  1. Great playcall and design on 4th down by KC!
  2. The Bills need a Dlineman that shows up in the playoffs! During the postseason our DL goes AWOL!
  3. Stunned how often teams let Kelce run free against a LB.
  4. I really hope Brady incorporates some of the concepts SF and KC run on offense.
  5. Stark difference between the Niners DL and ours!
  6. Interesting topic that I have been pondering as well. So much depends on how the board falls and if the Bills stay in their current draft order. Let’s assume the run on WR occurs and you don’t have a rd1 on any other WR. Also DE is off the board as well. Obviously I want a playmaking difference maker at WR first and foremost. How would you feel if they went with drafting a C at 28? Jackson Powers-Johnson, C from Oregon has a late 1st rd grade. 330lbs 6’3” Would be an immediate starter for the next 10 years. Unanimous All-American and Rimington Award winner Team captain and two-way player for a three-time state championship winner at Corner Canyon High School in Utah, where he also lettered three times in baseball and WRESTLING.
  7. Those were some dark days. You just knew if the opposing team score 10 points the game was over. After every loss, gotta look at the film became his response. The Bills kept choosing door #2 with the prize being a donkey instead of door #1 being the pot of gold. So many WTF decision making moments with hiring, drafting and coaching. Even the old royal deep blue jerseys were bad.
  8. Please not another off season of this non sense! Diggs will be just fine especially if we address upgrading the WR room. Unless some team is willing to give up a premium high draft pick and take on his salary, Diggs will be our #1 WR in 2024.
  9. Add to that draft Hutchinson, DE and Jameson Williams at WR in 2022 and they’ve crushed their last two drafts! That’s SIX long term impactful starters on rookie contracts.
  10. I wouldn’t necessarily be upset with this pick but it would greatly depend on what WR’s are still on the board.
  11. WR, DE, S or C would seem to be the positions in play.
  12. Beane needs to hit on WR and S in this draft who start and make an impact. That is the minimum bar! It would be amazing if he hit on a DE sleeper as well but not holding my breath. With our current roster, WR and S would seem to be the only spots available to a rookie. WR x 2, S, DE, DT, power RB, C would be positions that should be in play.
  13. Not surprised by the promotion but I certainly want to see MORE from Brady with a full offseason to put his vision into place. While the Bills offense has been explosive it also has too many stretches of dormancy. This offseason I’d love to see Josh mentor with Payton Manning to deepen his understanding of situational football, studying and breaking down film. For Brady, the offense continues to put too much emphasis on Josh making a play. Far too often Josh has to make a perfect throw. More use of motion, better play design scheming players open and the ability to implement an effective screen game. He also must figure out how to use Diggs better. I want to see more situation football from Brady and Josh. Josh needs to significantly reduce the interceptions this upcoming year. Lastly more creativity. For example, the 4th down conversion putting Shakir in motion only to have him reverse direction for an easy conversion. Loved it and wish they would have went back to it again in the game.
  14. As soon as the Bills lost, I’m done watching. My focus now shifts to FA and the draft. After this season, my heart and stress levels need to recover in order to get back on the horse for the 2024 season!
  15. WR, DE and S are positions we need to hit on in the draft that are difference makers and impactful. Not just solid players but immediately put pressure on the other side of the ball that they have to account for. Someone that can dominate a game especially at WR and DE. We have a solid roster but we need more wrecking balls! Critical draft for Beane to get right. Missing on Ford, Moss, Boogie and Elam has hurt along with AJE and Groot being just okay.
  16. At the end of the day McDermott has his flaws and he needs to improve. For whatever reason, he struggles to make the right decision in crucial moments or fails to understand the situation. For example after the two minute warning as the HC, his OC and QB should know what they are looking to achieve. It was a very similar situation in the 13 second game. You are the HC, take control and I fully expect you’ve prepared and thought thru the various situations. The bigger issue for me is impactful talent. Outside of Josh, we severely lack thru playmakers on O and D. Von, Oliver, Diggs and the entire secondary are solid but not game impacting players at this point. We have a solid roster but in crucial moments the ONLY one that has stepped up is Josh. To get to the SB, you have to have more. We don’t have a shutdown corner, a disruptive DE or impactful playmakers on O. We need WEAPONS on offense. Cook, Shakir, Kincaid, Knox and now Diggs are solid but not game changing that can takeover a game or the D cant mitigate. Look around the league and it’s embarrassing what Beane and McD have given Josh on offense. To make it worse we’ve whiffed on some premium picks that have set us back. (Ford, Boogie, Elam, Moss) While Groot and AJE have been okay but just not that consistent gamewrecker. This is a HUGE draft for Beane. We TRULY need a playmaker at WR, a disruptive DE and a ballhawk at S. This also feeds into the national criticism of Josh. He gets so much scrutiny when he’s not perfect but we don’t have anyone else on the team that consistently rises to the occasion and that includes the coaching staff. Take Josh out of our offense for a couple games and we’d be in a world of hurt. That HAS TO CHANGE this offseason!
