its because Giants/Cowboys will draw about 5x the audience given the size of those fanbases. its all about the ad revenue and eyeballs my friend
I think that's a little overrated. I think people do care about matchups and in a lot of instances I believe most people will watch simply because it's football. I usually don't care what the matchup is, even if it's two teams I don't care for I will watch every Sunday night because it's football. Not because the Giants are playing the Cowboys. I think most football fans are watching either way

Why do you think it won't be Tampa? The Bills are the best team they play at home. Giants, Cowboys maybe have a bit more glitz. Saints are a big rivalry but without Brees, not the same.
I'm just trying to think along the lines of how the NFL thinks. They have the same patterns every year when it comes to these matchups. They love putting the Cowboys on primetime a bunch every year. The Saints, while losing Brees is still going to be an appealing matchup to them and its a division opponent and for some reason the NFL loooooves the Bears on Primetime. Even with all the crappy QBs and teams they have had over the years they still get 4 or 5 primetime games a year. I also think that the Bills are their best home opponent and would be an awesome game but I don't see it. I could be wrong though

The schedule is usually announced randomly right around now, 1-3 weeks before the draft on a random Thursday.
So I’m curious how many primetime games does TBD think the Bills will get?
I’d set the O/U at 3.5
HOME
NYJ, MIA, NE, HOU, IND, ATL, CAR, PIT, WFT
AWAY
NYJ, MIA, NE, NO, TB, TEN, JAX, KC
I only see @ KC as a lock, with 2-3 more coming out of @/vs MIA, @/vs NE, vs PIT, vs IND, @ TB
My guess would be @ KC in an early season (week 2-3) SNF game, @ NE in a mid-early season MNF, @ TB in a mid-late season MNF, and vs PIT in a late season SNF. Then a week 16-17 flex option vs MIA.
So I’m placing my number at 4, with a 5th possible likely flex option.
I’d like to see NE at home in primetime, but I can only envision them getting 2 primetime games with @ TB being a lock for them, and then the NFL making their own primetime a home game thus making it more likely, IMO, that we play them on the road on primetime.
The one I’m least confident in is @ TB and could see that 4th primetime game rather be that home game vs MIA to give us 2 home & 2 away instead of 1/3
Thoughts?
Bills at Chiefs would be an awesome opening Sunday night game. Somehow the league will mess this up though and give this a 1PM time slot so they can schedule the Giants at the Cowboys instead. You know because that game is more important

It does kinda surprise me that Houston and Melvin Ingram are still out there

I hope it’s not the Saints. I’d like to have some film on them post Brees.
I hope it’s not the Skins, I’d prefer to play Fitz once his arm gets tired in week 8.
i hope it’s not the Pats. I’d like to see what the new in flux of talent does to their play.
I think it will be the @Pats. Or Colts @ Bills.
Right now it looks at though it's gonna be Winston as their starter. He doesn't scare me at all and if it's Taysom Hill, even better

I think opening against Tampa on the opening Thursday night game would be awesome. I don't think it happens though
I would say at Kansas City for the opening Sunday night game would also be a great opener
Knowing the NFL schedule makers though, it will probably be either home or away against the Jets for the 4th year in a row

So, does Cody Ford get his fine paid back to him then?

Dude was the epitome of "process." Worked his way up from 7th rounder to WR1, all the while having a personality and having fun. I'm willing to bet you're in the minority of Bills fans that find him to be a loser.
He always seemed to be one of the few WRs in the league that actually gave Darrelle Revis fits. I can remember a few big games he had against him

His name is Forrest Lamp. People call him Forrest Lamp

I especially hope we don't trade up for him. That would be really stupid

So, it looks like there won't be an Allen vs Darnold rivalry like Kelly and Marino but he will play Darnold next season when we play the Panthers

What may be the only negative aspect of the Bills success for me, is my reduced interest in the draft. It is much more interesting when your team is drafting in the top 10! With that said, I hope we don't have another exciting draft for many years!
I actually prefer it in the position they are now. When the Bills picked in the top 10, the rest of the first round I didn't care for. I still always watched to see if we traded up but now that we are picking at 30, I'm actually a lot more interested in the whole thing

Usually those former basketball players make great TEs. Tony Gonzalez, Jimmy Graham (early in his career), Antonio Gates. Could be a diamond in the rough

Beane will make more moves post draft and training camp to tweak the rooster
Thats what magicians do
Beane should definitely have enough time after the draft to tweak the Rooster 😂

They spent hundreds of millions on their renovations pretty much completely changing their stadium($655m for bears $400m for packers). We moved some bushes around, made bigger entrances and painted($130m)
There’s different kinds of renovations. Ours were bandaids theirs were pretty much complete rebuilds. Completely different.
The bowl needs to be replaced, concourses widened, plumbing(I think they fixed a lot of that during last reno) it’s like $500m+ estimate to get everything where it needs to be to last another 20-30 years
Have you seen Lambeau? For all the money they put into that stadium it doesn't look like anything special. You can tell just by watching it on TV that it's a much older stadium. But it's viewed as a major historical landmark because of Lombardi and the history there. No one gives a ***** about ours

Because they renovated...
Ok. How many times has our stadium been renovated in the last 10 years alone? At least twice and we are still being pushed for a new stadium. That's the point I'm trying to make

They both were renovated somewhat recently lol.
Yes, renovated but you never hear stories about the NFL pushing for new
-
It annoys me that the NFL keeps pushing for a new stadium or renovations. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our stadium. It is an old stadium but is very well taken care of and still looks great. It's funny, Lambeau Field is older than our stadium, Soldier Field is older than our stadium but the NFL never bugs them about going new

3 first round picks are a lot but I also feel like QBs make too much money these days. One player shouldn't be making $40 million a year and handicapping a team

High mark? Wtf is that?
I believe it has to do with Blue Cross Blue Shield. My insurance card says BCBS Highmark so I'm gonna go with that

I wonder if people complained as much in 1978 when they expanded from 14 to 16 games as they do now going from 16 to 17. Not sure why people would hate this

Some more preliminary information if interested. I apologize about the crudity of these tweets. Do we really need a MNF WC game?
Why not just move the season opener to Labor Day weekend? The regular season being dragged to almost mid January seems crazy
Why can't Brandon Beane get the defense right?

I'm not questioning a thing Beane does. He's earned my trust and respect.
