If they play Peterman again I am off the bus and they can fire the lot of them for all I care.
Therefore you advocate spending more money on yet another QB rather than play what we already paid for and who knows the playbook? We have two wins. Play n8. Maybe he will do better and we can then trade him for something.

Per Bill Parcells, "You are what your record says you are". 2-6 says terrible football team that is currently in position to draft 4th overall in 2019.
Watch out for the browns though - they showed yesterday that they will go lower than fourth before this season is over. If we're to draft before cleveland in the spring we need the services of one n8 Peterman.
Nathan Peterman, you're our only hope. ?

Trading shady would be wise imo. For those only pointing out ivory vs shady though I do want to add that shady is likely our best WR. He would be very much missed. If JA were to have many more starts this season then shady would make more sense to keep just for JA to have him there to throw to.

Just hurts his development for next year. Anyone thinking he's going to come out and put up a 11-5 season in 2019 is in for a disappointment. At best 2019 will be a 7-9 year. in 2020 we will know if he's our QB or not.
2019 will likely see the youngest offense in the NFL with many rookies as starters. Hopefully the team developes as the season progresses but 2019 is still process. It's a fact.

If josh and Derek are injured then N8 starts. No question in my mind. There is no one else and he knows the playbook - and he even won the starting role just 7 weeks ago.
Not saying anything more than the logic of it. No sense spending a lpt of money on an aged vet at this point - 2 wins and all.

But what do they do if Allen isn't ready to come back yet and Anderson is out next week. Seriously without any of the any bum off the street/inanimate object could do better crap. Who do they have that knows the offense that can stand behind center if neither of those guys can play next week.
TT.

This is the best news ever because Peterman will lock up the #1 overall pick for us.
Not so fast - cleveland might have something to say about that. After today they are only a tie ahead of us and suddenly without head coach and OC. Bottom feeding SOBs. I bet they get a better draft slot than us yet again.

Hands down our best wr!
Holmes might have something to add to that. Couple of nice catches tonight and last week.

This is not funny. I know it seems funny - "the browns always find a way to up the anti", "misery loves company", etc - but it's not. This is war on the Erie shore people; draft terrorism.
They are a mere tie ahead of the bills right now and with this river-on-fire of a mess they will likely end the year with a better draft slot than buffalo again. These bottom feeding SOBs are not going to share any food that falls to the mud with us.
Dirty pool I tell ya!
We need to let them know we see what they're up to and send a stong reply. N8 Peterman needs to start tonight. Do it!
-
Stay alert and be safe out there for those going tonight. National broadcast might attract the wrong person's attention. Things have been crazy lately. No real political connection with the bills and patriots though at least.
Most likely just be alert to all the additional police if doing anything you don't want to share with them. Ha. Have fun, stay warm.

It’s really weird there is a thread crapping on all the other QB’s when Allen has thrown the least touchdowns, yards, yards per attempt, yards yer game, completion percentage.
Somehow this is a defense of Allen?
I don’t get it.
Not a defense of JA but a nose thumbing at all the posters hating on JA and somehow enamored with the other three.

Oh you know that's not true. McD is there worst coach in NFL history. I've read it on the internet so it must be true.
Heh. You got jokes. Anyhow, the Ryan idiot boys need to be included in any serious discussion ot worst coaches all time. Cleveland's got nothing on them.

Sure is...I liked all 5 of these kids and I want to see them all do well.
Except for darnold, eh. ?

Darnold looks worse than JA from what i've watched today. Small sample size of jets games i've seen this year but we'll see a lot more soon.

Nice strawman. You’re debating arguments nobody has made in this thread.
Actually, it was - someone said that most fans were shifting to thinking the bills waited a year too long to pick their qb.

Mayfield looks like the real deal--plus he's handicapped by the worst HC in NFL history.
What was the OP's point again?
I think hope for the constant whiners about our guy after only five games to stop whining like so many melty snowflakes.

Snowflakes. In Buffalo? Toughen up. Watkins wouldn't likely be here still anyhow - by his choice.

I don't think Ivory or Zay are locks.
Zay is cheap next year though - may as well keep him and ditch the others. Never know. I'm not a fan yet but am rooting for the kid. Anyhow, for the money he's worth another year to hope for change. . .he need not be a #1 or #2 in the squad.
-
As for the offense it would be easier to look at who is sure to stay on in 2019.
Josh A
Zay Jones
Dawkins
Ivory
Are there any other starters on that team who should be considered safe?

I was going to start a separate thread but this may fit in this one (just about anything can fit into this one). It's the Animal House argument. "We're going to get waxed Monday night no matter what we do so we might as well have a good time doing it." Let's do something we haven't done in 17 years with Brady. Blitz every play. Play tight coverage. Hit him every play. Hit him after the whistle. Hit him at the knees. Hit him in the head. He'll kill you if you blitz but so what. He'll kill you if you don't. The penalties won't help but so what. We're not going to win the game no matter what. For chrissakes, he's 41, see if he can absorb some punishment.
Yes! Make this game look like a live re-enactment of The Longest Yard. Do it! Don't forget gronkowski either.

If our D gets too good the we'll look dumb for trading tyrod for a 3rd as he combined with an elite D would have record breaking turnover differential. Last year around week 5 we were almost +20 differential.
Ravens did it. . .

Riddle us this: who took more crap from coworkers this monday - kelly or the homeowner guy?
Homeowner got their backup QB arrested after beating him with a vacuum cleaner for sitting on his sofa.
Kelly left teammate's party sideways, shared a family room with some stranger and yer child until her husband beat him up with a vacuum cleaner attachment.
I think those two should go have a beer and share monday office horror stories.

Bills are not that bad.

I did not say not to try to win. We are losing not by choice here. The browns though just made it clear that they are more interested in the draft slot. The bills have not purposely tanked.
