Prior to yesterday's beat down, Allen was 18 of 23 on play-action passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns.

    Yesterday in play-action, Josh was 9/11 for 206 yards and 3 TD's.

Need Dorsey to keep that going.

Some folks will say that the run game helps, which is understandable, but most of the data suggests that PA effectiveness is not predicated on run game success. So regardless, this is when Josh is at his most lethal.

Can you imagine Josh with Kyle Shannahan

    Yeah we know.

But having seen your utter despair unfold on TSW when they drafted him I know why you still feel the need to re-inforce it.

    It's OK.........you weren't alone........SB trophy emoji's will suffice. ;)

    what’s your draft history?

    calling 100% I’m assuming?

Ive said multiple times on here how I’m on cloud 9 that I was wrong.

I feel there are many here that have been screaming the same thing for the last couple years.  By not doing this you are also taking away a very underrated element of Josh's game.  He is a magician with the fakes.  there are many times I could have swore he handed the ball off to only see a 20 yard strike to someone down field.

Imagine Josh playing under Shannahan or McDaniel.

It wasn't a fluke.  It wasn't luck.  This guy just gets it.  For a 2nd year guy that didn't play much at all coming into this season, what he is doing on the field is incredible right now.  He isn't the most physically imposing player, but he's super smart, plays with great situational awareness and instincts, and communicates so well on the field.  This breakdown done by Cover 1 really shows off what he does extremely well and matches what I saw on the All-22 I've watched so far.  What's encouraging, is everything he put on film here is something that he will be able to repeat game after game because he just gets it.  I don't want to compare him to Edmunds.  It's not fair to either player because they offer different traits.  But, that said, Bernard is so much more instinctive and doesn't hesitate in fear of making a mistake.  I thought too many times Edmunds would get himself in position to make a play, but didn't trust himself enough, and that half second of indecision would have him slow to react and the opportunity to make a big play would pass him by.  But, it's totally different with Bernard to this point.  He trusts himself and what he is seeing, fires his gun, and that is leading to making the splash plays we've been waiting for out of this position.  Now, will he be right every time?  Of course not.  There will be times he makes the wrong read and it will take him out of the play.  But you can live with it because it seems, more often than not, he's going to be right.

While the film breakdown in this video is primarily about Bernard, I want you to take a look at the rest of the defense and how they played together as a unit.  Yes, Howell held onto the ball too long yesterday and took more sacks than he should have.  But there was a reason for it.  The back end was totally in sync and played with great communication and gave the guys up front that extra second to affect the QB.  It really is fun to watch.  There's another thread on here asking how to stop the Dolphins offense.  And sure, there will have to be some adjustments and a different game plan to combat their speed.  But, Washington did try to utilize a lot of crossers and some similar concepts that the Dolphins use and our defense was smart and sound against them.  Can we use the same game plan we did against Washington against Miami?  Of course not.  But there were concepts in this game on defense that you will absolutely see next week at times vs the Dolphins.  Anyway, enjoy this breakdown.  It's a real fun watch.

Been said, but super impressed at 18:44 in this video.

This guy is getting better every week.

I loved him coming out, just glad he’s now showing it.

    Him and Milano are beasts.

So after the Jets game & even before that there were those here that wanted to fire McD, Dorsey, & start all over they said that the Bills would never win anything with McD & that Dorsey wasn't the answer also that Josh wasn't the QB he use to be !

They had absolutely no faith in the possibility of the second year OC fitting the new personal into the scheme & being successful or would they even seem to want to give him a chance .

But then yesterday what happened 38 to 10 VICTORY ! The D held last years NFL rushing leader to -2 yds for the ENTIRE GAME & the Raiders only had the 3 possessions in the second half . But those that SUCK so bad led the team to a 38 to 10 VICTORY !!

Despite being a New season with New players, some new coaches it's the same old S**T no one sees any silver lining any where or the possibility of them being better just complain & fire every body because they suck  . I wonder how high they were jumping in the air while watching the boys score the way they did while watching the game ?

I don't get it ! How about this ? How about lets see how it plays out . I bet if they were to go all the way & all the haters jumped on board during the run to a championship but alas they would still find something to B**CH about .

I listened to Josh on his post game interview & if you go listen to it on the Bills app he said "I love feeling like I did last week, because it motivates me to be better & I learn from the experience" his out look on losing is so much more mature than many here .

I just hope the haters here learned something from the game & how the Bills as a hole bounced back and played better than the game against the Jets & the Jets didn't look nearly as good as they did against the Bills . Even with that said there were only a few plays in the Jets game that if played just a bit better the game would have been a W instead of a L .

And i would be willing to bet with what the Bills learned from the mistakes they made in the FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR that the out come of the next game against the Jets will be a bit different . And the team will be better for it in the long run .

    GO BILLS !!

Just waiting for OP to say he’s messing with all of us.

I refuse to believe he’s serious after a win against a team we were heavily favored to beat in week 2.

Fans, players and his own coaches bashing him is not a good look. You are going to drive him out of town. He is the best QB we ever had imo, definitely since Jim Kelly. I blame the coaches, we need an offensive minded head coach. Imagine if Kyle Shannan had Josh Allen, we need a guy like that. That’s the only way we will finally get that Super Bowl, defense doesn’t win championships anymore. McDermott has to go!

    Spot on

  7. Source told me this last night who is good friends with Robert Saleh…

Saleh said quote, “Buffalos offense is so vanilla now. They are easy to game plan. Ken Dorsey is their major problem at the moment. No schemes, nothing fancy, very vanilla.”

This is a 100% fact. I don’t come on here to lie. Believe it or not but shook me when I heard this because ultimately Dorsey will get the ax end of year, not McDermott

Don't take for granted that we have Ed Oliver though. You can overlook these holes and compensate for them when you have a world beating top end talent like Oliver as a priority in your championship roster building strategy.

The most bizarre horrible signing in a long time right here.

I think after 13 seconds we should have kept Dabol and moved on from McDermott JUST because of Allen.  Hire Jim Schwartz and let him install a blitzing killer Defense and I think we would be better off.

I love Sean, but I can't thank him enough for what he has done, and he 100% was the right guy to right this Titanic franchise version. BUT, if you keep Allen as your QB you gotta have a very strong personality that keeps his butt on target. McDermott and Definitely Dorsey isn't that.

Only been saying this for 3 years but carry on please.

Ship has sailed. 13 seconds…won’t recover from it.

You watched Josh be one of the 2 best QBs in the league for 3 and a half years - it took the 2nd half of last season by then you could say this was Dorsey’s offense.

And Josh is a turnover machine.

We can’t beat great defenses - the way Frazier couldn’t beat great offenses in January.  But we did for 3 years.

    41 passes tonight is unacceptable.

4 turnovers by Josh - to my knowledge not since 2019.

Josh is to blame for some decisions - 2 INTs deep in Jets territory ok but the 3rd pick is all on Dorsey because things were snowballing and a run should have been called.  You still had the lead.

We let Daboll walk after 13 seconds.

We’ll never recover from that game.
