I hate kicking in every general way to begin with......punting, FG's, kick-offs, whatever.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they removed every aspect of kicking from the game altogether, but i guess they have to include some sort of "foot" in football.

WHAT Bills fan didn’t?in the most critical of moments, he failed… TOTALLY… at imparting the ONLY piece of required info! It was a space-time situation and he either didn’t have a clue that the only thing was to burn 4 seconds or he obviously failed to ensure that was accomplished!
And then Kelce the failure!
ALL on him… never to be forgotten or forgiven.
To go on this year, to defend that impossibly foolish Hamlin fake Punt… just confirms his total inability to admit his own critical failures. If he thinks he can b.s. Bills fans after all these decades that many of us have witnessed, that’s just embarrassing… for him.
Oh, there are some in the "we love McD" camp no matter what he does.
Shameful........just shameful.

This the ultimate, fundamental point. There are two different worlds: the world the team (coaches, players, owners) operate in and the world the rest of us operate in. McDermott's duty to take responsibility for what he did or didn't do lies COMPLETELY in the world he and his team live in - his team has a right to see him take responsibility for his mistakes. He has absolutely NO duty to the rest of us in that regard.
It's the same thing when the media ask players about next month's big matchup against the Chiefs, and the players say they're focused only on next week's game against the Panthers. We all cry "BS!!!" but in fact it's the truth. In the players world, if they're thinking about next month, they aren't thinking about next week, and in their world all that matters is next week.
The problem does not lie in what McDermott says or doesn't say. It lies in what we expect from him.
Shaw, we don't always see eye to eye and this statement is no different.
I understand where you're coming from here, however, to say that he has no responsibility to the fans is irresponsible. It's the fans that pay for tickets and merchandise. It's the fans who sit in the cold seats supporting their team. The fans are the franchise.....no fans, no team.
I think it's human nature for the fans who bleed and die for the team to not only want answers, but to expect them.
I don't have a lot of fans in my workplace, nor do i have alot of fans on this board, however, if i did, i would almost feel an obligation to give answers to the people who support me if i was consistently not getting over the hump.

I for one am glad that for the most part no one that has any kind of true NFL experience at coaching listens to the "Arm Chair HC's" in the Mafia or other fan bases .
Yah this guy that is a plummer, mechanic, salesmen, heavy equipment operator, knows more of how the Bills should be coached than a person that has not only played the game but has been coaching at some level for most of his adult life & learned from the likes of Andy Reid, Jim Johnson, yah i'm listening to the plummer for sure 🙄.
Yeah, you never listen to the plumber.....he's full of sh*t.

I lived every minute of the pain.
In fact i lost so much money betting on my Bills to win a SB, that it's a good thing Wegmans has brought out more JA grocery bags for me to pack in whatever i still own into them.

That's perfect!!!
I can pack whatever the rest of my belongings i own into them after i've lost every cent betting on this team to actually win a SB.

I have no problem with playing aggressive. In fact, i would rather lose a game from being too aggressive, than too passive or soft.....however, when you try a fake punt and not get the ball into your playmakers hands, but rather a D guy who played 2 snaps all season, that is just dumb.
Dumb, i say.
sorry......not sorry.

KC does their homework.
They allow teams to basically march up and down the field in the first half, essentially blowing their load on their playbook and then analyze and adjust in the 2nd half. This is where good, sound coaching comes into effect.
Chances are, whatever worked in the first half probably won't be as effective in the 2nd half, however, coaching needs to be able to have some foresight as to how to exploit weaknesses.
It's like on every play, we're just throwing plays out there to see what works and when we find something, we try to force feed it 12 times and hope to get lucky.
We need sound creative ideas and to stop blowing our load in the 1st half.......you know, save a little for the endurance.

