I've, once again, written and deleted a good, honest response to the whiners on this board.  Deleted because I don't want to hurt your little feelings any more than they so obviously are already.  The OP and other like-minded here have it totally right.  The whiners will always justify their bitching as being "skeptical" and the rest of us are homers or cheerleaders.  Whatever.  We know who needs a diaper changed here and who doesn't.  It really makes me sad to be a Bills fan when I read some of the bitching and moaning on this board.  I honestly cannot understand what you all get from constantly chiming in every chance you get to snuff out anyone's positivity.  Like you fulfill some deep need to ensure the rest of us and our positive thinking are always in check by your unique wisdom.  Oh how our lives would be so incomplete with you all.  How can we ever thank you enough?

I'll have to cut myself off again now before I go too far.

Haters gonna hate.  It's what they do. Misery loves company I reckon.

They got two scores from a blocked punt and a muffed punt almost in the red zone

bills special teams are the other problem.  Lots of bad mistakes this year; punter and houshka aside.

  2. OP - I think it's ego and testosterone based mainly.  The odds that any given rookie QB will become a major franchise QB and see SBs is well under 50% - obviously.  So, going in early and trashing him is the safe bet for future 'told ya so" and generally I'm more NFL knowledged than you.

No one can predict anything after 5 games with this offense.  Just a bunch of boys who like pissing matches is all.  Very annoying though.

I can't say this enough.   People who follow this team are sick of the losing.

People around here are sick of the losing.

Try decaf and maybe some paxil.  Putting 20 years of your mental health and frustrations on this kid's shoulders is jerky.  He doesn't deserve it - give him time (and maybe some WRs).  Cripes.  Get a grip, man.  Damned clown.  ?

Except for the teams who decided in the draft Allen was garbage and were not going to pick him, I guess they were just clueless trolls.

You're logic is all wrong.  Deciding to take another player does not equate to thinking JA garbage.  You're thinking would mean that the Giants thought every player not named mayfield or barkley was garbage.  Prove me wrong. . .

  5. How about a QB guru?  Not sure if already been done before or not.  Say, sign Peyton manning as QB guru to help out.  Not a coach though - the guru is more free and has no paperwork and player discipline and such and need not be on hand on sunday sideline.

Getting an very good active QB to start and train the rookie costs getting a very good and active QB - no go.  Why not find a great recently retired QB and ask for 10-15 hours a week or so with our QB squad and coach?  Not a full time job he needs to relocate for but pay accordingly.  $1mil?  I dunno.

In any event, there's another factor that likely sealed his fate as a starter for now.  Watch the body language of the WRs when he makes a bad pass or a wrong read.  They are visibly upset on the field.  We've also seen this with JP and EJ.  It wasn't long after the WRs acted up that the QBs were benched.

Allen's elbow injury came at the perfect time.  Sit his butt down for a while.

These WRs cannot possibly complain about the QB.  You got jokes.

What does Jesus Christ have to do with it? Why would you randomly say that at the end of your response? Why not any other religious figure?

A visor and a mustache?  Jesus christ.  Ha.  Sorry.  Like, hey, if yer OK with this guy saying the names of other religion's figures then you'd best be OK with the random JC drop - at least he's still in the conversation, right?  Not yet obsolete like say, Zeus.  No such thing as bad publicity and all that

Sleeby set the bar with Buffalo being a "Small town, simple values" kind of place.

This one came close, but ultimately fell short.

Football fans get tremendous insight into the "mental health" of a player by watching a few games.

Well, how would you describe buffalo?  Not small, not blue collar, not rust belt, not aged and old fashioned valued?

Are we large, white collared, warm weathered, young, and insensitive to everything?   Ha.

Anyhow, I'm not giving my opinions - just stating what we all saw - shady had to apologize and promise to fit in before he even got here due to a tweet and watkins had to apologize after the city got up in arms over his nonsense tweet.  Neither mattered to me.

I guess if small town with simple values isn't the reason then it might simply be small, racist town. . .but hopefully that's not it.  Eh?

OBJ might be cool with most here but he would rock the good boat buffalo something else.  This town is conservative - not so much progressive.  Look at the election results for erie county if you wish.

Who cares if McCoy wants to have an all girls party, I sure as hell don't. If you do I suggest maybe stepping back from life a little bit.

