Because we saw Trump's first debate appearance against Biden. I don't care how advanced Biden's dementia may be, he isn't nearly as emotionally disturbed as Trump.

The foundation under Dr. Fauci is starting to crack...
Motorin' replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Fauci's culpability is China's long term get out of jail free card. Especially if they released it intentionally. -
I don't disagree. I also think Trump has signs too, but not advanced as Biden. Not sure what it says about our country when we're given the choice between a life long sleazy politician with moderate to advanced dementia, and a raging sociopath with mild to moderate dementia. But we all knew that Biden's cabinet was going to have much more latitude in decision making than Trump's. I'm ok with that. They seem to be able to communicate and collaborate like adults.

As long as we're talking science fiction, I'd build a time machine and go back to the week before Super Bowl XXV. I'd figure out a way to get all of the bars in Tampa to have to shut down for the week, and I'd intercept Lawrence Taylor's girls and send them to Otis Anderson's hotel room the night before the big game.

Can we get Davante next year for the price of Beasley + Sanders? -
The foundation under Dr. Fauci is starting to crack...
Motorin' replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Both are extremely plausible. Some of the worst flu pandemics in history were caused by animals, and they eat bats in Wuhan. It's also plausible that China released the virus intentionally at a facility where US research was being conducted in order to pin it on us. -
Bills player tested positive?
Motorin' replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where the rubber hits the road is when camp starts. He says he's going to get tested each day and when the test comes back negative, he's going to do what all of the vaccinated players get to do at camp. Day 1 is going to very interesting. Will Cole cave and abide by the restrictions, or will he walk around unmasked and try to eat with his teammates? And if he does flaunt the rules, what do Beane and McD have to do? -
Critical Race Theory

I didn't get a chance to respond to a previous post you made where you questioned at what point do we need to stop making excuses. What I wanted to say was that it isn't about making excuses. It's about continuing to build a more fair society. And what it certainly is not about is brainwashing techniques to engender learned helplessness. Rocky and Bullwinkle are not needed to break Natasha and Boris' brain washing CRT machine. -
Critical Race Theory
Motorin' replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Part of the white nationalist framework is their belief that Asians are actually superior to white people, and that white people are superior the rest of the races. Feelings about superiority aside, CRT is about laws and their social effect even after those have have been changed on the books. There were specific laws that discriminated uniquely against specific races. To what extent the remnants of those laws still have any effect is certainly up for debate. But you are correct in asserting that the laws and social implications for Asians and for blacks are not the same thing, and they are certainly not the same thing as a collective feeling of superiority. -
Critical Race Theory

We were having a much longer conversation about many other things than just policing. And the differentiation you are making is that discrimination is not racism if there's no judgement of inferiority. -
Critical Race Theory
Motorin' replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So racial discrimination and racism are two different things in your mind. If that's the case, we've been talking about two different things the whole time. Because what we mean by systemic racism is that there is discrimination in how certain legal and economic systems function. -
I guess the the insinuation is that Beasley wants to get cut so he can be a free agent and get paid a way more this season when Belichick signs him to catch balls off the turf from Cam Newton.

It seems like there are two main factors that could effect "yards above and beyond what was blocked." The line's ability to hold their block, and the running backs ability to get through the hole quickly while the block is held. A fast rb that gains 7 yards on a run where he was able to get through the line and encounter a tackler at the 5 yard mark seems to have gained 2 yards above expected. For the exact same play, with the exact same blocking, a slow back that can't get through the hole quick enough and encounters a tackler that shed the block at the line of scrimmage but gains 3 yards on the play would have gained 3 yards above expected. Not sure if I'm getting it right, but seems like the expected yards per block is highly variable based on the rb's capabilities.

Good. That was dumb to say. I hope she actually realizes why it was dumb and is able to do better. -
It's funny, there's no Dick Cheney photo.

Critical Race Theory
Motorin' replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I just watched the full clip, and now I have Guns N' Roses stuck in my head. Referring to parents who are "anti-live, and let live, Let them die." Clever turn of phrase, dumb to actually say in a professional capacity. Now I can't get Axel Rose singing, "Live and let die" out of my head. -

Given your assertion is patently false, I don't see much of a difference. Unless she was calling for any action to be taken, in which case she should be jailed. -
So, the Arizona audit results are in...

Yeah, when does the audit of the audit take place?