I think extremism is the issue in this thread.
* No, injuries were not the only thing wrong with the Bills. It's wrong to say that the team was perfectly fine and would have easily gone undefeated w/o injuries.
* It is, however, equally ignorant to say that those injuries were a "non-factor" that all teams had to deal with. Buffalo had a lot of key injuries, and came into that KC game decimated in comparison.
Let's put this into perspective, shall we?
Yes, we had alot of injuries on D.
Yes, we could not beat KC this past playoffs. Our D couldn't stop Mahomo allllllllll day. KC moved the ball at will up and down the field, while we made zero adjustments to compensate.....however, it was actually not our D that lost the game, if you can believe that.
If our O could have milked the clock in the final 5 minutes of the 4th, like most teams would have done, we could have come away with the win....i'm confident of that. It was actually our O on the field, not our injury plagued D in the final 5 minutes that just couldn't get it done.
Sure, injuries on our D can create the issue of us losing the game, however, when it was our O on the field at the end of the game who couldn't get it done, then.......what else ya got?
I'm not buying what youre selling.

Just imagine if JA was wearing a different uniform and we had to play him every year?.....now, imagine he was in our division and we had to play him twice a year?
JA gets a lot of criticism from the media, however, it is also his sporadic, unorthodox playing style that people from all over the nation fell in love with. People tuning in every Sunday just to see what JA is going to do next. What feat can superman pull off next?
We can all agree that we have something special in this kid and we are lucky that our FO saw the potential and drafted him.....the juice was definitely worth the squeeze.
Yeah, i get pissed that we aren't winning a SB (maybe not even any time soon) but, watching JA play every week is pretty good compensation.

Ok let’s go with that. He could’ve given himself a better throw to connect. The only pressure was from Chris Jones. Let’s say he stepped up and connected. TD with almost 2 minutes left and 2 TO for KC. Do you think we’re winning that game seeing KC’s run through the playoffs? That’s what I’m saying about making decisions that give your team the best chance of winning. Take the short. Pick up the first. KC would be forced to use their timeouts. Then use your heroics for the TD with little time left. You’re guaranteed a tie at worst. That’s the game awareness that great QBs need to be concerned with. You know, i agree 100% with this, however, in that moment, it's on coaching to tell JA to settle down, relax and take the short field one step at a time. We all know JA wants to go for the throat every minute of the game, however, he has to learn to pick his battles one set of downs at a time and that's on coaching to reel him in.

yeah, not a great decision there for sure
That's the weird thing about McDermott that I think he needs to work on. His decisions to take a risk sometimes come out of nowhere and seem so counter to what he is all about. Like he's forcing it a little bit.
I agree earlier when you said that McD is at least trying to be less conservative with the playcalling and play scheming, but i think some of his calls are without a doubt, questionable.
I mean, i have no problem with being aggressive. In fact, i would rather lose a game from being too aggressive than too passive or having idiotic playcalling TBH. A fake punt within your own 30 yard line and you don't put it in your playmakers hands but give it to a guy who played in 2 snaps all season?......like come on, man. McD, what the hell were you thinking?!?
I am trying to give McD the benefit of the doubt these days, but he's making it real hard.

Reid is the uncrowned GOAT.
Nuggies and BBQ are the only things that could stop him from holding every single HC wins/titles record by the time he retires.
He's currently 5 playoff wins away from tying Belichick for most playoff wins all-time as a HC. That's 2 playoff runs.
That said, McDermott has definitely shown the desire and ability to adapt and become WAY less conservative. The guy called a fake punt inside his own 30 yard line in a divisional playoff game.
NOW we need McDermott to get behind loading up the offense with weapons.
A fake punt within his own 30 yard line, not with JA, not with Cook, not even Diggs.......with Hamlin.
And.....nothing more needs to be said here.

I agree with this....i'm 55 and been following the Bills for nearly 50 years. I rant and rave and B word and moan about this team all the time, however, on the flip side, when was the last time this franchise had any sort of stability at HC or in the FO? We might not be where we want to be yet, but we certainly don't want to be where we've been, that's for sure.
My only regret is that my dad couldn't witness a Bills SB win before he passed....his 3 greatest passions were the Steelers, Packers and Bills (not in any particular order, mind you).
Now, i'd like to see the Bills win a SB before the day i ever pass.
For a lot of us fans, this team is a generational type thing....it's in our blood, our DNA. It's who we are as a fanbase and yes, we always think the grass is greener on the other side, however, when not seeing the team through rose colored glasses, sometimes that grass in your neighbors yard is worse.
