No. Josh is the toughest QB I have ever seen in my life. I just think he looks ridiculous posing like the way he does.

But again, he is a superstar filthy rich face of a franchise qb.

In what world does ANYONE care, let alone HIM, what your personal thoughts on the matter are?

Its like the selfawareness is non-existant. Everyone else seemed to think they could get through their day just fine with out coming here to dump on their QBs fashion sense. Like what is this post really even talking about here? Getting tackled easier because the dude put some thought into how he looks?

The 1st name basis of his girlfriend and then the presumed take on their relationship is a bit of a weird look too....

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to post this! The amazing thing is you didn’t even have to edit your response, it looks like you did it all in one breath. Nice job! Speaking of Diggs I LOVE his play but personally I don’t like him. Respond with something about that, I’d love to hear your take unless of course you’re too busy.

    typical tipster lol

taking 2 or 3 sentences someone just told him and parroting it back...

    'you smell bad'

    'Ya? YOU SMELL BADDER'

FWIW, I wasn't ACTUALLY asking your thoughts on Diggs...

I thought it was pretty clear that was dripping in rhetorical rhetoric.

My bad, I'll try to be more clear next time..

This always makes me laugh because when they are walking to the line on the 2nd play, it all of a sudden looks like they are on the 5 yrd line after and before magically being far back enough for bombs

I’m big on Josh Allen, love his competitive nature, amazed by his abilities but it seems like since the Britney split he’s going pretty deep on posing and modeling. I’ll admit that he looked great at the Kentucky Derby but his poses are a little too much for my liking and now I just a post on IG for caps and it was like this guy thinks he’s a model now. Sorry, don’t like it, flame me all you want but I just want him to concrete on being a rough and tough QB who plows through defenders, not a guy sitting in a armchair posing waiting on GQ to give him a call. The clothes and such are nice but truth be told the only thing that I want to see him modeling is a Super Bowl ring.

With all the change and terrible posts around here these days, its gotta be tough when people are gunning for your job.

After all, there can only be one court jester, only one village idiot.

Call it what you want, and regardless of what you post and/or how silly it may be, there is one thought I'm always left with that I'll never understand.

Its like the old man who calls 550 and wants to scream and yell about the team, and then cant name the players he had an issue with. Or perhaps its what he thinks happened didnt actually happen. This is all to say, how can people be 'fans' to the extent they want to call a radio station and complain OR take time out of their (busy?) day to go to a message board and start a topic, but have little to no clue what they are actually talking about?

It's almost like they want the life of a sports fan.... but just dont quite grasp how to do it.

I dunno, its all pretty silly. If hes playing great but isnt doing things like this you can say 'why isnt he getting attention'?

He finally gets the attention, but then isnt the best in the game it turns into 'he needs to stop focusing on xxxxx and just play football'.

Were there issues with Stef and the Met Gala too?

At the end of the day, what does 1 person having an issue with Allen's itinarary matter? What makes you qualified to criticize it?

What made you want to come here and think this was a good enough thought or opinion to share with everyone else?

Was it for attention? Was it for getting a kick out of seeing people chime in a topic you started?

Sometimes posts like this make me wish the team would start their own message board and the crazyness migrated over there.

I cant even imagine what this place would be like. I'll bet it would be one of the best and most intelligent places to discuss Bills football on all the interwebs...

    A guy can wish....

Ok well I agree with it so what must I pay better attention to? I'm just getting folks on record now cause the whole trade up thing is a very polarizing topic.

You asked a question subjectively and gave it a poll, but this is kind of a moot point. For the only person in which it matters,  the answer is yes. The player he wanted was on another teams board and he needed to do what he had to do to get the job done. That said, creating a thread 15 hrs after the fact to discuss something thats being discussed adnauseam in no less than 3 other threads is redundant.  Thus, by paying better attention to either would have given you your answer.  This is akin to making a for sale post, listing the price in the post and then the 1st question is how much. You arent the only person and this is deff a bit of me yelling at clouds but back when the BB message boards were a thing - this tyoe of post didnt exist here.

Ok so Im like many of us Bills Mafians. I HATE the thought that we traded up unnecessarily for a pick Beane decided to make in earlier drafts. Welp here we are again, another draft, another trade up in the first. Some of Beane's previous trade ups were understandable while many others were highly questionable. FOR THIS SPECIFIC TRADE UP, do you feel Beane was completely justified? Even if you believe the Cowboys would have indeed selected Kincaid and for us to get him, trading up was necessary. If you dont feel the pick was worth the sacrifice, STILL VOTE NO. So my polling question here is, DO YOU FEEL THE TRADE UP IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2023 DRAFT WAS WORTH IT? Put your current opinion on the matter on the record RIGHT NOW!

Pay better attention. The answer to this was everywhere - even casually mentioned in many articles

Yes, no doubt. Again, its literally a type of signing or trade GMs rely on each off season when constructing their roster.

