Yea I’ve told myself they aren’t getting it done this year and I’m ok with that. The past few years built up enough good will to have 1 down year. Now if they cannot continue to rebuild and bounce back the following year that’s when heads should roll.

I think it’s fair to question Beane giving Diggs the contract extension but could you imagine if he didn’t give Diggs one? People complaining about Beane, would you also be blaming Beane if Josh Allen forced his way out a month before the draft and the Bills didn’t double dip with a QB in round 4?

So by your logic KC only liked worthy and only worthy. San Fran also by your logic only liked worthy and would have taken him and yet San Fran didn’t try to move up to secure him. Also KC could have traded with any of the other teams ahead of San Fran. Look these teams aren’t stupid. They probably had a good idea who they liked. It didn’t matter, KC was always going to get him one way or another. We got one of our guys. Move on.

Who is to say they don’t sign a free agent like Boyd or trade for someone? Also there is only 1 football and that is mainly going to be going through cook, Kincaid, Shakir just like when they were winning last year. They added Samuels and Coleman, they sign someone like Boyd and how many more people do they need? Just drafting people to draft people doesn’t translate to winning games this year. I think when the Bills have identified weapons they like that they know will have a meaningful impact either through the draft or trade like Diggs they will strike. They drafted someone this year, relax people.

Fair point but this can all be answered by saying that they got one of their “guys”. Other teams are going to get players as well. We can’t pick them all.

I saw jones making plays to help his team win a Super Bowl. I saw Diggs come up short and throw his teammates under the bus. Diggs is a boy compared to Jones. I also defended Diggs and have been on record as not being a McDermott fan and wanting him fired. But the day Diggs came up short and refused to look in the mirror in addition to his toxic media posts was the day that the Bills were left with no choice then to move on.

He was under contract but you cannot expect to compete and have 1 guy that isn’t bought in and is supposed to be the leader of the team. It doesn’t work like that. Sorry.

I don’t put that much stock in people making up narratives so they have something to talk about. We just had 6 qbs go in the first 12 picks. Is this also the best QB draft? Look there were 3 really good prospects and then 4-25 all had some flaws just like most other drafts. Shakir was a 5th round pick that no one liked and his catch rate and yards per catch were fantastic the last 11 weeks. There’s only 1 football and the Bills already have some weapons on offense. Maybe not a top 5 wr but I expect the Bills to be competitive with the guys they have plus the guy targeted at pick 33.

We were up and coming in 2019. We just released a ton an older players this offseason. Have you been sleeping through the offseason? We also have a ridiculous amount of dead cap space this year.

Thats possible but what’s your point? They ended up with a guy they liked and helped fill another position on the team. I have a feeling though that Worthy was not rated that highly on their board. I think the worthy pick by KC was pretty obvious and the Bills didn’t care.

I agree with your points except that it’s not Beanes fault that Diggs is going to turn into a complete cancer after giving him a huge extension and giving him 160 targets even though he lost a step. That’s 100% on Diggs.

They most likely had a few guys rates the same and weren’t that high on Worthy that they just had to pick him.

You are totally ignoring the fact that the Bills had the choice. They passed and they passed for a reason. Many other evaluators did not like worthy at all and I was also in that camp. I’m a little worried about Legette but Coleman was their guy and they went out and got him and also were able to get the DT they wanted. Maybe in a couple years we can judge but anyone judging now is talking out of their ass Dude they traded a first round pick for Diggs. They had Stephon Diggs are you high?