  17. Keep adding more playmakers for Josh. The more weapons, the harder it is to shut down the offense. A stud WR opposite of Diggs opens up all facets of the passing game as the secondary will have to account for both of them. That then opens up Kincaid, Knox and Cook against LBers. Shut that down and Josh can take off running. Thats tremendous pressure against the D! Instead of investing resources and $$$ in a D, double down on your strength which is Josh. Add a Safety and take another swing at a DE, but a healthy D should be solid enough. If Josh had similar playmakers as Cinncy, MIA, Detroit, Tampa, Rams and even for the most part who Mahomes has had in KC, I’m confident they would have gotten over the hump by now. WE NEED AN IMPACTFUL WR added to this WR group.
  18. Not sure if he’s tweaked his fundamentals or what is occurring. I’ve found it odd that he lines up on the right hash mark when he typically pushes the ball. Even more confusing with a left to right crosswind. I also couldn’t tell if the hold by Martin was good. Similar to golf if you continue to hit a fade you typically line up to the left of the tee box to account for your fade. At the end of the day, I’ll be surprised if we don’t move on from the ST coordinator. Outside of Harty’s return, special teams has been abysmal.
  19. One thing to watch is Beane better not go to sleep as the draft pick gets close. KC will be looking for the same type of player so if your WR is there, go get him. Don’t get blindsided like they did with McDuffie. WR has to be the pick barring something unexpected.
  20. Agree, when we step back from the ledge this team is right there. They are in need of a few upgrades but the core is strong. They beat almost every playoff team during the regular season and lost to KC because they failed to make critical plays in critical moments. A playmaker at WR and a DE that is a high motor disruptor would be a huge upgrade.
  21. The #1 resign is D Jones. Otherwise the vast majority of upgrades need to occur thru the draft (WR, DE, S and power RB). Critical draft for Beane and ideally he needs to hit on 3 starters.
  22. IMO it doesn’t need torn down but it certainly needs an infusion of talent in certain areas. QB: Set with Josh OL is the best it’s been in years and should be a strength next year. TE: Solid Kincaid and Knox RB: Good with Cook and Johnson but need to add a young power back. Cook should be on the jug machine all off season. WR: MUST UPGRADE with more speed and a playmaker. Need to hit in a deep WR draft. Two picks should go to WR. Beane has to get it right! Defensively, this is where change is needed. CB: Build around Douglas and Benford with Dane and Elam backing up. Taron Johnson in the slot. Solid group LB: Milano and Benford with good depth with Williams and Dodson. Good core group S: Hyde, Hamlin are likely gone. I’d resign Rapp if it works but I’m drafting for a S in the draft. Need to add speed and a ballhawk. DE: Not much you can do with Von. Gotta pray he’s not a liability in 2024. Bills need to hit in the draft with a pick that becomes an immediate and consistent disruptor. It’s a glaring gap. Floyd, AJE and Shaq are likely gone. They’ve swung and whiffed too many times. DT: Oliver and hopefully resign Jones. Settle, Ford, Phillips and Joseph probably gone for younger talent. The bigger questions is what happens at the coordinator positions. Our offense while good is too inconsistent and at times everything seems harder than it should. I’d like a proven DC brought it.
  23. McDermott is now 5-6 in the playoffs. All five of the wins have been at home. He’s yet to win on the road going 0-4. His victories have come against the following QB led teams: *Indy 27-24 led by Phillip Rivers *NE 47-17 led by Mac Jones (btw has beaten the Bills twice) *Baltimore 17-3 led by Lamar Jackson who left the game injured *MIA 34-31 led Skylar Thompson *Pittsburgh 31-17 led by Mason Rudolph His losses have been to: *KC led by Mahomes >38-24 >42-36 >27-24 *Cinncy 27-10 led by Burrows *Houston 22-19 led by Watson *Jags 10-3 led by Bortles His playoff track record is beating lower tier QB led teams and has won those games without being upset. Against good QB led teams in the playoffs his track record is atrocious. IMO, the team under his leadership has squandered and or choked in four of those games. He’s yet to win a game against top tier contenders. I give McDermott all the credit to building the franchise to what it is today. There is certainly a lot of good in what he does but I continue to come back to the little things that keep holding him back. Lastly, I don’t see much growth from him. Every year there is a common theme. Sure the Bills have won, but how many games have they lost where they had no business losing? At the end of the day coaching matters, preparation matters, scheme and playcalling matters, adjusting during the game matters and time and time again McD and his staff fail in big moments. I really question if he can get them where they’re trying to get to especially when it matters the most!
  24. Bills really need an infusion of impactful talent thru the draft for obvious reasons. (Cap hit, age and talent) Look at Detroit and the impactful young players they have at the skill positions. If you’re spending $$$$ in FA it better dang well go to a stud WR! All of money spent on the D hasn’t gotten you over the hump when it matters.
  25. WRS, DE and S are the top draft priorities in that order. Draft a power RB in the later rounds. Center could be a major need if Morse is done.
