I wish I could pin this to the board - A Bills player's heart stopped beating on the field yesterday. He is currently fighting for his life. His teammates had to witness this happen and now patiently wait for any kind of news. WHO CARES ABOUT THE #1 SEED.

I care about the #1 Seed. and I care about the players health. why does it have to be one or the other? jeesh. it goes without saying the players health is more important and it goes without saying the players/coaches should have a say or the ultimate say as to when they play.

But I for one am not going to pretend like the football aspect isn't immensely disappointing. I'm sure many of the players are dealing with this emotion as well.

Somehow I suspect the Bengals will show more dignity, compassion, and basic human decency and refuse the forfeit.

As I and others have suggested, the best feasible response is to cancel the game and figure seeding by win percentage.

or they could play the game asap. I know it's tough. and I think the players/coaches should be the ones making this decision. But I do think many are underestimating the will some of the players would have to play.

with the family making a statement later, that probably would go a long way towards how the players would feel about that.

I don't think the Bills organization will object to this decision.  Everything I've seen from the Pegulas, Beane, and McDermott tells me that they are mature adults who will bite the bullet on this because it's in the best interests of the league collectively.

Obviously I'd also be fine with giving both teams wins or going on winning percentages too.  I'm just pushing back on the argument that this game "has" to be made up.  It doesn't, and that's not even a good option.

every effort (as Im sure it is) should be made to have this game played

I’ve heard that before like just last year

If people were saying that last year, find new people to listen/talk to.

Most people I know that watch are for the first time in a long time, excited about the future. And that includes this season and their playoff chances.

Ok, I’ll trust that’s what “they” meant. Thanks though ….

there have been plenty of examples to correct this week, you just chose the wrong one.

Being a detective in the IAGD (internal affairs grammar dept) is a gritty job, but someone has to keep a check on the grammar police.

Also, i am vastly under qualified as my grammar is average. So no hard feelings.

  6. The bills are undefeated this year when our household blasts Imagine Dragon's "wrecked" (terrible song) the day before a bills game.

It somehow became a tradition, especially considering (i sh*t you not) that the only times we didn't play it the day before a game, we lost.

The Vikings game i played an even sh*ttier live version the day of, which i think angered the gods

They are so bad im not linking. But you bet your arse ill be playing it Sunday

That was IK Enemkpali, who Rex later brought here. He decked Geno for not paying his gambling debt! Can you imagine Rex then bringing him here if IK was still on the team (not sure if he would have been)? LOL. Good old Rex.

I came here to make some snarky comment intended to skewer Rex's revisionist B.S. ...

something along the lines of what you brought up! He brought in the guy that hit Geno lmao

Besides the ignorance of this post, the issue is people on the sidelines and elsewhere trying to do their jobs and getting hit in the head or face with a wet snowball is ridiculous.  The “snow”balls landing on the field weren’t soft, fluffy snow; they were dense enough to survive the impact of landing and there were many snowballs still intact on the ground. People with the “me first and only” attitudes just can’t fathom thinking of others, much less other’s rights to not be assaulted with projectiles.

So if you go to a restaurant and there’s a knife on the table, is it ok to throw it at the person at the next table?

    comparing the two is silly

  9. as a USMNT fan, I've heard how players deal with bags of urine being thrown at them when travelling to some countries to play (just one of many things that create a hostile environment). I don't want anyone to get hurt, and I wouldn't personally throw any, but I do think it creates a somewhat hostile environment for the opposing team. So I'm in. Until someones blinded of course ;)

I was concerned about those comments but then saw he wasn't limited at all last week in practice. I feel like if he was truly dealing with pain in that elbow when throwing they would still keep him limited in practice, no? That gave me hope that he's on the other end of this injury. He would still be listed on the injury report because he is receiving treatment on it, but as far as it limiting his effectiveness in games I was hopeful we were past that point.

Then of course, that strip sack probably was a set back.

Part of his comment of dealing with it for the foreseeable future is the pain of throwing the ball that is present.

He slyly said he doesn't feel it as much or at all on gameday. It is what it is for him.

  11. I take Josh at his word and think it was a meaningful admission a couple of weeks back when he said he is going to be dealing with the elbow issue for the foreseeable future.

Doesn't mean I expect losses! But I think it is an important factor and something that makes me nervous for the rest of the season and in the offseason when I'm expecting a surgery to be scheduled (shortly after he hoists the Lombardi).

He looked solid minus the one play where he let Hill have a free release off the line....TD

was he on an island on that play?

I remember the replay kinda made it look like we may been in Cover 1 or at least had one safety high, over the middle ... but it also looked like he broke to Tre's side immediately.

I would like to see better angles of that play but it did look like White was on an island, and if that is the case, I would think he would back off and not press...
