Black Monday is coming (UPDATE: is here!).....
Bleedingreennc replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is, his draft picks are turning out to be decent and NFL caliber. -
It’s official. The New York Jets legendarily suck!

Look at those teams and tell me what their cap space is like. I dont want Cowher, but with the draft picks and cap space any coach would be able to form the team to their liking. I wouldnt leave his job for any coaching job, unless he still has the fire to coach. -

I like Lawrence, but he plays on a stacked team, how will he fair when put in a position that takes him out of his comfort zone. I do know that we have to hit on this draft and coaching hire. -

It doesnt look good at all for us. As far as a coach goes, i want a new up and coming person that has a different coaching style. No thank you, he hasnt been in the league in years and is old school. This would be a very Jetsy thing to do, hiring someone based on past coaching. For instance, look what happened when we got Bell, i knew he wasnt going to be the back he was with Pitt, we didnt have the o-line they had. -

I think what our coaching staff did to him cannot be fixed. I think he will flourish with another team that has a stable front office and coaching staff. I would say draft Trask and get a vet to be a bridge so that he can learn. I do not want to drop out of the top 10. We need to get another mauler for the o-line and set the line up for the next QB. That strategy worked well when we had Ferguson and Mangold. Quinnen Williams, Mims, Crowder, Becton and Hall are the pieces we need to build around. -

To be honest i might be in the minority of Jets fans. I would like to trade out of the top pick and gather some more picks. We have too many holes to fill and lack talent at many positions. -

Williams has done this before, many times. What i question is why was an undrafted rookie on Ruggs? -

Tua is not the second coming. The league has tape on him now and its going to bring the Dulphins fans back down to earth. -
Was Sam Darnold "Benched"

Very true. Douglas has shown he can hit on some picks, Mims, Becton, Mann. Fingers crossed! -

This is the remaining game that scares me the most, i think we could win it. As long as the Jags can beat either the Bears or Vikings i will take a win!! -

I dont, i know that with the amount of picks that we have we will be able to add some talent in the draft, give me a FA WR and we will turn it around. I hope so, we can add to the draft picks we already have, only time will tell. -

Honestly he would be a good fit in Pitt to back up Ben for the time being. Im thinking a 3rd would be the most we would get. -

Management has handled him horribly. He will be better off with another organization, this one cant get out of its own way. Its a 3 year cycle, rinse and repeat. Oh well! -
Brady has been able to adjust with McCaffrey going out and plays to his players strengths, unlike Gase. I do not want EB only due to the fact that he has the title, Reid calls the plays and is the OC. I think more outside the box thinking needs to go into the next coaching staff hiring and our owners need to stay out of this and let Douglas do his job. Unfortunately we will trade Darnold once we have the #1 pick locked up. The next coaching staff will have a lot of draft picks and a great cap situation going forward. Douglas saw this coming and handed out multiple 1 year deals which think were prove it deals. We signed Douglas to 6 years for a reason, this may be part of the process. I hope it shadows the process the Bills had.

Excellent question, and very happy to be back Hapless! My apologies for my past issues. I think Williams is gone as well. I think that the players are playing hard, but we do not have the talent to do what Williams wants done. We need to erase the chalkboard and start over. My first choice for HC would be Joe Brady, we have gone with retread coaches in the past and it hasnt worked. Let Brady be the OC as well. Maybe keep Williams, reload with our draft picks and cap space and see how that works. We have a lot of 1 year deals and most will be gone next season.

I want to keep Darnold and trade out for a haul if we get the 1st overall pick. Its a crime what has been done to him. Give him one more year and then move on if we have too. Bright?? Are we watching the same coach? He got his job because of Peyton. If he was bright he would be using his rookies, not Gore and Berrios. The guy has been figured out.

Have you seen Gase....its not even comparable.

I am so impressed with Allen, he came in raw and now he is lighting up the league. To be honest, im jealous.

To be fair, i think the Jets have broken Darnold, i hope not, but it has happened.

Come at me bro!