So its ok for fans to be complete dicks to players but not the other way around, so double standard, got it.

You are putting a lot words in my mouth.  I also do not care if he wants to party with girls - but this city did care.  It was a thing and he had to apologize and he never again crossed whatever line.  Again, prove me wrong. . . without making up ideas about me personally.

This is the biggest crock of BS i have ever heard.

Do you not remember shady's invite for women to send him photos so that he might select who to party with when he arrives?  Or watkins' tweet about the little people?

Not BS - this is a small town with simple values.  Keep that crap in Dallas or NY or La or Philly.

    Culture trumps strategy, right?

As long as get some undersized, lunch pail boys who work tirelessly at their craft, we're good.

I in no way said undersized and am not even sure what lunch pail boys are.

I could not agree more. OBJ is an arrogant jerk, but he’s not Ray Lewis or Ben Roethlisberger. He’s full of himself. Imagine that, a highly talented WR with an oversized ego. If he was a Bill no one on this board would care - except for the trolls - and a bunch would wear his jersey.

Only bills trolls would care about a jerk face, loud mouthed WR in Buffalo?  I think most would be unhappy - in buffalo at least and maybe here as well.

Shady, on his way to buffalo, tried to party with girls and learned a quick lesson before he even got here.  He has not repeated that mistake.

Watkins tried his luck with the prima donna WR tweet one time. . .amd learned his lesson and was then traded.

TO even knew enough to keep it together his short time here and was much appreciated for it - still liked here.

Buffalo is not braggadicio.  We are hard work and get er done rust belt.  Fred Jackson is what works here - not OBJ.

    Prove me wrong. . .

I would MUCH rather go 8-8 than anything less than that. I don't want the top pick in the draft. I don't want a top 10 pick in the draft. I want the team to be competitive every single year and win asany games as possible.

So you're the guy who thought the past 20 years were great!  Heard of you but thought an urban legend was all.  ;o)

Our running game could pick up, Shady could actually be utilized properly, Allen could get into a groove. Alot can happen. We are 2-3, not 0-5. We are very much in it.

Nooo!  Please not another 8-8 year.  Just not this one time.   Look good, grow, identify areas unable to grow into the role and then replace.  2019 - do our best with our good D and very young O and onward from there always forward and never straight.  ?

If the Bills FO trades their ONLY offensive player that has any chance to make a defense game plan for, then they should just be truthful to the fanbase and openly admit that the the current goal in 2018 is not to win games.

What did they tell you when they elected to start Peterman as #1 QB back before game 1?  I don't think the bills have been deceitful or tricky in any way.  This is the process - not tanking but playing for development and future; not 2018 rings.

Bear in mind that despite all of the happy talk re McBeane, they can't really have back-to-back bad seasons. If the Bills are bad or ho-hum next year, they pressure will be on. They need to take a big step forward next year.

Oh, boy.  Like, I hate to be the one to tell you this but the post Ryan idiot brothers fumigation of OBD is going to likely be at a year longer than you expect.  Next year will be a very, very young offense of many new players.  Next year we will he the browns of this season.

As for what McBeane taking pressure for it they already are - bills fans here this week are angry.  Heh.  Is what it is and will always be.  If they build a team around the emo needs of this fan base they will create an interesting mess.  Heh

  17. A lot of talk about culture in the locker room and trading shady would teach the team that winning doesn't matter.  I see the point. . .sort of - but:

The 2019 bills offense will be almost all new players.  I think everyone in that locker room knows that.  Very few offensive side players are safe from replacment when the masses of draft picks and FA and trades get signed.  So what is the difference?  They know they are playing an uphill battle for their jobs this year and not for AFC rings.  That's got to be the culture there now.

Defense should see that they are not playing for rings this season as well and appreciate that mgmt is doing all they can for the near future.  How could the defense be happy with the offense right now?

I like shady and my son loves him and has his jersey.  But I'm still bought into McD and the "process".  Do it.

  18. In the tele broadcast they showed JA on the bench watching as mariota hurdled a defender.  I'm pretty sure Josh's inner monologue said "if this goin to be that kind of game then I'm gonna stick my stuff in tha mashed potatas!"    Fortunately, the potatoes went unviolated and the bills still got the win. Good game.