Having said that, these trades generally go for pennies on the dollar,  swaps for players who both need a change of scenery,  or add ons to fill voids/depth.

Thats very different than the point of my original post where I was making the point that Boogie is not the same as Gabe or Ed and thus cant be just arbitrarily substituted as the person we dont mind giving up so lets just toss him in instead.

  8. 4 minutes ago, HOUSE said:

Except Boogie is not garbage, he is only 25. I wouldn't even trade the guy ,you will be sorry

That may be true, and everyone has their own opinion. As of now, he is commonly viewed as a miss by most fans and pundits. Even Joe Marino (who most people seem to respect in the same way they do Sal) mentioned that Boogie and AJ splitting 1k snaps next season is scary and something else will need to be added to that mix. Players will always have their fans. Some people see things others dont. The general consensus however at this point is its a whiff, or at best, hasnt shaped up as hoped.

Here’s the thing on these types of players.

If the Bills had high grades on guys like Oliver and Basham, so did other scouts/GM’s.

You obviously aren’t getting great trade value for them after they’ve been meh during multiple years of their rookie contracts, but if you’re simply looking to unload the cap hit/player for a Day 3 pick … lots of GM’s are willing to throw you a Day 3 to see if a guy they liked a few years ago is a better fit in their scheme or with their coaches.

Right, its the ol'low risk, high reward. Thats its own thing and it happens all the time because finding a diamond in the rough with a guy who hasnt lived up to his potential is just how a portion of signings or trades work.

That said, this is more in re: fictional trades where its more of a 'we'll give them this' type thing where you replace Gabe or Ed with Boogie. One of those things doesn't belong.

  10. 3 hours ago, nosejob said:

Or Shakir. I would rather give up a Boogie and /or a 2024 pick.

Well ya, but if we view Boogie as a disappointment- why would we think he holds any value? I will never understand when people discuss trades and say 'oh lets give them player x (our junk)' instead of the guy you like. If he hold little value to you, its probably safe to assume he holds little value to them.

When you think about this kind of move from the standpoint of Beane and McDermott, a two year push makes a ton of sense. Two more seasons with the same results as this one probably means the end of their tenure anyway. That would make it eight seasons for them in Buffalo.

2nd round playoff exits in possibly the best division in football do not get coaches/GMs fired. Jeesh. People sure have gotten pretty uppity and entitled around here.  Thank god the Pegulas arent this short sighted. Its crap like this that landed em in the gutter for 20 years. C'mon man... be a better fan than that.

    Honestly don’t care for this.

Why did we need strictly a runner - he offers nothing in the passing game.

Against an Allen offense you should be worried about every weapon on the field.

This, is why you have an 'RB Room' and not an RB. 2 others on the roster add what you lament. Crazy thing is..you can even have 2 out there at the same time if you'd like!

McD's seat is ice cold. He is going NOWHERE unless he has more than 1 losing season in a row.

These ludicrous takes as if McD is in danger of losing his job are some of the dumbest I have ever seen on this board and that says a lot.

You are in fantasy land if you think he is going anywhere.

    1000% Correct

However, of all the fantasy land takes on here from the 'arm chair experts' who seem to think they know their way around the team better than the actual coach and actual GM - this is a take I don't mind.

The reasoning? its a great litmus test to assess if you are dealing with someone who can have an intelligent and coherent conversation about the state of affairs and this upcoming season.

If you cant see the forest through the trees in regard to one of the most common sense, easiest conclusions that's almost written in stone..... well then I just cant take a conversation about something not so cut and dry seriously.

Football has a large share of fans who turn on the TV every Sunday and yell at the TV to fire everyone, while not understanding the intricacies of what they are watching and thats totally fine. It sure does make having legitimate conversations difficult though. Especially when the last few years things have morphed into such a 'what have you done for me lately' type of league where people are judged by their last game rather than their season(s) and body of work as a whole.

Which, is all to say, comments like that make it easy to know who to take seriously and who to not.

I don't advocate becoming complacent and being scared of change when necessary, but its worrisome how quickly people forget how bad things were and what a crap show Rex and company were. Most of the time when someone is canned for not being able to get a club OVER the hump. the result is the next man in cant even get the TO the hump. Do I have day dreams of what an offensive HC could do for this club? sure.  But they are only that - day dreams.

This club has a good things going and McD isnt going anywhere until things fall off a cliff and probably then is given a year to climb back up.

Those who think otherwise may want to reassess what they think they know, or at least keep it under their hats to avoid looking silly.

  14. Some of the comments on here are just nuts. Just a slight bit of understanding as to what the contract situation actually is makes everything drama related in these 8 pages null and void. The fact is, to those wanting a return via trade or to those who think he's playing himself off the team with infighting among teammates, haven't done a lick of actually trying to understand the situation or reading what some of the quality posters have been saying. The team and player are married for the short term future at the very least and when they roll it back next year - Diggs will be out there are the #1. You want that, the team wants that, and id be amazed if HE didnt want that. But more importantly, the specifics make it so it cant be any other way
