  1. Some Bills touchdowns.
  2. NorCal not good writer. Me think NorCal bad writer.
  3. This game is PIVOTAL to the season. Were we all kidding ourselves (yes that includes you too Tom) or can we make something of this year? The fans but more importantly the players don't have a lot of faith left. If we get pushed down into the mud again it's going to be a really long year the rest of the way. If we win we all believe again, and it can be a springboard for better things to come this year. That said, I have to say Pats 20, Bills 17. I'm off of work on Monday & if they win I will get drunk. Come to think of it I may get drunk either way.
  4. I always thought it was "clinking, clanking collection of 'collisionous' junk" (as in a car wreck).
  5. I've been saying this for awhile now. Coy's a great guy & a fine young man but not a quality football player.
  6. Another tough 4th quarter loss, 20-17. Bills fans attack the Pats team bus as it leaves the tunnel, unaware that Brady has already left the stadium in a police cruiser under armed guard.
  7. Damn you fooled me with that dramatic thread title (again).
  8. I guess I have to think twice about the quality of the Bills team. Jags just keep winning and the Raiders easily handled the Bucs last night. Maybe by comparison we are just mediocre and not REALLY bad like I first thought.
  9. Frez, I am starting to agree with you. All I see from TD is an intense need to buck the traditional wisdom of the NFL, to prove he's smarter & more cutting edge than everyone else. We (& Ralph) are the ones paying the price for his "genius". I also did not like the McGahee pick. The Bills have played 18 games since that pick, and all we have to show for it is a handfull of carries for about 30 yards? That does not cut it in my book. I also do not project him to be ever back to his pre-injury form. That pick was simply playing Russian Roulette with the franchise.
  10. Oh, let me add one more thing in case it wasn't obvious, I hate our TE's and FB's. I cringe every time Campbell touches the ball, afraid he'll drop the pass or fumble. I think speed and hands win in the NFL.
  11. I know it might sound crazy, but do you guys think we need to spread out some defenses? I'm thinking Moulds, Reed, Evans and Shaw out wide with Henry or McGahee in the backfield. A VERY short passing game. Remember how we used to do that for Thurman and it opened things up a lot for him? Flame away. But if you do, give me some alternatives to what we have been doing.
  12. Watch Cablelady's legs, some football, and yard work.
  13. Graduated magna cum laude from Canisius College in 1990, majored in political science. Currently I manage 15 employees for the Federal Gov't in San Antonio. The best part of my experience in College was learning to write & problem solve.
  14. I'd rather watch the Bills lose 16 straight weeks.
  15. Please do not say that JP = Flutie. Don't you dare destroy my anticipation in waiting to see what JP can do. It's like being all excited to be with your new bride to be & then catching her picking her nose on your wedding night. A bit of a turn off.
  16. To understand Yankee fans' mentality it helps to have lived in NYC. Those people are actually certain that NYC is the greatest place in the world. I worked there for 6 years before requesting & getting a transfer (for less pay) back to Buffalo. The people I worked with thought I was off my nut for wanted to move upstate - "the great wasteland" as they saw it. NYC'ers are convinced that NYC is the center of the universe. NYC is the place to be, everything else comes in a distant 2nd. Yankee fans probably feel the same about their team. Sad and misguided (everyone else is laughing at them) but true.
  17. Thanks guys. It's good to be here.
  18. 1) We are 3 plays & some bad refs' calls from being 2-0 (in none of the 3 plays was DB a factor). Let's keep some perspective folks. 2) For all those posters trying to "out-hate Bledsoe" each other, quit trying to entertain the rest of us - you're failing miserably and only showing how simplistic your football analysis is. 3) The Pats game could prove to be Mularkey's biggest test of the year in terms of, can he get this team mentally, physically and strategically ready to play? 4) What the hell am I going to do Sunday? 5) Go Bills, I still love ya no matter what.
  19. Great thread, glad I read it. Hey, where's the vomiting smiley?
  20. IMO, pressing "record" on the VCR is not so difficult as to justify spending $700 on TiVo.
  21. So you're saying you wanted to keep GW?
  22. "I shall go down like a man." There is something oddly unsettling about that phrase.
  23. If Nate knocks the ball away in week one, and if Travis scores from the one yard line last week, & if the safety is called (all plays that DB had little or nothing to do with) we are 2-0. And on a high. Does DB REALLY look so bad then? Hmmmmm.... I'm not a Drew apologist, in fact I don't think he's playing well. But he's not the devil & he CERTAINLY is not the sole problem with this team! All I'm saying folks is let's maintain some perspective. Correct me if I'm wrong but Byron Leftwich & the Jags offense have worse stats - I wonder if Byron is taking the kind of sh-t DB is when he walks around town. GO BILLS - just win baby and all is forgiven.
  24. The only thing that makes the Bills interesting to me as a football team (right now) is that they are a symbol of Buffalo. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this particular team. If the Bills left Buffalo, I'd become a real casual football fan very quickly.
