Fred sees spaces and attacks them better than Marshawn or CJ. Please start him and use the other two as a change up. Also at least three times Edwards had to redirect CJ to get him in position before the snap.

Here is a place to catch that games. I use to hand with a bunch of Bills fans there. Nice bar and cheap food! Now remember that game time is about 7am so get there around 6 when they open the doors

Anyone else think that he might be Buffalo's dirtiest player? It's like he is trying to make up for horrible play and being out of position by committing late hits and over aggressive head shots. He will cost Buffalo at least one game if he continues.
I was thinking that too..he takes these late chippy shots that are gonna get flagged. i assume he does so as he knows he's under pressure to do something

Sorry if this has been debated
As I watched the first week of preseason (including that shameful performance on Friday), I started to see why the Bills have had such a hard time to replace Jim K. After the Todd Collins experiment (who I would be happy with today), the organization made a commitment to having a mobile quaterback (not running) like Rob Johnson, Doug Flutie, J.P., Trent, etc. However, what they failed to realize is that you need a quaterback who is willing to step up in the pocket with the rush coming and deliver the ball. Granted our laundry list of QB's who have taken snaps have accumalated their fair share of sacks, but for the most part that is not because they are willing to be hit to make a play, but rather because they believe they can run to evade the sack or just cant read defenses. Even in tonights game, when you look at the QB play, passes were completed (better yet attempted) down field because these guys were willing to look down field and step up and make a throw.
Just my Opinion
When we were good, we had a good offensive line. We have ignored it or gotten some overpriced turkeys (Mike Williams, Dockery) for years. Ergo, we stink. Its the most important unit on the field, period. Hence Denver has a revolving door at running back for years and it doesn't matter.

cancer really sucks...no matter how good you seem to be doing, or how many times it goes into remission it always seems to come back and eventually get you...
RIP
Yeah. My wife passed away at age 37 this year from Breast Cancer. It sucks because used to refer her to Elizabeth Edwards and Mrs. Spielman as people that were beating it.

I don't know about this one...
Considering the Bills make every QB look like a pro-bowler, I hope they come up with some crazy game plan for Drew Brees.
Leftwich looked like a pro bowler?

It's weird being one of the only optimistic people in Buffalo right now, but I'm feeling good. Clearly we should have won that game, but to be honest, we didn't lose because of coaching for the first time in forever. Sure, you'll argue about the 8 second runoff before that last timeout, but let's be real... AVP coached his a$$ off, and we held Brady in check all day.
Basically, everyone is furious because we found a way to lose, but I'm thinking...if that was the best team in the league...and Fred Jackson is healthy, who is going to stop us this season? I'm ready for a week 15 rematch for the mother f*cking division, who's with me?
They did way better than we thought. If the bills were losing and came back to lose by one, everyoine would feel better about it.

Critical penalties in critical situations. When he wasn't getting called for illegal formations, he did a solid job of protecting, but how many stupid penalties can our offense overcome? Take away the penalties and this game could never have been in doubt in the last two minutes.
Is Runyon in Buffalo yet?

was worse than ours.
But the reasons are the same. Poor coaching.Horrendous clock management.
McKelvin probably has an IQ of 75. You try and coach that.

problem is that the Bills have to wait until after Monday night's game to sign him...other teams can sign him immediately after the game on Sunday.
The Bills CAN sign him now they would just need to guarantee his whole salary. That might be a nice thing to do to calm the fan base and show they are serious about not getting Trent killed. Of course that could risk Ralph's money...

who will now host "68 seconds with langston walker?"
-
I know I'm being very optimistic and AVP hasn't proven anything yet. Yes, I'm sure most of the veteran posters will think this is preposterous. But I just wanted to point out a few similarities here. Neither one had previous OC experience. Both AVP and Garrett were smart (not spectacular) backups to hall of fame qb's. I'm sure most of you already know Garrett played behind Aikman and is now the Cowbows OC. A big difference is that Garrett was hired as OC and had a lot more time to install his offense. AVP has a whopping whole week to tweek Turk's offense into something useful. Garrett had a good offense his first year. If given enough time then perhaps AVP can tweek and tweek some more each and every week and get our offense going. Oh screw this "perhaps" stuff, I'm starting to talk like DJ. Ok AVP better make this work
we better hope not since TO and he had a major beef (-=

Exactly. This move has to be a precursor to something...
Um anything said re why not just moving walker over to right tackle?
-
being on the team "these are not the cuts you are looking for". cutting stupar and cope not fair unless they both really sucked at special teams.
So Turk gets teh Turk for a lousy preseason and Stupar gets cut in favor of both Dereks because....he leads nfl in preseason? From ESPN
The Bills waived tight end Jonathan Stupar despite a great statistical preseason. He led the NFL with 19 receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown. The Bills opted to keep Derek Schouman and Derek Fine along with fourth-round draft pick Shawn Nelson.

I read about schonert and dick's disagreement (dick saying schonert's offense being too complicated and claiming that dick wanted a pop warner style simple offense). then i read the sports illustrated interview with peyton manning re how they have only a few plays but execute them well and adjust them at the line....hmmmmm
-
Very solid post!
word. also i would say last year about hmmm 85% of our runs were between the tackles?

id rather have him as a Bill than a Jet.
but could this franchise be able to deal with TO AND Marshall in the same locker room?!?!
if they started winning, yes
-
i know everyone wants to rant about the offense.. but the defense is just as bad.. the bills have an average defense at best.. except we cant get off the field on 3rd downs. they couldn't stop a 3rd and 10 for their life. they generate no pass rush what so ever.. this seems to be the same defense once again. small, fast and intelligent players... this combo dick uses does not work.. i suggest switching to a 3-4.
move kyle williams to DE along with schobel
leave stroud at nose tackle
OLBs are maybin and ellison(there should be a better alternative here but we did not upgrade)
ILBs are Poz and Mitchell
Ss are Scott and Whitner
CBs mcgee, mckelvin, corner
atleast we would add some size and have maybin on the field all the time. unless you want to pay $1 mill. or more for a sack this season.
maybe if we get a time machine and draft haloti nagata and have a different coach. in the meantime we we are a couple of weeks away from teh season with what we got.

I know few care in light of larger looming issue of our guards getting pankcaked and and Trent having the DTs, but
1. I think it would be really nice to see Denny and Klesay gone. I am also down on schobel but I know cutting him is not possible. All three of these guys do noting but I guess would be a "speed rush"but is usually a long loping circle. I used to count how many time schobel and kelsay would physically be off the screen doing the same lame big loop to the outside. Getting rid of keslay would be nice positive and negative reinforcement (we will cut you if you don't perform and those of you that are younger and performing will get your opportunity. It seems we keep guys aroudn that are in Jauron's own mold, try hard, work hard, egg-heady, nice.
2. Schouman and Fine also suck/ Down with all Dereks! I think one of them may be cut. Stupar deserves to start but of course won't and with our FO may not even make the team.

Everyone still happy we traded away our ProBowl LT so we could completely retool the O-line????
Still yes. If you think LT is the biggest problem we have on this team you are nuts.

Marshawn Lynch - RB Sep. 15 - 8:25 pm et
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Bills are telling teams Marshawn Lynch "is not available."
Because he's such a key part of Chan Gailey's weekly game plans. Lynch had three carries in Week 1, and the Bills ran the ball 14 times combined as a team. Buffalo is missing out on a golden opportunity to secure a mid-round pick in exchange for a bit player. The whole operation is mind-boggling.
