  1. Which has been tough for me because no matter how bad the team has been in the past, special teams is usually one of our bright spots.
  2. So did Kelly... one of the things I liked most about his play.
  3. Wasn't he the turd responsible for calling the Tuck Rule in the Pats/Raiders playoff game?
  4. GoBillsInDallas, I can't speak for everyone but your postgame contributions make you my MVP! I have to give Beane some credit for bringing different guys in and trying to experiment with the roster. He's trying to make the team better and not sitting on his hands.
  5. Geez guys... the Bills just converted a 3rd and 20! When was the last time you saw something like that??
  6. Has the NFL started ordering no replays on flags or close calls? I've noticed it in different games. Just made me wonder if the league is trying to influence the bumbling perception of the referees. I haven't noticed any conversation about it... just others mentioning it as well.
  7. As far as Allen learning from the sidelines, he's probably seen more done right today than any of Peterman's or Anderson's starts. I know we want to see what's he got but I don't want Jacksonville's defense to get better at his expense... and as some will point out, reps can damage a young player if they force him to learn bad habits (bailing early, not trusting reads). Josh is a raw but talented QB, playing on what could be described as a practice squad offense. Being under constant pressure may not be what we want for him at this stage of his career (like a Jeff George or David Carr). I've been for letting him sit and learn but you need a competent player to watch and a decent line to learn behind. To this point, he's had neither. I'm not saying that Barkley is a pro bowl talent the Bills stumbled upon, but he looks like the best mentoring option I've seen so far this year.
  8. Me too Happy... I was fearing he would be just another 1st rounder that failed and got shipped out for beans.
  9. I guess our guys were smart enough to use a live chicken this time. ?
  10. How Shady got his groove back... I like how Barkley and Teller are influencing this game.
  11. He's targeted seven different receivers (one of whom was Dawkins), with completions to five (one of whom was not Benjamin).
  12. From what I've seen of the Jets defense, they're good. I would not have guessed the Bills - especially with Barkley and other changes - would play like this. Fun to see though!! I don't care if it hurts our draft position right now... we as fans NEEDED the shot in the arm. Losing seasons are a sucky thing.
  13. That was my first thought... he seems like a perfect fit for the NBA. Bell is free to do whatever he wants, as are any of us. There are consequences to some actions. If I'm a potential employer, I see a guy that is more of an individual than a team player. Nothing wrong with that... unless you're the person in charge of putting a team together. Instead of getting into the trenches with his teammates... and it's not like he's been captured and held hostage by Pittsburgh, they've not broken any rules with him... he's staying at home and waiting for a better deal, more to his liking. He already played for a consistent winner and made great money... how many other teams can he go play for where his odds of winning will increase AND they'll pay him more money? He's burned his bridge in Pittsburgh and won't get to take that offensive line nor future HOF QB with him. I don't deny the guy has talent but I think he's rolling the dice with his career. Fortunately for him, he will most likely be signed by a team that is already loaded with talent and just needs another gun or two in the armory.
  14. "You can find dozens of 'missed' calls like this in every Pats* game." There... that looks to be more accurate to me. Don't get me wrong... when you're bad, you don't get breaks from refs. I very much equate officiating in the NFL with the way MLB umps calls strike zones. Great pitchers get close calls and the benefit of the doubt more often than not. The Patriots are still one of the league's best and are treated accordingly... Late hits aren't late, holds aren't holds, interference isn't interference. Close calls on the field tend to go their way and don't get overturned due to insufficient evidence. I'm sure KC, Pittsburgh, the Rams, or any of the league darlings (winners or star players, aka ratings) could do the same to a team like ours and smile all the way. Until this team starts flat out beating some competition, they won't get the calls/non-calls in their favor... Even on plays like the Edelman hit.
  15. Whatever that means... he might stop trying? He might show emotion? He might start having two double Whoppers with cheese before each game instead of one?
  16. Man! He scored 7? I've got to post this part of the article: Kelvin Benjamin scores a 7 With the 28th pick in the 2014 draft the Carolina Panthers select Kelvin Benjamin. Opinions like Wonderlic effectiveness are all over the board. On one hand you can't teach size. At 6'5" 243 lbs. it stands to reason he has all the physical tools. On the other hand, you apparently can't teach Kelvin Benjamin either. He turned in the worst score of any receiver in this draft. I don't know what to think in regards to Kelvin Benjamin's potential in the NFL. The popular regurgitated jargon is at worst he's a solid #2, and honestly who can complain about having solid #2's?
  17. Again, a Bills fan is the epitome of hope. Even those that just KNOW this team is doomed to fail still show up because they HOPE this is the game when things start to turn around. Bills fans are among the most loyal, hopeful in the league. Glad to be one of you. Sooner or later, Pegula will get a winner on the field... I just hope it's sooner.
  18. I'd bet you he honestly feels like he played a great game. If the QB had done a better job... he is a diva wide receiver but without the production.
  19. Oh, oh... septic tsunami has a ring to it! Good one man... have to laugh...
  20. Hey, at least he was watching and learning while playing the Pats last week. It just doesn't work without their uniform on.
  21. He has expanded his post game repertoire lately to include "not acceptable" and "just not good enough". I guess he agrees with us, he just doesn't know how to fix it!
