  1. Oh how quickly we forget the 7-9 years of Ralph Wilson and Dick Jauron. Under McD/Beane they’ve built a perennial winner. How quickly we forget how McD broke the 17 year playoff in his first season here with Tyrod Taylor as his QB.

Beane is also one of the better GMs in team history. Don’t forget how he aggressively traded up for Josh Allen in the 2018 draft, effectively blessing this team with one of our most talented players in team history at a crucial position.

Did we lose some quality players? Yes, but be more specific. Was it the 34 year old Hyde? Or the 33 year old Poyer? The 32 year old Morse? Which players? Be more specific.

Sure we’re in a bad spot cap wise, but that’s because we had to remove cancers from our team like Stefon Diggs, essentially forcing us to eat $33M in dead cap.

The way I see it, Beane has stocked this team up with young, cheap talent which will alleviate any cap issues in the future.

I understand that many are upset that we didn’t double dip at WR, but had we did double dip, it would have had to of been done really early to expect a meaningful impact. Would the outcome have been any different if we took Joe Schmo in RD4 than that of Justin Shorter that we took a year prior?

In closing @H2o my brother, don’t forget to make a gratitude statement or at the very least acknowledge the good that Mr. Pegula, Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have done for this franchise. Beane had arguably his best draft here outside of the 2018 Draft in which he took Josh Allen and do keep in mind that we have a flurry of picks stockpiled for next year (1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7).

  2. Change of direction is arguably more important than straight line speed, especially with JA17 as your QB. Keon has great body control, which will likely be how he creates separation in the NFL. With his wingspan all Josh needs to do is throw the ball to the opposite side of the DB and let Keon edge them out.

For the record, I’m not saying that Keon will be a good WR and I’m certainly not saying that he’ll be a bad one, this is simply how I see his “game” translating to the NFL.

A large chunk of the fanbase is still in denial.

Believe me, I went into the offseason with the same attitude.  Cut a few aging vets.  Make a few smart free agent signings.  Kill the draft.  Get some bargains post June as the cherry on top, and prepare for another AFC East title.  Hopefully more this time.  Other teams (Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, San Francisco, etc.) seem to keep the ball rolling year after year after year.  Why can't we?  I laughed off all the media folks saying the window was closed, and the Bills would be rebuilding.

But I was wrong.  Without clearly saying it, Brandon Beane has sent the clear message we are NOT expecting a deep run this year.  This offseason absolutely is a total rebuild.  Every single move he's made screams that he's building for 2025, and I'm shocked that some people can't see it.

The Jets are winning the AFC East.  It won't be close.  And we may even get passed by Miami this year.

This is Josh Allen’s team now. Before we had other leaders on the team: Hyde, Poyer, Morse and Diggs, so on.. Problem was is that these guys are all making a lot of money and they’re on the wrong side of 30. Beane essentially drafted 10-11 young guys making $300k/yr to replace them with rather than paying expensive FAs $6M/yr to do the same job.

We have young, cheap depth for miles and miles now and our cap is well under control. I do think that we added some nice starting quality pieces as well, but only time will tell..

First off having the balls to let all the old guard go that he could, instead of trying to patch things up and put the bill on the credit card.

He added three OL as well. If even one of those guys step up this line is set. A good draft overall, we have quality depth all over the place now.

  5. I’d give Beane a B+ for this draft. I think overall he added a lot of nice, cheap, quality depth to this team, but did he add any quality game changers to this team like MHJ, Nabers or Odunze? I’m not saying he did, but I’m not saying he didn’t either. Beane essentially cut a bunch of old and overpriced players from the roster and added a bunch of youth. Well done, imo.

It doesn't work like that, Dr. Einstein.

You are suggesting 40 times are straight up irrelevant in NFL football.

    They are not.

How many quarterbacks were drafted ahead of Tom Brady?

    Chad Pennington.

    Giovanni Carmazzi.

    Chris Redman.

    Tee Martin.

    Marc Bulger.

    Spergon Wynn.

it can work both ways though 😂

Which player has a higher likelihood of being successful? One taken early or one taken late?

For those of you that aren’t thrilled about the Keon Coleman pick…remember one thing.  Word came out that he was the last receiver left on Allen’s wish list. Thats a big deal. Why would Beane not want to consult the face of his franchise when trying to get him more weapons?

This tells me that Allen’s wish list included Harrison, Nabers, Odunze, Coleman, and probably Thomas. Think of it this way…if worthy, pearsall, or legette were on that list, they would have taken them at 28, or at most 32 for legette. I’m sure Beane would have liked to have traded down another time, but he could have risked losing Coleman.

I wasn’t overly thrilled with Coleman being the guy, but while he might lack separation on tape, and a good 40 time, he also had amazing splits in the 40 and other drills. The drills are where the football comes out in these guys…you know, catching the ball. Haha. Anyways…when you look at the bigger picture with Coleman, it’s not a bad pick at all. The guy is really athletic, has great hands and body control…and most of all…Allen wanted him.

Give the kid a chance. There’s a reason he went #33 and Franklin didn’t go till RD4.

They have to their old as hell. Year after year the Bills fill gaps with 1 year guys especially at DT. I think they wanted to move on from Daquon Jones tbh but had no one at 1 Tech so they brought him back. He’s 33 coming off a serious injury.  Austin Johnson is on a 1 year deal and then they have fodder like Eli Ankou. They need some stability and youth at positions including DT. Most fans only care about the given year which is fine

Is Carter going to be Chris Jones probably not but he can develop into a good backup 3 Tech and possible future 1 Tech. It’s pick 95 not 25

And we still have five more meaningful picks RDs 4-5 to add even more young depth to this team. Like you said, probably no superstars but I’m not going to say that it couldn’t happen.
