  1. So obvious he's on the attack because this game brought the Bills D to top ranked.  We had a great, #4 D when he arrived as a supposed defensive genious and he destroyed it instantly with his stupid, convulted system.  Now he's on TV and knows the nation saw the Bills D return to tops as soon as he - and his idiot brother - left town.

Rex was proven an failure and his jets pounded the final nail in that coffin.  Lol.  We all see through you rex.  Dumbass.

I don't know if they tanked, but you're right about Barkley.  It was one game.

Being down 31-3 at halftime to the 2018 bills needs to be called something if not tanking.  The jets never showed up. Perhaps bowles has lost the locker room, I dunno - but that was not an NFL team that cared about the results we played on Sunday.

Why shouldn't the other party, who actually has the equity stake in the job, not be permitted the same leverage as the first party to the contract?

Simple - because you eventually end up with end game capitalism - the US today as an obvious example.  In other words, it doesn't work is why.  Giving the company the rights of a person is fantastic for companies and so for the markets.  The markets doing well is fantastic for the wealthy.

The companies are part of the society and need to be kept from destroying it when it might become monetarily beneficial for it to do so.  Again, see the US - the markets are high and the rich are.filthy.  about 50% of the US does not have $2k in savings much less.inbesting in the stock market. Assuming we care about the future of the USA then who's health should we concern ourselves with - the people working the jobs and payimg taxes or the billionaires who own the companies and pay less and leas taxes every decade?  I say the people or bust.  The alternative is the bad place.

I'm out.  This is a football forum and a Friday night.  You take last word.  Ciao.

Edit - sorry about all the grammatical problems above.  Let's agree to blame the phone. . .

I'm a person who responded to a post you made in a public forum.

Again, employment is nothing more than a contract based on a mutual agreement to associate.

You should be free to leave your employment agreement for any reason, why shouldn't the other party?

Ok, let's go with they should be allowed to remove and replace as desired no major rules save discrimination .  that's your stand.  So therefore it's smart and acceptable and, well, common sense capitalism that they fire their US staff amd replace with alternatives that make best sense - cheaper educated labor in other countries such as India; cheaper less skilled labor in other countries such as Hong kong and china and cheaper lesser skilled labor domesticly such as young men in their 20s and recent immigrants.  Why keep the janitor who's been doing his job well for 30 years and making more than the minimum they could pay a recent high school grad or guy back from the wars and looking for.a job?  Screw em. The janitor shouldn't have stayed so long amd started making more I guess.

Let's worry ourselves about what's best for the 1% a few more decades and see how the US turns out.

Why?  It's not your job.  It's the employers job, which he has agreed to allow you to do for an agreed upon sum.

I'm pretty sure that that you should be able to choose to leave your employment for any reason (even discrimination).  Why should the other party to your contract not be permitted to enter into it on the same grounds as you?

Not sure who you are but the person I replied to had an avatar of a youngish, fit and able looking white guy - wait until he turns 59 and develops rheumatoid arthritis or whatnot.  The gig economy shift is for the .01% and not the workers.  But, hey, pity them and screw the masses I guess.  Whatever works for ya.

The League decided more passing and scoring would be a better product. They just forgot to check if they had the inventory. Ten years ago or more, a really good defense could negate a really good QB. When they shifted the rules to get more scoring they created a game where only a great QB can beat a great QB. Since there isn't enough great QBs for everyone, some teams are just plain left out.

So what do you do? You can't create more great QBs, and they don't want to give up the scoring they believe will make the product more popular. They can either change the rules to encourage QBs to move from team to team, which just means you have the same problem, just on different teams, or you change the rules to make the running game as productive as the passing game. I'm guessing they would need to change rules on holding, maybe pre snap motion or anything else they can do to give the non QB teams a boost.

I'm just tossing this out there for conversation - never going to happen - just hypothetical; in other words - don't attack me on this.  Heh.

Smaller ball.  Very few NFL players can properly throw an NFL football.  Or so I've heard NFL players state.  A slightly smaller ball would open up the market to many young guys with all the skills and the height but not huge hands.  Ever shaken jim's paw?  Anyhow, maybe there could be more than a handful of greats available at a time.

I can't tell you how sick I am of seeing KB playing for the Bills. I want KB and Croom released right now so we can at least evaluate 2 other potential players at WR and TE. There is no way possible that either of these players are on the 2019 roster.

Agreed.  May as well look at some young long shots while we have the opportunity - better than preseason.

We're 2-7 right now. Some of you want to play Allen just to win meaningless games? He just got injured bad. Now, he's rushing back to get injured again. Sounds stupid. Mathematically speaking, playoff chances are near zero now. Barkley is not going to do anything here. Philly and Chicago passed on him. To me, that says a lot.

I'm ok with loses at this stage but if JA is 100% then he should play.  I'm hoping the second jets game is JA vs Darnold.

  9. We should beat the jets if they put up the stats they did today against Miami.  Darnold looked bad yet again (by the numbers anyhow) - 50% comp, 200 yards, 4 int and 4 sacks.  Tough times there.

The only games I'm really curious about left are the jets (darnold) and anytime JA is playing.  As this year progresses I'm becoming more and more convinced that JA is more desirable than darnold and Rosen.

Pretty much what I saw as well.  Gang Green pretty demoralized after losing to the Dolphins.

Are they trashing Darnold as so many here are doing to JA?

People do realize that this draft is loaded with DL talent (aka what we're not looking for) and very few guys worthy of top 10 picks on offense (aka what we need)? All the other teams mentioned above except for Arizona will more than likely be taking defense so we probably won't have to compete with other teams for OT Jonah Williams or whichever WR we'd want to grab.

All good - we would then trade our top 3 or whatever pick for two later picks (say a later first and a second).  Almost an entire O to build.

We're really playing 4D chess while everyone else is playing checkers.

McDermott & Co. next-leveling the s*** out of these coaches!

Last week it was WC & flea flickers, this week it's left footed punters. Maybe next week we'll put Shady out at Center, snapping to Ivory.

I heard that Peterman has been practicing the art of the elusive drop kick in the barn this week.  Shhh!  Don't share.  This could be huge for us.

The only argument to be made is when someone puts up 1.4 Billion he should have his voice heard when the actions of his employees start to lose him money.

Nonsense.  Employees have contracts.  By your logic any employer can fire anyone for any reason so long as they can tie it to profit.  Female employee pregered up?  Fire her.  Sorry.  You're wrong.  Can your employer fire you for not standing for the anthem?  It's surely not in your employment contract same as it's not in theirs.

It's a simple concept, really. I can't believe how many people can't understand this. If I owned a business, and an employee is costing me money/business, sorry bud, you're gone.

You obviously know nothing about running a business.  You would be sued repeatedly and into poverty. There are labor laws.

Hes not helping the team at this rate. He thrives in space and there is no space. Ivory is a better fit.

Have some decency and send him somewhere he can get a ring before he has to retire.

He's pretty much our best WR.  If JA is to play much morenthis season then shady has a real purpose.  Either way though, i would be fine with trading him as he's not really a part of 2020 and beyond most likely.
