    Preseason football is so weird.

It's sorta like... if you hadn't gotten laid in 6 months, and then the opportunity FINALLY came, but it was a mid-Kansas truck stop diner waitress named Marge with a square ass, smoker's voice, and a mop for a leg.

Like...it's nice to be getting some action, but THIS?!

The Mid-Kansas Square-Assed Marges sounds like a really terrible George Straight cover band...

The more I think about it, It would be nice if maybe we could corner the market in the 6th round! If you got a guy you want in the 6th, you’ve got to come thru Buffalo!

We tried something like that with guys named “Williams” and that was kinda fun.    😋

IIRC, The Ravens wheeled and dealt their way into four or five 6th rounders, last year. Do we want to shoot to be 2024's Ravens, LOL?

Went there today place was packed 🙃 not one parking spot left.

    So we left.

Bad thing is that spot where there are is a very seasonal spot that is why basil's across the street Murphys law and McGregor s all closed down.

In the summer it is hopping the 9 other months crickets plus house goes there.

Well, the idea being that football starts in late August, and we're actually good, so packed days could extend into February. Makes sense, if you think about it that way.

  4. Mods, I didn't see a thread on the Rochester Bar Bill Tavern (a.k.a. Bar Bill East), but feel free to merge, if there is one.

Bills Fam: Rochester just opened up their first Bar Bill Tavern, on Empire Blvd, overlooking Irondequoit Bay. It's in the old MacGregor's, for those familiar with the area.

I got to stop in, yesterday, and somehow elbowed into the slam-packed bar for a Beef on Weck and some wings. Service was slow, but I figured it would be on day 1, but the food was incredible, as always.

Compared to the East Aurora location, the benefits I see are:

    1. MUCH large location.
    2. NOT cash-only.
    3. Bills bar.

    4. Beef on Weck is on-point.

Any thoughts from local ROC folks?

Either Boogie or Shaq isn't making the team. At least Epenesa had a pulse with 6.5 sacks last year.

I'm feeling like Beane is going to try to swap Boogie for a 5th or something along those lines. Next year's draft--by all accounts--is likely to be better than this past year's, and we have an extra 3rd and two extra 6's, beyond our original picks... Beane's stackin' picks like flapjacks, over here 😎

I’m certainly not against signing Ed long term like this, but I think letting him play out his contract year and then having the franchise tag in your pocket if he popped was the best move. The justification for doing this now would be if we were making more cap room to add a DHop or other piece whatever that may be. But I think they just value him more than most on the board do.

Over The Cap has the projected 2024 franchise tag for DT's set just shy of $20.9 million... This is under that.

And by "this", we're talking about the agent-friendly numbers.

I would take an agent-friendly $17 mil over an actual $20.9 mil, any day.

Cody Ford instead of AJ Brown or fan favorite at the time, DK Metcalf. I question whether we would have traded for Diggs if we had drafted one of the two, however. Maybe we'd have Metcalf and Justin Jefferson. Maybe we wouldn't have Allen. Who knows.

All I know for sure is the Cody Ford was not a good football player when he was here.

Cody Ford instead of my gosh-darned laundry hamper... Worst pick, ever!

At least we got a pick back from AZ for him. That's literally the most important thing Ford ever did for us.

  8. Different strokes for different folks.

Also, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was a distance runner for a college program (DIII) that took 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 1st in the nation, the four years I ran for them (and, yes: I raced in each National meet... Not a benchwarmer or flag-waiver).

Anyhow, my coach once handed down a bit of colloquial wisdom, that applies to JA17. He told me:

"There are two types of women: The ones that make you run faster, and the ones who don't... Make sure you're with the right type!"

Let's just hope Steinfeld is the "right" type.
