I thought Poyer got trucked more than established physical play in the last 2 years. He struggled when confronted directly or straight on. His best games as a pro in the last 2 years where when he had some better angles and solid coverage. At his best, he was a physical hybrid type safety that was highly balanced and had a knack for generating turnovers ....but not as physical as a quality true old school strong.

No. That’s insane. I mean, Daquan was playing well for us and I’m glad he’s back and all. He’s a good player. But he was never playing anywhere close to an “All Pro” level. If he was capable of playing like Aaron Donald, Frank Clark, Chris Jones or Justin Madibuke, then he’d be getting $25M-$30M a season like they are. He’s getting $8M (or up to $8M).
😵💫

I don't think he's a cancer. He's just not the arrogant hard charging personality folks want from that position. Not a great leader and very beta.

I hope we don't trade Dion. This is from a guy who was very worried about him last year.

I wanted to like Mitch, but from what I saw in Pittsburg- he's flat toast. I feel like an UDFA holds more promise. Either way, your likely not winning under MT.

The Ravens have been bulldozing teams and it hasn’t even been close in any game, until today. The shaky start today might be amplified if a team can cash in TDs. Putting the Ravens in a huge hole early is critical.
What the hell are you even talking about?

Guys, Texans have played terrible. Coached bad too. No short rout dump offs.

KC will not be overwhelmed. They have been in plenty of hostile environments before. It hasn’t been in the playoffs, but they’ve won two SB’s and have been to another.
The Rich Stadium environment will help the Bills more than it will overwhelm KC.
Yeah, it just is not that true. Not many victories on road late in seasons since 2020 and no fans. Even less versus good playoff teams.

The case can be made that the Chiefs have NEVER EVER had to play offense in an environment like Sunday's, at least not since January 1994 and 1992 when we took them to the woodshed both times.
I love it when folks say "but they played in Tampa's home stadium against the Bucs." First of all, a corporate Super Bowl crowd is nothing like this. Second... they lost.
I made this same point. Late losses @Cin over the last few years, losses @Green Bay and @Denver this year late.
None of those are as hostile as Buffalo, and we have killer DL.

Let me try to explain this to you since you can't do simple math. The Bills rushed for 2212 yards.
James Cook had 1122 that is just a little bit over half since you are poor in math
Josh had 524
The rest of the team had 566 combined.
Maybe you are the one that doesn't know football and aren't watching the games.
The Bills do not in anyway call for QB runs the way they used to in the past. When there's nothing there Josh takes off like he did vs the Steelers for 52 yards. He obviously had to do the QB sneaks because he's the QB
So basically 75-80% of the rushing yards did not come from Josh Allen.
This still doesn't change the fact you said a running QB never won the Superbowl and were WRONG because Steve Young, Elway did run.
That being said I think we will uncork some in this game.

My prediction is
TJ , Douglas and Dodson will be gtg.
Maybe Benford and Martin.
Other guys out.

Our D is so banged up that it's hard not to see KC scoring a bunch of points.
That means Josh will want to play Superman. Hopefully, it doesn't lead to what the media likes to call, "The Full Josh Allen Experience" - including some turnovers.
I'm hoping for a couple of things from these two key guys:
McDermott. He's been able to manufacture good performances despite all the guys in bandages. I hope he does so again. I hope he schemes and calls the best defensive game of his life.
Josh. I hope he avoids TOs but still makes big plays. I hope he remains patient, takes what's given, spreads the ball around, uses his legs effectively, makes good decisions, and is preternaturally accurate with the ball.
If both McD and Josh have good days, we'll win. If they don't, we could lose by double digits.
KC averages 21 points per game over their last 11. It's going to be loud, hostile, cold, and somewhat windy.
Our whole D line is intact, deep, and we get sacks and pressure. Veteran safeties with Douglas and Dodson back, we will basically have 2 solid back ups in there.
I'm not that worried about D

Honestly, I'd rather see Klein than Dodson this game. IMO, Klein is a better tackler and diagnosis the play a little quicker
No...Dodson has arguably been a borderline pro bowler. This argument is so 2022.

It's possible. I was surprised to see Mahomes road stats of 10 TD / 8 INT. + Their pass defense gives up almost 11 points above expected on the road per gameThey have not been good on the road vs big time games or hostile environments.
Lost to GB this year, Broncos, then Bengals late last year on road and 21. Killed by Tenn and close one @ Balt in 21. Very uneven on the road versus good teams.

Not sure I'm really worried. Supposed to be bitter cold at kickoff. Flags tend to stay in hand a bit more when the temp is low. Refs don't get heated benches and blowers on em. They want a quick game.
Weather report says 20 degrees ATM.

The Dolphins ran the same concepts in the run game against the Chiefs as they did with us in Week 18. That scheme was solved by playing the single high and dropping a safety down. With the weather limiting the passing game, and Tua being completely unable to handle the pressure of the day, it was an easy decision.
When the Bills ran the single high, I believe the Dolphins had 3 carries for 7 yards. Very easy to defend once identified.
The Chiefs abused Kohou, who was AWFUL yet again for Miami. If Douglas and Benford go, I expect us to shield Rice quite well.
Again, Chiefs ability to stop Phins run game was mostly a result of the Phins abandoning it in lieu of hucking it deep on prayers. Even when game was close. More a result of bad game planning/ adjustments than anything.

Listening to Chiefs fans talk about their game on Saturday it's like a different universe.
I thought the Chiefs played poorly, especially early. Tons of drops and poor throws by Mahomes. The overall energy was slow and sluggish, maybe understandably but the same old problems.
A few things influenced the result: they hit on a few passes to Rice later on and the big Mahomes runs boosted a pretty average run performance. Pacheco was at about 3.7 and though he and EH had some tough runs, there was not a consistent threat.
Lastly, Miami was absolutely terrible and looked completely overwhelmed by the circumstance and conditions. I honestly think there was more at play w Injury and gameplan that was just flat bad.
The Bills will not be that dead fish.

Thank the lord they won and make them travel one time
So Benford is ok?He was on bike but never returned? Knee is issue, have not heard he is gtg.
With Douglas returning we will be in ok shape back there, Elam settled down, though that one PI was comical.
The D is beat up though. This has to be a huge offensive game. ***** Punter may be out as well.

I live like 45 mins from Baltimore and I can honestly say, the weather that Pittsburgh beat Baltimore's backups in last Sat night was the absolute worst. Just a really cold steady soaking rain and a decent wind.
I was surprised w Baltimore game plan to throw and basically play normal. Led to turnovers and drops, when they could have run and ran Huntley. IMO they would have won easily. Especially surprised when that would have shortened the game and got everyone out healthier.

I imagine he would and should be inactive again next week. Run first Steelers, will need more beef on the edge.

Hunter Renfrow to be released
in The Stadium Wall
Posted · Edited by RichRiderBills
Renfrow would be a great addition to WR room. I'd love him at the right price.
Yes, he's not the #2 WR with jets and everything we need. My belief is the only way to find that guy is via the draft.
But we need solid depth as well, and Renfrow is a good one. 100 catch sure handed possession guys are invaluable, and Renfrow can be that.
You still draft a guy fellas, no one is saying Hunter is the solution.
