What I really didn't like was how the offense seemed to have to fight against the coaching decision not to try and score at the end of the first half.
-
They should be worried when they come to Buffalo I'd bet they're going to be facing a pretty fired up team after this one and is getting more in sync as they go.

I don't think they've been mathematically eliminated yet.

The coverage dicated that he keep moving. What are you disagreeing with?
That Allen saying it was his fault automatically means it is or was that not what you were implying when you posted that?

I don't really think what they said was the exact opposite. They were both being diplomatic and careful not to shove the other under the bus. They both implied that the pattern was designed to sit but Zay saw the wide open endzone and continued to the open space. Josh just said I should have known he was going to do that so it's my fault. Zay said I should have sat like the play was designed to and it would have been a good pass and TD. I think they both saw it the exact same way after the fact but were taking responsibility.
That's kind of how I saw it as opposite. Allen took the blame saying he should of read the field and knew he was going to keep going and Zay said the opposite that he shouldn't of assumed Allen would read it that way and should of stopped. It's pretty much the same as the last throw to Clay both are taking responsibility for it.

Bottom line. They weren't on the same page as I posted previously and it cost them 4 points.
Oh no I was just disagreeing with the first 3/4 of your post the last quarter I agree with.

Allen said in post game that Zay was right to keep running against cover 0 with it being his fault. Either way they weren't on the same page.
...and Zay said the exact opposite it's almost as if these teammates refuse to throw each other under the bus.

If you're going to use a pun at least spell it that way.

I dont agree with you about pulling Phillips. He messed up and has to chose team over self, but yanking him in front pf his previous team could of lost him. Handle this behind closed doors come Tuesday.
They tried that when he wouldn't calm down he got yanked to cool his head.

Wut? HE GOT LUCKY today. Surely you realize that the more often he runs, the probability of him getting hurt increases greatly? It will only be a matter of time before some linebacker, or even worse, some defensive lineman, coming up from behind, cleans his clock. Finally, obviously, there's NO WAY to guarantee that he won't get hammered/killed/injured.
He got lucky? Not really he either avoided players when he had space but when he was running out of room he'd either go out of bounds or slide.

You have to keep in mind the specific circumstances of that play. Josh was running for his life. When he made the throw he was off-balance. He had to get it off as fast as possible. He had no time to set his feet. Essentially, it got there. All Clay had to do was take a couple steps towards the pass and catch it. Josh made a great play in my opinion. Shame
I get that and you can factor that into Allen's performance but technically speaking the question is did Allen deliver a pass his TE should of caught, I think he did.

Bill who? I watch plenty of games and that wasn't the best throw with the game on the line and Allen knows it as anyone with eyes does to. Catchable sure as already stipulated.
Really he had no time in the pocket had to dodge the rush immediately and keep doing it to a ridiculous degree. Manages to heave the ball within range of a receiver well after the plays broken down for a first down maybe a TD and because it's not far enough to make the play super easy for the receiver it's his fault? How much effort is reasonable to expect from a receiver? And of course as a leader, teammate, and a rookie QB Allen is going to take and probably actually blame himself on that play for not lasering in so it actually got stuck in Clays helmet.

Allen was running for his life and throwing across the field , that was a great throw under the circumstances and hit Clay in the hands , it should have been caught.
Right running around avoiding the sack like that putting the ball in range that's a good throw. Clay needed to catch that sure the team needed a TD but they needed a first down more.

He slapped his foot, which was sticking up in front of him. Do you think he injured the guy?
It's the precedent you can't do that. It was stupid he could of stepped one foot back and done his celebration and nothing would of happened. It's just a stupid penalty to make.

Ha first time all year I put WGR on after the game. The very first thing I hear is Schopp and the Bulldog talking about how Allen's last throw needed to be better. That will teach me to tune in ever again.
If Allen only knew how to throw the ball so it would reach a receiver stop and hover in the air for two seconds.

My favorite non-flag was when Allen was RKOed. What was yours?
I liked how the refs pretended like they might do something on that then came back and were like "Oh no we were just talking about the game clock what did something happen to your QB?"

F-it. I generally agree. But this officiating was terrible. Numerous ticky tacky calls on the Bills, while your QB is getting hit in the head REPEATEDLY, and you miss PI on Zay Jones on the final drive. Hughes can say he was supporting player safety by being angry at the refs for not protecting Allen. Really, would have loved to see one of our weak OL do what Hughes did.
If they fine players for hits to the head, they need to fine the refs for missing them.
That's not for him to do though that's at best the coach/GM/Owner that has that responsibility. The refs have a lot of pull to think the NFL is going to side with a player doing this. I get it but I don't think it's smart.

I get the emotion after this one especially with how the refs were but you kind of have to sit on that. Don't let your emotions give them an opportunity to hurt you more.

In that Soul and Science pre draft video Allen threw the ball to a strange doppelganger(his brother who plays TE).
