Carr would immediately improve our offense and give our defense and running game a chance to carry us into the playoffs

    Wait, what?  The playoffs?

Heh.  You know, I've been thinking how angry so many fans are here and wondering how that can be - surely we are hardend by now, we drafted a QB, ended the streak and we know we are rebuilding with tons of draft capital and cap space coming this post season.  I think I get it finally - you all are not angry, you're just plain mad!

Love your optimism but I can't see us going 5-4 or 4-5 over the last 9 games. I truly hope to see it as it means Allen is most likely taking strong steps forward going into next season though.

We still have both jets and dolphins games - not great teams and AFC East rivals are always tough to beat twice - so there's two likely wins.  Maybe toss one more in there in case jax or chi or NE have a bad day else maybe it comes from sweeping jets or Mia.  I predict 5 wins for the season.  4 would fine too though.

Point differential. . .a loss is a loss.  Yea, I know but take it as an excuse to party more or whatnot.

I just hope JA returns so that we can at least have that to focus on.

I think that the "process" is nothing but a stolen platitude from Nick Saban and the Philadelphia 76ers.  They cannot even come up with their own catch phrase.

McBeane then invoke "the process" without ever bothering to ever define what the plan is . . . in an apparent attempt to prevent people from evaluating the plan or how McBeane are progressing according to their own metrics.

In the end, the QB mismanagement demonstrates that they are just making it up as they go along.

So your gripe is that they did not have a sexier new term for rebuild?  I refer to it as a 'rex ryan (and his idiot brother) fumigation'.  You're free to use.  ;o)

The plastic tarps should come off for next year so we can see our new but very young team take its first steps.

The process (or plan) has never been articulated and is intentionally completely amorphous.  As a result, McBeane (and others) are able to say (after the fact) that such and such was part of the process.

Meh.  What do you want?  McD to get into his tardis and see what happens over the next off season and draft and then what next year reveals and so the 2020 draft as well; complete with unexpected player losses all the way? It's a rebuild and the future is always cloudy.  Jeez.

While I hate to see us change up regimes, and I'm not saying we will, but next season will be starting with almost 90 mil spent on FA's and solid draft positioning.  If we aren't solidly competitive, at least 8-8 with close games, I wonder how long this lasts

Next year will likely see a very young, very fresh group on offense with many mistakes yet to learn from.   8-8 might be an unfair goal.  2020 is where I'm focused.

    Question:

Have they even really brought ANYONE in for the offense to this point?

If you were calling the shots you wpuld be spending money right now on offense for this team?  Why?  Are you one the folks that think spending good money on an older player such as Bryant would be smart this season?  I just don't understand unless it's purely emo reasons - thinking 6 wins would be better than 3 wins and worth spending money to accomplish is illogical.

    Is Sean McDermott any better?

Rex destroyed the Bills defense, McDermott has the worst offense in the NFL on the field.

    Rex: 15-16

    McDermott: 11-11

Rex took a team and instanty ruined it and then in year 2 somehow made his mess even worse; read somehow as hisnidiot brother.  McD is fumigating that mess and rebuilding.  The D is there and the O is coming soon.  Next year will be that young O learning and then in the 2020 season we can judge.

Rex was a disaster.  Hopefullly, McD is the contractor who can repair the damage but it's way too soon to say.  January 2021 you can report back for us.

We made the playoffs last year, we were supposed to grow off that

Never were expectations set as a rebuilding/ failed year.

not sure where you were but many/most of us understood what this year was in the process.  As for mcD spelling it out to us he did state that it was going to be a multiyear process.  Not sure how much more honestly you expect an NFL head coach to communicate.

One of the biggest reasons I didn't want Rosen was his attitude. I didn't think coming from a rich family/southern CA lifestyle would mix well in Buffalo.

His mannerisms last night when things weren't going his way came off kind of like a Jay Cutler, just kind of pissy, and I believe that stems from his upbringing. Allen is much more humble and down to earth, more "Blue collar" so to speak.

Agreed.  I was leaning for Rosen draft night until he started having a bit of a tantrum or what not as each pick was not him.  Seemed very spoiled, entitled and immature.  Made me glad for JA that night even.  No room for bret kavanaugh at QB in this working town.

  10. I tell Kim, "legends lingerie league is not discriminatory.  It would probably do great in Buffalo". . .Those ladies catch better than this damned team, my god. . .I bet these people would only complain incessantly about the QBs accuracy and footwork anyhow though.

  11. I've got it!  I'm the one that's got it figured out.  Everyone seems so miserable over this whole thing - let's lighten up and take the p-ss and smile, smile, smile.

Trade JA to the giants for their first round pick and we tank with petermen and clean up the draft a la cleveland last spring.  We bring back the whammies and just laugh our way to 2019.    Almost half way there anyhow.  Ha.

I doubt that the Pegulas have no respect for the fans, however I can see that you have no respect for your third grade English teacher.

Ha.  It's two long strings of alphabet tears seperated by a single, lonely period along the way.  OP - you couldn't have given him a single comma to keep company with?

  13. The whining never stops.

This song is dedicated to the OP and all the other feckless whiners out there:

Sugar daddy, come on and sugar me
I want your lovin' so come on and give it to me
    Sugar daddy, sugar daddy oh
Look at me I'm begging for more more more....
    Sugar daddy set me free.
    Sugar daddy come for me.

the modern NFL is all about offense and having a great QB who can distribute the ball to playmakers...

this "great defense" will get lit up for 30+ vs NE on MNF, so what's the point?

Build a great offense that scores 30 a game, field a defense that can make the other team punt a few times and maybe get a turnover and you're going to win 11+ games.

Build a great defense and field an offense that can barely string together 2 first downs and you're going to win 5 games

There's name for what you are describing - the process.  Spring 2019 brings the young offense.  Prove me wrong. . .

Because there’s nothing in between bashing a player publicly and saying you have full confidence in a player that obviously sucks?

How old are you?  Myself, I would lose respect for McD as a leader if he did something so pointlessly mean to a player.  It's not how to handle personnel mgmt.

McD has no obligation to tell us anything; or Indy for that matter.
