  1. Indeed... it's comorting to know that the Bills are in the same class as the lowly 49ers.
  2. Hopeless homer
  3. The Eagles history of drafting linemen is extremely good. I think I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Let's see where Justice ends up in 1-2 years. Youboty hasn't been active for a single game. That must mean he "sucks." And yes, he has had plenty of time to get in game shape and grasp the defense...
  4. Last week, most posters called me a retard for claiming I'd rather have Vick than Losman at QB.
  5. Against 2 pretty good teams in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. I think he's proving that he's a pretty good passer when given a chance.
  6. The Eagles' offensive line is very good. They can afford to take the time, let him sit and watch him develop. He will be a starter (and a good one) in 1-2 years. On this team, Justice would instantly become our second best lineman on offense.
  7. The dude isn't even in game shape yet. That's the real problem. He barely exerted himself in training camp and has missed most of the regular season... so it will take few games, but I do feel that he will return to form.
  8. And that would have been the RIGHT thing to do. McCargo had the benefit of playing in a 3-4 defense. His defensive linemates? Mario Williams (the best end in the country last year) and Many Lawson (a stud who went before him to the 49ers). Mark my words, McCargo is no stud himself. Decent player? Yes. Starting material? Borderline. Mangold was a solid starter coming out of college and would have fit perfectly in an offensive line desperate for help. The bottom line is Levy banked on Tutan Reyes (who Carolina was happy to let walk) and we are paying for it now.
  9. These same people backed TD's every move when he was here. Then when he leaves, they are the FIRST to post any article or piece of news that implies he did a crappy job.
  10. You are clearly not very bright if you are comparing the two. Jennings, in his 2 years with the 49ers has played a very limited role. Spikes, in his 3 or 4 seasons with the Bills, already paid dividends before his injury.
  11. Shhh.. stop speaking logically. The Bills sign free agent re-treads for their offensvie line. Spending first day picks on the line is a no-no after Mike Williams.
  12. So by your logic, Jonas Jennings would not be considered a "bust" for San Francisco.
  13. Scott Pioli.
  14. The new defensive coordinator and scheme were in place before the draft and free agent signings. As the Bills laid out their offseason plan, they went after Bowen and pretty much decided they would take Whitner even if Reggie Bush was on the board (sarcasm, though these days you never know). Depth at the line positions is something good teams spend premium picks addressing. Depth at strong safety is what laughingstock organizations focus on... no wonder we sit here today headed for yet another season without a playoff berth.
  15. If he was truly that good, was there a need to draft Whitner in the top 10?
  16. Nobody said "cut." Claim that he's overrated? You betcha.
  17. Well said. Anyone see Chester Taylor rip a 95 yard run against Seattle? It was a thing of beauty. How about Warrick Dunn's 90 yard run against the Giants last week? The same guy who has a solid 8 or 9 years MORE wear and tear than our beloved back. Both RBs ran through very similar holes and managed to accelerate as they hit the open field and score. Not Willis. I suppose it was JP's fault?
  18. If Bellichick were on this team, Willis' antics would not be tolerated. Missing blocks, running out of bounds to avoid contact with a defensive back and get yardage, and often dancing before hitting holes... With that being said, Bellechick being the coach that he is, might force him to get better in that regard.
  19. Well said. Willis is a mediocre back... and running backs rank among the easiest to replace. But just step back and watch as everyone on the board considers him a top-5 caliber back.
  20. Perhaps I was too harsh. But I have seen enough to believe that (a) he doesn't have breakaway speed and (b) he doesn't play hard consistently, he plays hard when he wants to.
  21. Doesn't show up on the field. He is a wuss who fears contact and isn't nearly as fast as people proclaim. Exactly what we want in a franchise back.
  22. Willis is mediocre in both areas.
  23. What Kelsay did was truly one of the stupidest things I have seen in professional football. He should have been benched for the rest of the game and maybe even one game afterwards.
  24. Nick Mangold (better than Villarial, starting for 4-3 Jets) Winston Justice (better than Gandy) Deuce Lutui (better than Villarial) Marcus McNeill (starting at LT for SD, better than Gandy)
