Another horrible QB draft class. The only QB who has done anything was the last guy picked in the draft. 1st 2 QBs already traded.
Yeah. Good QB's only seem to come around every few years.

They dropped 22 spots and now have a backup on a 1st round pick salary.
Waste
Maybe the Steelers retain some of his salary, but it still seems like a dumb move to me.
7 minutes ago, Captain Hindsight said:Whats there to get? They traded for a backup that recently was a 1st round pick. For essentially a 4th round pick. If they liked him coming out, there like him better than a QB option in the draft in the 4th round
If the Bills made this exact move, we would all hate it. At least I would.

Don't understand this move from Eagles perspective?
Only way it pays off is if Hurts misses seom time and Pickett looks good and then you trade him.
All they did was lose draft position and gain nothing.
What am I missing?
I also don't get it. Just sign a QB off the trash heap. I do not understand giving up a 4th rounder for a backup QB when you can sign one without giving up any draft picks.

Good for him!!! Wish him all the best. And no that’s not sarcasm
Yeah, I'm not sure why so many have to kick dirt at him. He is a good guy and teams find him valuable in the QB room. He has carved out a nice niche for himself in the NFL.

I wish him luck. He can be an effective player if used correctly.

This is an odd reaction to the signing of Tim Settle, haha.

What??? This can't be. I was told that the Bills weren't doing anything else of note (after day 2 of free agency).

It's the 2nd day of free agency. The roster is nowhere near being set.
Fans do this every year. There is no rush. Let it play out. More moves are coming. We'll have a better idea of what the roster will look like by training camp. That's how it works.
Also, do you want to be one of the terrible teams spending big in free agency? The Panthers? The Raiders? The Bears? The Falcons? Those teams all suck. We don't want to be like them.
Build through the draft. Sign value free agents. Once in awhile, go spend on a name you think will really help you, but that shouldn't be all the time.

Dolphins desperate for information. They are going to be pumping Poyer and Neal for Bills secrets and game plan strategies.
-
He's been injured a lot lately, but he is good. He'd be perfect if there weren't such injury concerns. It will be interesting to see what he gets paid.
-
Wow, good contract for him. We definitely were not going to pay that. But he is a decent player. Good luck to him.

This is a Trent Sherfield level signing. I really hope this isn't the end of our WR free agent shopping.
The roster doesn't have to be set until September.

This is hilarious. Bills castoff Singletary replaces S. Barkley. Bills castoff Moss replaces Joe Mixon.
Jacksonville will likely not bring back Ridley so he’s replaced by Gabe. Hahahaha!
Teams realizing finally how dumb it is to pay running backs.

"16 months ago, the Los Angeles Rams offered two first-round picks (2024, 2025) and a second-round pick (2023) to the Carolina Panthers for the services of edge-rusher Brian Burns, and the Panthers turned the Rams down."
Jeeze. The Rams sure don't care about their draft picks. That is a reckless offer. And the Panthers are moronic for not accepting that.

Dang, I guess the punt god really is going to be the KC punter. Those bastards,
Townsend is a great punter, so this is a good thing.
Punters, though...

Can someone explain the downside of this? Like why wouldn’t every team in cap trouble just restructure as signing bonuses? I know it’s a dumb question. But I don’t know the answer.
They do, but it only goes so far. Beane has been balancing it all very well, but it takes a savvy GM to make it all work. You also have to have an owner willing to write big checks.

Justin Jefferson is happy about this signing
Funny Lewis gets blasted for this all the time, because he was exactly where he should be, stuck to one of the best receivers in the league in coverage and he made a play on the ball. It took a generational grab in order for Jefferson to come down with that.
Lewis is pretty decent, honestly.
12 minutes ago, ngbills said:These deals kill me. We are so willing to waste a million here and there that could add up to a $10M difference maker. This role that Cam Lewis plays could be a rookie or min level contract. McD is stuck on keeping the familiar with all these guys.
No I am expecting a rookie or similar value contract. Let Lewis walk.
I guess you have beef with all 32 teams. They all make signings like this. You have to fill out your roster. They all sign cheap depth guys. They all value time in the system.
-
Good depth.

Good for him. I wish him the best.

Running Back- whats the plan?

Sign a guy or draft a guy. Running backs are not hard to find.
