and the footage seems legit and to correspond with that. But it's still just a blurry clip of him walking off the field, so who knows.
Even that nj.com link shared above seems fake. It's all about being overweight and "hoaxes" and basically just run of the mill Kelvin Benjamin jokes. Is there any serious report about this out there? If that NJ.com article is it I'll take it, but it looks some 22 year old Barstool bro spun it up on Wordpress in an hour.

Hamilton? Doubtful. It's at the extreme western end of Lake Ontario. What you might be seeing is Nanticoke, and what is known as U.S.Steel's Lake Erie Works. There used to be close by two prominent smoke stacks that were part of Ontario Hydro's coal burning electricity generating plant. They were demolished within the last few years.
Just west of Fonthill Ontario there is stretch of high ground that I believe is attributed to glaciers pushing up till during the last glacial advance. In the area of Confederation Secondary School and Peninsula Lakes Golf Course, you can see all the way south across Lake Erie to the high ground of southern New York and Pennsylvania, as well as north across Lake Ontario to Toronto.
Wow you might be right and you certainly sound like you know a heck of a lot more than drunk pre search engines ramblings from 35 years ago. I vaguely feel like I remember the smoke stacks so that might be it!
I haven't been in the area for 20 years, but for the two people that may be curious, I pulled up a map and was wrong when I said Route 20. It's actually Route 39, and I'm speaking specifically of the view across Lake Erie just as you come out of Forestville heading west, about a mile or so past "Sheridan HIll". It's pretty high up by Western NY standards and you can definitely see something.

Take out Devin's first 5 career games and his average is rather more pedestrian. Once teams got film on his dancing behind the line he has not really been that effective.
Fair enough, I appreciate the insight. I think you're right, although he did see some random decent ypc spikes last year and still finished with 4.4. I mean 4.4 ypc is Ezekiel Elliott for the past 3 years! Jokes aside, Singletary's kind of a weird back, going through his game log is kind of like 1 step forward, 1 or .75 steps back, repeatedly for 2 years now. It's enough to be skeptical, granted, but also enough to just throw him to the wolves in year 3 and see what happens, imo.

Gabriel's Gate.
Off the grid, but I had incredible wings at Whiskey Hill Saloon in Cassadaga, NY about a decade ago a couple of times. No idea if that's still the case, but they were good enough to remember.

I remember them having strangely good bar food but it was always made by a rotating random dude in nearly complete darkness which was a little sketch. Come to think of it 20 years later that may be one of the most consistently dark bars I've ever encountered.

Toronto no, but pretty sure you can see Hamilton from Route 20 in Chautauqua County, Sheridan/Silver Creek area. It has some elevation and you can see a ton of concentrated city-like lights across the lake.
Plus a drunk uncle told me that when I was like 9, so I've always believed it even if it's horribly incorrect, and now I'm passing that beer soaked 80's geography on to this thread.

A way better example would be Wyatt Teller who was a backup here and is now one of the highest rated guards in the NFL with the Browns.
He might be the best guard in the league, or at least it seems like he's currently respected as such. He's an animal and everybody in the league seems to know it. You've got to hope Baker continues to be inconsistent and weird because that team is beyond ready in the trenches.
-
I think you got to give Singletary the lion's share until he fails. The general sense seems to be that he's just not the guy, and that may be so, but he's averaged 4.8 ypc in his career, great pass blocking, is tough as nails, etc. It's very possible that he's pretty good but just hasn't had the chance to really put up gaudy stats consistently yet. He only saw 10-15 touches most games last year,
I love Moss's potential, but I think you need to squeeze Devin for all he's got this year. If he's mediocre this season then move on, maybe even pivot more to Moss a handful of games in.

Taron Johnson. Owner of the biggest defensive play of the year last year continues to blossom into a reliable menace on D.

How many people don't like Allen's new deal?

He put up a 5-1 TD/INT ratio and an 61% completion percentage, on his way to the Conference Finals.
I don't think you're trolling necessarily, I just think you're recycling contrarian talking points that were debunked a season ago.
Actually, maybe you are trolling considering you've moved the posts and are now arguing if he's even "legit". Alright I'm out.
