Even as a classic Edmunds detractor I don't necessarily agree. I think he'll go to another team and play very well. Hopefully he doesnt go to another decent AFC team. He will definitely be a point of conversation here for a long time into the future, and likely due to how well he does on his next team. But it's just a matter of $$$. We can't afford to pay him $18M-20M/year.
As an Edmunds supporter the last sentence rings 110% true, at least far more true than ability. Simply put the Bills can not afford this salary with Davis and others coming up. As much as I hate to see him go, I believe either Beane REALLY likes him to the detriment of the cap or he realizes like Poyer he just can't pay everyone. The cap is the main decider for Edmunds. Like just my opinion man.

I don't know how old you are, how much you saw of earlier Bills' squads (the 70s were brutal, as was a lot of the 80s), but this team is competitive, and I lived through their late 80s / total 90s performances. This is not the 90-91 squad as of yet, but the last two weeks have been really good.
Clocking in at 59 spins around the sun and I had season tix from 1987 thru 2012, attended 2 super bowls, last 2, so yeah I know the 90-91 team very well. As previously stated with that O-Line and Thurman.....OMFG Allen would be unstoppable. Hope the Bills FO can get him a decent line and Cook or someone new develops into a monster RB.

I would love to see Josh behind an offensive line like Jim had. Much less with a running back like Thurman.
Would that NOT be the balls????

I agree. They should sit Davis against the Steelers. See if he's ok for Chiefs.
Hindsight being a full on 20/20. How did that work out for you?
Time and time again - I trust the Bills coaches and staff WAY more than a random TBD poster....

Teams will catch on if he's a decoy, he was hobbling on the ankle during the Miami game and it's clearly still bothering him. I'd rather him heal up more and possibly be ready for KC. Otherwise it's just going to linger all season.

You are right about one thing in this post. The offense would not go through Barkley. However…don’t think for one second that the threat of Barkley wouldn’t open up much more with the offense.
If they had Allen as the QB I would agree....

Possibly. Looked to me that AJ was moving Shaq out of the way, when Hussey pushed him, AJ had his back to Hussey, and stuck his elbow back and caught Hussey, who then lost the plot.
No doubt the NFL will side with the zebra, but imho, common sense should prevail, and Epenesa shouldn't be unduly punished, especially as he was trying to keep Shaq away from getting into it.
Imho, Hussey was a complete idiot in his actions. You don't go shoving NFL players around who can't see you, and expect no reaction.
Good referees don't get involved in that way in the first place, especially when the guy you are shoving, is trying to defuse the situation.
So I totally agree w this but will the Zebras? Me thinks no....sadly

I loved Kelly. But Kelly was never considered the best qb in the NFL even in his day. It was always Marino and Montana. Josh is something I've never seen before he wows me a couple times every game. The one thing I think they both have in common though is the ability to throw picks and come back like it never happened. They both have that refuse to lose attitude and never think they are out of it
Yeah agree w you on Kelly. He was and still is one tough SOB. Allen just freaks me with some of his playmaking ability. That one scramble where the LB was zeroing in on him and whoosh....there goes Josh for a 1st down and more!
GREAT days to be a Bills fan and after the 2000's and 2010's we deserve it!!!!

Agree......Allen is head and shoulders above Kelly. Those of you who don't see that don't want to see it. Even Kelly said he will break all my records. Diggs is crazy good as is Davis. This team is very special 5 weeks in. Stay healthy and they could be Champs.

Jim Kelly in Richmond, VA in 1991. Let's just say he wasn't very nice and I'll leave it that.
Thats a bummer......I was actually fortunate enough to be invited to Jim's house after one of the games while Bruce, Thurman, Biscuit, Tally, Kent, Andre, and I think Tasker was there too along with some others. Brains a little fuzzy as it was many moons and many brain cells ago. Actually ran into Andre and Tally a few weeks later at Bathtub Bill's Bar in Rochester and they remembered me! I was shocked.
Was surprised to see then all busting balls when Burman did the Bills recap. It was hilarious. Jim was very gracious, Bruce was nice, Thurman a wee bit standoffish but hey he didn't know me.
Many years later I ran into Tasker while I was a Marshall at the LPGA and he was golfing with Jim Boeheim and I forgot who the pro was. UBER SUPER competitive dude. UBER!!! THAT was funny as all get out.
Used to go to a weekly taping that Robb Riddick used to do in Rochester, On Lexington and Mt Read, place is long gone but met a chatted with many players and team personnel. I always wanted to meet Marv. That woulda been a hoot.

The comment is about the general situation, not just today in Miami.
Well the general state of things was he was needed to block in the previous 2 games also......just saying. The Bills have played some serious freaking talent the last 3 games and will do so for the next 3 games!!!
15 minutes ago, Chicagobills said:Agree priority is to protect Josh but there are plenty of opportunities to try and get Knox more involved especially in the red zone.
Apparently our OC coordinator feels differently....Ima gonna go with his take rather than a fan take......seems to be working. if a few miscues were cleaned up today with a TON of players out today......well this wouldn't even be a topic. Would it?

Who starts these topics? Some one looking to aggravate after a tough loss. The Bills running game (Without Allen's numbers) is next to last in the NFL. Look at NFL Savant stats. It couldn't be worse. And it's killing the Bills. It's nice that Singletary catches some passes, but that does nothing to help the Bills when they need to give the O-Line a break once and a while (Like today). Or use the clock, or keep opposing D-Lines from just teeing off on Josh. Bills don't get a running game soon, they are in trouble. Jut listen to McDermott after today's game. I'll believe the coach over posters. Motor's back to where he was this time last year running the ball.. Only he's worse.
Ummmm....lets look at time of possession please...agree it wasn't due to the running game but the possession time was strongly in the Bills favor.
Spotlight on Roger Saffold---WTF is he doing on the 98 yard TD pass?
