You guys are way too dramatic about this. Most likely this was a must for them to just survive the season cap wise.

Sportrac has them 300k over the cap. Official NFLPA source has them only 450k under the cap.

They just have a very tight cap situation. Every elevation for game day costs cap space. Every player signed instead of injured player costs caps space. So most likely they just needed to convert something just to be able to fit under cap this season.

Thank you - the voice of reason chimes in.  THANK you.

So the big bad Kansas City Chiefs beat a last place team by 1 point?

    VERY SCARY CHIEFS

Obviously a division rivalry game.....they ALWAYS be tough.  Personally I am happy the chefs won.  Less incentive for Sunday.  This game has all the makings of an awesome game.

    Go BILLS!

Only saw the replay on NFL+, but caught the broadcast team ripping on WNY weather quite a bit.  What the H?  Seemed like an OK weather day to me.

I've made this point in the past, anticipating that when the Bills got good, all announcers would have left it to trash WNY weather,  anything to be able to cut down the area.  What's next, Love Canal references?

I remember starting high school in the year that the team would go on to 2-14.  And I remember Kelly coming in (he didn't want to play here), a bumpy start, a coaching change (yet another one!), the strike season, the "miracle" 1988 season, the letdown 1989 season (my first year of college), and the horrible baggage of this franchise. 90-91 was a gift where 1989 was a huge disappointment.  Here's to hoping that this year it not another wide right; however, if this is 90-91 as our baseline, then I'll take it.

I had a work buddy who was nagging me to go to a game.  I lived in Rochester - as you stated they were 2-14 the year before and then in 85 the same....I went to the Chargers opener in 85.....bought single game tixs for the entire season - We could basically sit ANYWHERE.  Kelly signed and I sprung for season tixs......man what a helluva run I saw.  Those were great days.  These days?  Sadly I am in South Florida, an hour south of Tampa.  I HATE the Suxanears.

I am with you baseline 90-91?  I'd take it.  Right now only thing missing is a HOF RB and a few ALL PRO linemen.....gawd if JA17 had that!!!

Reality is, it’s all about the o line. I remember when an old beat up Darren McFadden rushed for 1,089 yards back in 2015. Its all about how you coach the Line and the schemes that the coaches design

My gawd I forgot about that!!!  Agree 110% it is the O line......

Even as a classic Edmunds detractor I don't necessarily agree. I think he'll go to another team and play very well. Hopefully he doesnt go to another decent AFC team. He will definitely be a point of conversation here for a long time into the future, and likely due to how well he does on his next team. But it's just a matter of $$$. We can't afford to pay him $18M-20M/year.

As an Edmunds supporter the last sentence rings 110% true, at least far more true than ability.  Simply put the Bills can not afford this salary with Davis and others coming up.  As much as I hate to see him go, I believe either Beane REALLY likes him to the detriment of the cap or he realizes like Poyer he just can't pay everyone.  The cap is the main decider for Edmunds.  Like just my opinion man.

I don't know how old you are, how much you saw of earlier Bills' squads (the 70s were brutal, as was a lot of the 80s), but this team is competitive, and I lived through their late 80s / total 90s performances.  This is not the 90-91 squad as of yet, but the last two weeks have been really good.

Clocking in at 59 spins around the sun and I had season tix from 1987 thru 2012, attended 2 super bowls, last 2, so yeah I know the 90-91 team very well.  As previously stated with that O-Line and Thurman.....OMFG Allen would be unstoppable.  Hope the Bills FO can get him a decent line and Cook or someone new develops into a monster RB.

I agree.  They should sit Davis against the Steelers.  See if he's ok for Chiefs.

Hindsight being a full on 20/20.  How did that work out for you?

Time and time again - I trust the Bills coaches and staff WAY more than a random TBD poster....

Gabe is one of my favorite players and I had high hopes for him this year, but he should sit this Steelers game. Teams will catch on if he's a decoy, he was hobbling on the ankle during the Miami game and it's clearly still bothering him. I'd rather him heal up more and possibly be ready for KC. Otherwise it's just going to linger all season.
