Saints - “The bill comes due.”
78thealltimegreat replied to Punching Bag's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll believe it when I see it. Two years ago this was said about the Steelers and Eagles they are operating just fine. -
I brought up this stat before but it still is amazing how ridiculously good his qb is and how his vaunted defense has let them down time and again. The Bills were the only team as of Thanksgiving that did not have a wr drafted originally before the 4th round. If McDermott is saying “when” it means he’s hearing the pressure from the national media that at some point your QB can’t keep bailing out your defense and it’s time to look at exactly what you’re doing.

Intrigue Builds Over Eagles' 2023 Late Season Collapse
78thealltimegreat replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could also be that their QB was finally found out and is really just a one year wonder after all. As at this time last year the NFL players voted him the second best QB in football.- 24 replies

Breaking: Salary cap set at $255M
78thealltimegreat replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen’s restructure alone takes them to a point now where they can easily get under without having to make too many tough decisions. With a Dawkins and Milano restructure they can easily extend Douglas and Jones and add a free agent or two if they wanted without breaking the bank. Now next year when the cap hits to Diggs and Miller aren’t as severe they can be major free agent players again. So this is definitely a good day -
Are we looking at it all wrong, esp. With Josh Allen?
78thealltimegreat replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Winning a Super Bowl takes such incredible luck in addition to all the other things that happens. The Chiefs were healthy the Bills weren’t particularly in an area like LB and them having Travis Kelce was a nightmare scenario to begin with. As for Josh I think Jeremy White said it best watching him play QB at the level he does when he hangs it up I might just quit watching the NFL cause the dropoff between him and about 25 other guys is the size of the Grand Canyon. -
Matt Araiza signs with Chiefs
78thealltimegreat replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Matt was a once in 5 years kinda punter. The Bills made the best decision they could at the time. Obviously the kid was setup. The Bills just weren’t going to take the heat of keeping him around. In light of the Von Miller fiasco and how bad the bills special teams where the last year the Bills made very bad decision. The Chiefs are just trolling the Bills at this point since other then Josh going punch for punch with Patrick they pretty much own this franchise. Well played KC well played. -
PFFs grading system for Ed Oliver has always kinda confused me as the eye test says he’s been more dominant then their grades indicate….but seeing Josh at number 1 isn’t really a surprise except to the casual fan who just listens to talk show hosts and media personalities constantly badger the guy on his tendency to play hero ball. I will agree with what some others have said we are entering his year 28 season and this is a mark against the Bills brain trust who until recently decided maybe we should take care of the offense for a change and not let him be a one man gang.

Bills official offseason Cap moves thread.
78thealltimegreat replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Josh’s restructure clears down the overcap charges by something like 27 million. Extending Rasul Douglas also clear up a nice bit of cap Space too. So there’s two things I know will happen as Deon Dawkins is just about do for a restructure as well. The toughest move to me will be what the Bills do with Mitch Morse who has been Josh’s guy at center for 5 years. -
“Instead of playing with Tiger he should be out running the jugs machine for Diggs or holding practice kicks for Bass….about 20 people on this board” ….probably

Bills spent the second most in the nfl on defense
78thealltimegreat replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
You bring up an interesting topic PBF on Sirius a few months ago might have been moving the chains. They said the Bills are the only team in playoff contention at the time that didn’t have a WR on their active roster that was originally drafted before the 4th round cause Diggs was a trade and originally a 5th round pick. The front office definitely doesn’t value the position as much as some other teams do. -
Bills spent the second most in the nfl on defense

No just found the fact the 49ers and their high priced defense was even 25 million less then the bills. -
Trade Elam for Treylon Burks
78thealltimegreat replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not bad both would be kinda reclamation projects for their respective rosters. Titans really need secondary help and we have a code red level need to upgrade WR. So this would be an even swap although one thing about Elam if he truly was hurt most of the year he showed enough in the playoffs where he might be worth hanging onto -
What is your unpopular Bills opinion?
78thealltimegreat replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs isn’t a number 1 receiver anymore. Also it’s ok Josh to not be Mr Brightside all the time. I guess in his mind he’s already made it from no scholarship offers to being one of the faces of the league with an A list actress future wife. Dude get angry show more emotion tell your teammates hey make a damn play. It’s ok they make lots of money they can take it. -
Bass Makes $1 Million More per Year Than Butker
78thealltimegreat replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would think at a minimum the Bills would bring in competition for Bass. He just didn’t look right most of the year. -
And? He wasn’t taken till pick 10 meaning nine teams didn’t think enough of Patrick that someone wouldn’t trade up with them. Btw did you see who some of those teams before pick 10 had at Qb? You’re talking the Andy Daltons, Josh Mccowns, and Jimmy Garapolos of the world.
-
Mitch was 2017 and went number 2 overall Patrick went 10 glad I could help
-
But the Bears where and in the Allen draft 4 teams in the top 6 where looking for qb upgrades 5 in the top 10 since that’s where Rosen was selected
-
Why did he fall to 10? Mitch Trubisky went number 2 so 9 teams didn’t think Mahomes was worth their time. Just like 6 teams didn’t think Josh Allen was worth their time including 4 teams in the top 6 who needed qbs
-
Bills will get Monday Night Football again against the Fins or Pats. Jets has already been done. The annual Chiefs game will be around Thanksgiving. Bills/49ers will be Brady’s debut calling our games. I think the Bills will head to Seattle or Detroit for Sunday Night Football.
-
Like I said you are making mine how do you know Sean McDermott would have developed Mahomes? If you have this much of a problem with him take it up with Beane and Pegula
-
Chris has one of the easiest jobs in the league. He just asks Andy what players he wants for his system and then can concentrate on defense and he’s found some real gems I loved Karloftus at Purdue he fell cause he doesn’t have long arms.
-
Said it before and I’ll say it again. He’s the genius in school who struggles for whatever reason in one subject. Kinda like Einstein who was told by his English teacher he’d never amount to anything. His one subject is clock management.
-
What’s exactly is your point? That’s more a Sean McDermott front office issue and a coaching one cause if you think Mahomes would be anywhere near the player he is here in a defense first front office and coaching staff I don’t know what to tell you. Cause I sure as heck know the kinda player Allen would be under Andy Reid’s tutelage and that’s a fact.
