  1. So, I have been suspended for most of this season and then had to wait a whole month longer to be able to post. I was cleared the day before the Dolphins game but decided to just wait until this week to bring back this series I have had going the last few seasons. It's the series of posting old Bills games against our next opponent where we are playing them the current week. This week to start it off for the year, I am going with Bills at Colts from 1998. The reason why I chose this is because it was the last time the Bills beat the Colts in Indianapolis. Doug Flutie came in for Rob Johnson who got hurt very early in the game and lead the Bills to a victory. This game was also against a very young Peyton Manning in his rookie year. I was 12 when this game was played and Manning played until I was 30 lol. Crazy to think about it like that. But this was also the start of Flutie mania in Buffalo. And the 2nd of 5 straight wins after an 0-3 start thay year to work our way into the playoffs. There are 2 videos here. One goes from the start of the game until part of the 3rd quarter. The 2nd video is of the rest of the 3rd and all of the 4th. It annoys me that the NFL blocks 26 year old games from being posted but Sit back and enjoy. It's good to be posting these again. As always. Go Bills!!!

Everyone seems to think that the great 61 yard field goal solves what was a major problem. Sorry, but no, Bass is still a huge question mark, and could be a fatal flaw in the playoffs. Prior to that great kick, he missed an extra point. Then clanked ANOTHER extra point off the post. After the extra point he barely made, he mishit his kickoff, allowing a return at the worst possible time. So three consecutive shaky kicks, then one spectacular kick, and problem solved? I don’t think so.

You sound like someone I wanna have a beer with

  3. This week is a big game against the Colts. With a win, we can get to 8-2. The Texans have the Lions on SNF. With a loss the Texans fall to 6-4. Considering they have the head to head on us, getting a 2 game lead on them is big.

I kind of get that, but what would you want the other team to do?

Superbowl... Bills up 17-10.... the NFC team scores with 3 seconds left to make it 17-16

I think most Bills fans would hope for the other team to try the XP.

Yeah, but as a head coach, I could live with the fact if I went to the playoffs or Super Bowl, came within 1 point of tying the game up in the final seconds and either missed the extra point or took my shot and lost in overtime. I couldn't live with the fact that I basically gave the game away with a possible 1 point loss because of a missed 2 point conversion that I didn't need to even attempt in the first place. If the 2 pt conversion was attempted from the 1 yard line, I would agree because I would just QB sneak and tush push it in. The 2 yard line is a whole different situation. It's too long for a QB sneak, to risky to do a run play and even passing it is risky. I just wouldn't do it

I think this is a fair and simple question, I immediately thought of 2020 , which is the obvious choice but we didn't have close to the OL and run game back then.

This team just put up 30 without WR1 and CB1 against the top offense last year.

Don't see any reason we can't win out , obstacles happen,  injuries happen but I see the most complete team I've seen in the Allen era imo

Just curious of the families thoughts of  why or why not they are or aren't

    GO BILLS

The 2020 and 2021 teams have been the 2 best of the Allen Era so far to this point. I do think this team is better than the 2022 and 2023 teams so far. But the 2020 team especially reminds me of the current Lions team minus the run game. Just the total team domination every week was different that any if the other Allen Era teams

TB not going for two. You knew they were toast as soon as they kicked the extra point.  After Davis scored with 13 seconds left, I really wanted the Bills to go for two.  Chiefs were reeling. Put a dagger in them. If successful, even McDermott and Frazier aren’t going to give up a TD in 13 seconds. If unsuccessful, maybe the mind is focused and Bass doesn’t kick it into the end zone, maybe the safeties aren’t playing 30 yards deep, maybe Hill doesn’t run for 20 yards before encountering a Bills defender.  Sorry, but if you have a chance to beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead by going for two at the end of the game, do it!!

I agree with going for 2 in the regular season. To me it's stupid to do it in the playoffs when you don't have to

We have Josh Allen. We can beat anybody on any given day.

    Stop thinking about tomorrow.

    Win now!!!

There's more than Josh Allen on this team and unfortunately, he doesn't play defense

Couldn't agree with this post more.  Buffalo will need a healthy Keon and Cooper to make a run in the playoffs.  That much is certain.  If that happens and the injury bug goes away and doesn't come back this season, Buffalo stands as good a chance as anyone to knock off Baltimore and KC in the playoffs.  The possibility of getting back a healthy Milano on defense can not be understated either.  And who knows.  Maybe those other teams  have the injury bug hit them down the stretch like it always seems to hit us.  I'm not wishing that on anyone but dealing with injuries is a huge part of why some teams make it to the Super Bowl and other teams do not.

no one is saying his head isn't in the playbook.  Only that he is not close to being 100% the player he could/will be when he is fully healthy and has a firm grasp of the playbook and doesn't have to overthink things while on the field.

No, I think what he meant was not 100% close to knowing the offense. Not about being healthy

We will not match up on paper with Ravens, Chiefs and Lions this year....couple trades won't do that. We could win all three - but odds against it.

    Much rather be healthy

I actually think we get destroyed by Detroit. The thought of Montgomery and Gibbs running the ball down our throats is almost a certainty

His first game was on a short week here...and didn't play this past week (game 3).

I would say he's still acclimating, too.

He came in on a Tuesday. So, nit a terribly short week and yes, he missed this past week's game. Doesn't mean his head isn't in the playbook

I hear the cries for DT/DE and I agree with everyone but If Coleman is going to miss extended time this year, or worse, and with Cooper not being 100% healthy and not being anywhere close to being acclimated to the offense, I have to think bringing in another WR is a priority today.  Imagine trotting out a trio of Shakir, Hollins, and Samuel.  *Shudder*

Who says Cooper isn't anywhere close? He is already going into his 4th week.

It would have only left them with 1 play from midfield so it was the right choice.  With more time on the clock you punt.  For once McDermott made a good call managing the clock.

It wasn't even midfield. The Dolphins would have got the ball from their own 44 yard line since that's where the actual line of scrimmage was. They would have had 5 seconds to get at least 12 to 15 yards. I don't know if they do it

    Not gonna lie......

As much crap as I give Bass, most of it rightly deserved, I have a couple tears in my eyes because of how happy I am for him.

I love the win.....  But man, I am so happy for the person after all he's gone through.  Hopefully, this gets him his swagger back.

    GO BILLS!

I also almost got emotional after he hit that kick. That usually never happens to me much after wins. But that one hit differently and like you said, it's because of everything he has been through leading up to it
