  1. Yes. Diggs was invisible in the playoffs (10 targets and 6 catches, 67 yards over 2 games) and Josh put together the best offensive performance ever against NE, and the best clutch performance I've ever seen in sports against KC. What the team at large and more specifically the coaching staff did to Allen was criminal. I don't associate anything about this losing franchise with Josh.
  2. Josh turned Josh into Josh. Diggs is great, but to put this entire teams success on anything but Josh Allen is off base. I would just consider ourselves lucky Beane and McClown didn't get their wish and draft Darnold.
  3. Fair enough. I guess the parallel for me is that he's often referred to as a goofball by teammates. I could see a guy like McDermott taking issue with that personality type and letting it get in the way of potential value to the team. That was the only point I was trying to make.
  4. Yeah, pretty interesting to contrast what his experience would be like on another team. Chiefs for example have a bunch of guys that have "character" concerns - seems like a coach like Andy Reid can put his ego aside and value the skill, while McDermott may take a different approach.
  5. Nothing earth shattering but I found it interesting none the less. A few thoughts: He seemed surprised he hasn't learned anything about what broke down. He said something like "I'm usually the Adam Schefter of the team, but nothing, I don't know anything" He was (understandably) critical of the defense during the 13 seconds in a few comments You can tell he and McDermott clash - I can't imagine he's coming back next year
  6. That specific kick probably was unfortunately. They have an awesome kicker...
  7. I guess the question is - how often do the Chiefs gain 40 yards in 2 plays? if you told me 1 in 10 I wouldn't disagree
  8. Agreed with this completely - it is the biggest thing to struggle with I guess.
  9. So I've heard the win probability thrown around that at the 13 second mark the chiefs had a 5%, 1 in 20, chance to win (according to ESPN) Assuming the game goes to overtime, before the coin flip, each team has a 50% chance to win (1 in 2) Ignoring the case where the chiefs win with a TD in regulation, a tie had a probability of about 10% ( (1/2)x(Tie Probability)= 1/20) The question - is getting upset about a 10% likely scenario (chiefs tie it in 13 seconds) really fair? It rains in LA 1 in 10 days 🤷‍♂️. Also, does the probability from ESPN (1 in 20) account for the state of the teams at that moment? Mahomes and Allen were having their way with tired defenses - maybe the likelihood of gaining ~40-45 yards in 12 seconds with 3 timeouts was actually pretty good, even better than 10%. I don't know - I think looking at it this way at least makes me feel a bit better. I will out myself as being completely irrational over the last few days. I completely disagree with the defensive strategy, and was (to a lessor extent) against what happened with the kick. I have been just about as upset with McDermott as anyone. I had never been a huge fan (attributed team success to Allen, and McDermott more just getting in the way). But maybe we were up against more than we realized at that 13 second mark. I don't know - food for thought.
  10. I will say, I feel for the reporters asking these vanilla questions all the time. There is no incentive to the coaches and players to give truthful or thoughtful answers. I find all the questioning of McDermott's 13 second decision making by the media so frustrating. McDermott has canned responses that give no insight into what happened and the reporters can't push without fear of retaliation. Pretty lame dynamic... I get it but, its frustrating right now. They can't even ask "McDermott, why did you cover the sidelines? Where was the breakdown?" or "Why did you rush 4? What was that accomplishing?"
  11. Update with Chiefs win - Patriots and Raiders more likely than before. Colts decreased...

  14. I honestly think he's foolish enough to want that trade. If that happened, what would be your response?
  15. I've been a bills fan since I was pretty young. The first game I remember watching was the music city miracle with my parents... Life as a bills fan can only be described as "perennial disappointment" for me. I thought it changed last year. I guess not. Here's what I'm thinking is my way out. 2 ultimatums. 1. If the Bills draft a defensive player in the 1st round next year. I'm not watching any games unless they make the Superbowl. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll lose interest in this waste of time hobby I've been cursed with. 2. If Allen ever gets traded or released, my fandom follows him. I think I could buy in there and escape. Maybe it would be a healthy mental excersize. Any other ultimatums out there for people?
  16. Just reminded me of this clip - hilarious...
  17. Ha! Bills fans are great, but certainly not the best in all of sports. I would argue Maple Leaf fans are the best sports fans... years of misery, perennial disappointments, yet can fill an arena on a Saturday morning practice while in last place in the NHL. I think you could probably find similar mega-franchises in other sports with crazy fans, but none of them compare to the level of crap the Leafs fans have had to put up with. Bills have some parallels with being perennial disappointments, yet having a loyal fan base though, just to a lower scale.
  18. I guess I view it as a market - supply and demand. If there is a surplus of free agent talent that can be had, we're objectively going to be taking part less in it than other teams, which is unfortunate. We are poorly positioned to this relative to other teams. I know your eyes light up at the idea of cutting dead weight like Murphy but it likely will go beyond those types of cuts. Williams, Milano- how about John Brown? Half of our D-line? Teams that have a lot of cap space are going to be well positioned to get bargain prices on good talent - we are not one of them.
  19. This is bad news for the bills. They are 19th in available cap space compared with other teams. The Bills are going to be more in the group of shedding star players than signing them. The teams that benefit from this are teams with more cap space - Jaguars, Jets, Colts, Patriots, Bengals
  20. Drinking game idea - every time this guy says "dynamic". Won't make it through a single podcast.
  21. I'll be interested to see if Milano shows up on the injury report tomorrow. Look at about 50 seconds - he looks a little unsteady on his feet after a hit to the head, maybe a concussion?
  22. gut feel going in -Jerry Hughes has a huge game. Just a feeling...
