Shades of TJ Graham?
Graham was an over drafted tiny receiver who ran a 4.41.
Perriman is a physical specimen who runs a 4.24. He has been inconsistent and dealt with injuries.
Im taking a chance on a guy like Perriman.

Didn't they say that about Corey Coleman? ?
Yep definitely. I have no problem with the thought process of giving these guys a shot.
The one big difference is that Perriman is huge and faster than Coleman. But they have similar issues. Now that Perriman has cleared waivers, he shouldn't be expensive. The issue with Coleman is that we took on his contract to see if we can make something of him. Perriman is the better and cheaper bet imo.

That 4.24 forty is going to get him a second chance. He could still become Josh Gordon without all the weed. A bust yes, but definitely worth a look and maybe a change of scenery will do him good.

Robert Thomas is a big 1 technique type. 6-1, 330. It does make sense to have a guy like this as a fall back in case Star gets hurt and especially if they are going to use Phillips as more of a 3 tech.
Also former Panther. Should have seen it coming.

I liked what I saw from Keith Ford. I think he has a chance to develop. DeBeer is obviously interesting as well.

Zay Jones is the key here. If he's is healthy and fulfills his potential then the receiving corps should be very good. If he still sucks and we have Andre Holmes as our #2, then it is very bad.
Its all about Zay in my opinion.

Maybe that Alex McGough guy they were interested in pre-draft.

5-11. I think this is more the tank year. I also hope that I am wrong. I do think that 0-8 is a very real possibility and then they make the switch to Allen.

I have no issue with cutting/changing/trading/drafting punters and kickers. It's just going in to start a season and 7 days before the kick off of the opening game we totally dump what we have and bring in some rookie who hasn't even played in a pre-season game? Just seems mind boggling to me that type of, lets call it "Situation" would even be possible to happen at the NFL level -- you would just think they would have had a bit more planning and forsight then to be scrambling to grab an unknown rookie 7 days before kick off.
I think it's a very fair point. If they really disliked Schmidt they could have drafted Dickson or Scott or Townsend...maybe signed Marquette King when he was cut.
That said I am ok with it. My guess is they had some agreement with this new punter, so they went ahead and drafted Austin Proehl...NE came calling and the punter screwed them and signed with NE instead. I think it happens a lot with UDFA. Bills were patient and got their guy. They must really like this guy, otherwise the move is questionable.

Teams do this all of the time. They cut and bring in new kickers all of the the time. The Adam Vinatieries and Shane Lechlers of the world are outliers. As Bills fans we have not had a lot of turnover in the kicking game for awhile because we had Moorman and Lindell all that time. It's standard operating procedure in the NFL.
Remember before Lindell there was guys like Mike Hollis, Jake Arians etc etc. it happens.

This is clearly a situation where they really like this guy and his upside and they must know that either someone will claim or that they won't be able to get him on the practice squad. Keeping him on the roster must have been their only avenue to keep him. He was a very high priority UDFA.

I know Matt Boesen is undersized but I was more impressed with him than Love.

Nassib makes sense on a few levels. He's a Penn State guy, high motor, former walk on. He's also a bigger defensive end that fits the McDermott mold.

Belichik has a fetish for left footed punters. The ball spins the opposite way and can mess with returners. I wonder if this guy is a lefty.
He is indeed

Lewis is more interesting than Pitts.

This is Tank Carder all over again! Damn you Browns! ?

I have no problem with this guy making the team. The guy has potential. This is the type of guy you try to hold on to and develop imo.

Not really seeing anyone after cuts that jumps off the page as "we have to have this guy"
I just have this feeling that OL play is so bad in the league right now we are going to see SEVERAL draft picks go on offensive linemen next year and use our huge cap space for playmakers on the O and D side of the ball
and frankly....I think Teller has outplayed both of our OG's
Agreed. I really don't understand the harm in playing Teller over those other guys. I mean there will be growing pains, but Ducasse sucks. So he will make the same mistakes and worse, but it's okay because he is a "vet."
The only thing I hesitate with in regard to this regime is their undying devotion to crappy veterans like Vlad and Tolbert.

Spencer Drango of the Browns is an interesting name. Former 5th round pick out of Baylor who can play tackle or guard. I liked him during draft time.

Austin Howard
there are more let me look at the lists so far.
Austin Howard is a tried and true Juan Castillo guy.

John Simon cut from the Colts. Undersized defensive end (who is bigger than Hughes). He's one of those non stop motor guys I always really liked. He seemed like a bad 4-3 fit and then had a really good preseason. He's a surprise cut I'd love to have on our team.
-
Spencer Pulley is a center cut from the Chargers. Started a bunch of games last year.
Nico Siragusa G was a 4th round pick in 2017 coming off a knee injury.
Matt Tobin T cut from the Pats.

A few decent WRs out there. Wright, Thompson and Kamar Aiken. Nothing special but compared to what we have, not terrible.
Yeah WR and DB seem like two places that might change. I think signing Gentry is a no brainer. Should be an interesting waivers period.

Oh well. I liked O'Leary. I still don't like the way Croom and Thomas block, but I can't deny Croom's potential as a receiver. I still think Thomas can be good eventually. I think I would have kept OLeary over Lee, but it's all good.

Orchard could be interesting as a guy who can maybe play some SAM backer too.
I still would rather Bring in Nassib.
