Can't listen to MJD on NFLN. Such a Bills hater
He loved the Davis pick at RB and said he'd add the Bills to teams he loves but Mike Rob is hogging them.

Nope. Just rewound and watched a third time. Spectrum espn channel 26. They were talking lions pick, showed eagles pick is in. Never went to podium or vocally mentioned that pick but did show it at bottom of screen. Adverts. Returns to 49s 129 pick is in. Talked head coach of viking for 10 mins.
Found it - about 15 minutes after pick 128 espn first mentions what the pick was and shows some davis love. But I only knew of the pick from here. Switched to nfl network.
I've been following the picks online and then watching NFL Network on my TV and ESPN on my laptop. It was a nice piece that ESPN did.

Hmmm. That says to me Beane doesn't like what is left on the board. Which begs the question why did he not get more aggressive to move up earlier?
Or they have players they believe they can get at 160 and 163.

Did we just trade a 5th this year for a 4th next year?
Yes.

Buffalo on the clock. Edge or wide reciever?
They could also use a center.

They're in a superbowl window without a starter at a premium position
Coleman is going to be a stud. I do want them to take another WR. Let's just wait to the end of the draft.

We replaced a lot of what we lost, signed two safeties and a depth DE, except at top end WR
And we signed most of them to one year contracts. The draft isn't just for this year.

Maybe nobody wants the Bills 5th round picks.
Or maybe the Bills wanted to hang onto them. This year a lot of these picks will make the team. We lost a lot of depth in the off season.

Watching on espn and once bills pick is in displayed they went to commercials and when they returned it was 49s pick is in. Rewound to see if I missed something but they did not even mention who the bills pick was. I only knew from watching this thread. Wtf
Then you missed it. They did a nice profile piece on him and then showed highlights. Kiper likes him out of the backfield especially.

Sigh. Another RB in the first 4 rounds. With our last 3 picks we have taken a safety, a backup DT, and a backup RB.
Happy...Beane said today would be used for depth and immediate Special Teams contributors. We did need another RB...and Davis should be a nice compliment to Cook. Jeremiah just said he was his 3rd ranked RB in this draft. We still have 6 picks. Let's see where Beane goes from here. BTW...I expect to see Carter on the field a lot this year.

Would Cole Bishop have been the pick at 60 had the Bills known Jalen Hicks would have been there at 128?
Yes. They love Cole's smarts.

Of all the predictions and picks so far for the Bills, the thing I most surprised by is that we are at pick 123 and the Bills have not packaged any picks to move up in the 4th yet.
Either there isn't a player they covet, or they haven't been able to find a trade partner. Beane said last night that they would consider moving up depending on how the draft fell.

I heard Javon Baker interviewed poorly and teams were concerned he would have trouble picking up an NFL playbook.
This is a good point. The Bills have drafted smart players thus far. That will likely continue.

Beane in his presser said that they would expect to add depth and special teamers tomorrow. He did say that he'll see what happens in Round 4, but that likely he will move up as players start to drop. He said that he tried to move up for Bishop in the 2nd because he was the only player left on their board with a second round grade. He said "fortunately, no one took my calls."
-
Beane said that Bishop was the only player they had left on their board with a 2nd round grade. I wonder where they have Franklin?

Watching Carter's presser with the media...he reminds me a lot of Lorenzo Alexander. I think this guy will become a team leader pretty quickly.

I believe so from the scouting reports.

I expected the Bills to likely draft a safety at this pick. Cole Bishop is a great pick. Yes...I want them to double dip at WR, but to me their two biggest needs were WR and S in that order. They got great value at both picks. Instant contributors. Bishop will knock Worthy back to Texas!
