  1. This I like. Allen was a really highly recruited player with a ton of talent. He had t deal with some really crazy circumstances in college. Deals with drama at A&M, transfers to Houston to get a chance to throw the ball, sits out a year and coach leaves, so he gets stuck ina a quarterback as a runner offense.

Anyway, cut Peterman and stick this guy on the practice squad. As an added bonus he is close with Josh Allen as they lived and trained together for the lead up to the draft under Jordan Palmer's tutelage. This is exactly the kind of guy you bring in to develop.

  2. I'm not sure Thomas is a move that makes sense at the moment. He's owed a significant amount of money and is a bit on the older side. That said, he is leaps and bounds better than anyone we have. If you can get him cheap, then I am all for it. Denver should sell low so they can get out of the contract.

  3. I actually think there is a chance they re-assign Culley next year and hire Rob Chudzinski to work directly with Josh Allen. Maybe as an assistant head coach who just works with Josh. We never heard anything about Chudzinski being fired in Indy but he obviously doesn't work there anymore. I'm guessing he was asked to sit out a year and collect his paycheck.

  4. I know we feel good about the cap space next year, but I for one am not excited about what's available. Unless you can somehow get LeVeon Bell or JaDaveon Clooney or DeMarcus Lawrence...all of who, probably get the franchise tag...I think it's just plugging holes.

That said if I'm plugging holes my wish list might look something like this:

WR Chris Conley - big upside in my opinion

RT Daryl Williams - Panther who plays tackle

    C Mitch Morse - a center

TE Maxx Williams - big young interesting guy

CB Eric Rowe - zone corner who can do a lot of things

CB Jason Verett - buy low on a guy coming off injury

I also think you take a shot on a receiver like Josh Gordon or Martavis Bryant. You badly need talent there and the free agent class isn't very interesting. Donte Moncrief makes sense as well, but I'd want a guy with number 1 upside.

  5. Teller likely needs work in pass protection at this point. But I like his potential and I still think they should give him a chance to play. Guys like Groy, Ducasse and Miller I think have a good chance of not being on this team next year. Go ahead and give Teller a chance to play.

On another note, go trade for Forrest Lamp. He is healthy and ready to go and the Chargers just won't play him. Not sure why they are keeping him on the bench, but I do think there is a possibility of trade there.

WR DeFilippo... tough call... He didnt look so hot as OC in Cleveland, got some glory back after being QB Coach in Philly, and now not so hot again as OC in Minn.

I think being hidden behind Pederson and Reich helped his brand in Philly.

And for LaFleur, interesting he took a lateral move from LA to Tenn. Maybe he wanted to own the Offense and that couldnt be done under McVay?

Most likely LaFleur wanted to call plays. McVay is the play caller there. LA didn't have to let him go, technically, but they did. I think he is the next young offensive mind hire, even though Tennessee has not been impressive.

  7. The Rams were pretty openly mocked for hiring a guy as young as McVay. I don't think the Bills were ever in in him. Vance Joseph, Anthony Lynn, Harold Goodwin I remember being the rumors.

Anyway, the Rams clearly made a great choice, but I am not sure he would have had the same amount of success here.

Im not ready to call McDermott a failure, but he isn't getting results. Let's see how the team responds next week.

  8. Stanford is a ridiculous athlete who excels on special teams. He was apparently outplaying Darron Lee in NY but never got a real shot because Lee was the first round pick. As folz said up top, he's been injured and out of the lineup and that has likely hurt the special teams units. I think that is a lot of money for a guy with that role, but I guess I will have to wait to see his impact.

Dimarco was basically the best fullback in the league for 4-5 years in Atlanta and simply hasn't been used very much here. I do think they really came close to signing Kyle Juszczyk a couple of years ago and when they lost him may have panicked and pivoted to Dimarco.

As I read this I was wondering if quarterback play has anything to do with it? Rodgers is a great quarterback who knows how to give his wideout’s a chance to catch most passes.

If Daboll sticks around maybe he will help the staff get better at evaluating talent for offense.

I meant more along the lines of pro personnel decisions. I feel like we continue to pass on guys like this who jump right onto the depth chart in a place ike Green Bay and contribute....but we continue to pass on them in the draft.  You are 100% correct that their effectiveness has to be due to quarterback play.

Listen pal. I ain’t the super across da way.

(let’s see if anyone gets the reference)

    U looking for Brett Weir?

  10. Sorry for this rant, but the thing that bothers me, and this is 20/20 hindsight but watching Valdez-Scantling and Eq St. Brown doing things in Gren Bay frustrates me. These are guys we passed on in the draft round after round. They weren't good enough for us, but they were good enough to crack the depth chart in Green Bay?

It it just annoys me. I mean I like the upside of Siran Neal, but I'd rather have Valdez-Scantling who we had in for a visit and we passed on St. Brown for Ray Ray. It just feels off. Why can't we ever have long, high upside recievers around? Good enough for all the good teams, but not good enough for us? No we get all of the slow tiny ones.

you are aware of the injury that likely affected his combine time for speed. had he played Teams in College ?
I am surprised at you at just quoting stats here. Take a deeper look if you have time. BTW a half shot of kool aid always helps me
Think he might work himself into the roster.

When i pour half shots of koolaid ? i pour them , half full.

I could definitely use a shot or two. But yeah I got u. I think he was coming off a hernia or something, but the scouting people thought he was slow before that time at his pro day. I am a bit of a numbers guy myself, but one must admit, hurt or not, that is an alarmingly slow time. My other thing with Cam is I know he had a good camp but I don't remember him doing anything in pre season games. Like I said I hope he lights the world on fire, but I highly doubt this is Stevie 2.0. I hope I am wrong!
