So I guess I’m not as cool as everyone else in here and I actually don’t mind watching ESPN. I saw the segment. Personally I think the OP is twisting things a bit here to fit the disrespected narrative…. He leaves out the fact that the other 2 debaters on the show looked at him like he was absolutely crazy.

I’ll admit I’ve been guilty up to this year of being an overly sensitive bills fan but I havnt seen much of anyone saying Allen isn’t at the very least a top 5 qb. Heck, even  Nick Wright said he may be the 2nd best qb in the league after his playoff run…. And literally nobody has doubled down on Allen slander as much as wright.

All this being said, for some odd reason Keyshawn has consistently gone out of his way to put Allen down. In 2020 he called him just the “flavor of the month” going into the playoffs and then by mid season this last year he doubled down on that saying he still hadn’t seen enough. He’s an imbecile

So In the post above I mentioned heading into 2020’s playoffs keyshawn called him the flavor of the month. And then reference a clip from last season where he doubled down on that in 2021. Here’s that clip. This is after Allen quite literally put the team on his back over the last month of the season culminating in the wildcard beat down. Yikes…

  2. AMEN! Although I’d rather take bone in. You do you!  I personally think one of the top 3 worst people on the planet is a judgey food snob that thinks they get to tell me the food and condiments I should like.

im just a hop and skip south of orchard park in Erie Pa and it’s all about the ranch scene down here. Decisions amongst groups on what bar to eat at are made based on their ranch recipe.

I feel like most of the anti-ranchers having only really ever had store bought. Which isn’t even close to a good bar-made ranch.

Opinions can be based on anything, they are opinions, it's subjective they will be all over the place.   Some people will always point to super bowls to shut down anyone who does not have one.  People will cut it any way they can to make their point.  Only look at first two years, bam Herbert looks better than Allen.

If you look at Watson, they both have 4 years of stats and from pure passing numbers you can definitely make an argument for Watson.  If you look at win/loss then Allen looks better.  Allen has great postseason stats with the one caveat of the game in Houston when Watson brought them back from 16 points to win against Allen.

Dont take any of this as my opinion....I dont really care about who ranks QB's where, I want the Bills to win Super Bowls.

Sure. And opinions can also be really stupid and ill-informed.... generally if opinions are "all over the place", somebody in the discussion shouldnt be commenting on it.

We're all entitled to opinions. We're also all entitled to point out how ignorant and inaccurate they are.

As a general rule there are far too many people critical of show hosts and announcers and commentators and such.  Adams is just fine.  So are people like Collinsworth.

I glad it’s not just me that feels this way. It’s like p***ing and moaning about whomever is behind the mic or in front of the camera is the default “in” thing to do now.

He just isn't funny. Pratting about like an overgrown teenager. I find it cringeworthy. Honestly people are welcome to their own opinions but personally I find him utterly unwatchable. I understand he was some sort of tv actor or something in the states previously? Maybe he should have stuck to that.

eh. i think he's doing just well where he's at. he's parlayed this gig into plenty of other appearances. he's doing just fine.... i suppose he's not for everyone though.

  7. Brandt is arguably my favorite morning sports personality. He often combines his high energy with witty takes and comments... A bunch of you may need to quit watching the TV and just continue to go yell at the neighborhood kids to get off your lawn.

.... And Kay was oddly anti-Bills this year. She would routinely go out of her way to slight them anytime they came up. It got odd by the end of the year. She also called Mac Jones the best qb in the AFC at one point..... so ya.

that he was excited to win more isn’t terrible talking points. He had been under dysfunctional regimes. We would say the same trash about Rex and we were much less impacted

I’m fairly certain McCoy has since come out and said it was a absolute sh** show under Rex as well.

Not sure Crowder is an upgrade, but good enough to keep the offense humming

Beasley fell off a cliff last year. Crowder should at least add a little more speed than Beasley when he is on the field.

Was crowder not the one that took a crosser about 50 yards to the house against us last year? I definitely think he adds a bit of pop there, and everything i've read said he's an absolute technician in the slot.

As long as Brady is still strapping on the helmet he is a favorite to win the SB. Hell last year took his coach being an idiot and calling a 0 blitz.. (that somehow not everyone got the memo for) to lose to the eventual SB Champs.. otherwise a good chance we have a repeat champion.

Literally every betting book out now has the bills as the favorites. Every book has them as the co- favorites before the Miller signing…. Also I love how you lock Brady in for a title if not for an anomalous stupid event but don’t acknowledge the same for the bills. Which happened to be an even more freakish and rare occurrence

The Bills are THE favorite.  This isn’t an opinion.  Favorites are determined by Vegas lines and look who’s on top of the Vegas lines.

Not sure why Brady’s name is even being mentioned.  We beat them last year too. Unfortunately the refs didn’t think we were worthy.

    A-FEAKIN-Men, brother.

Gotta me nice being able to literally pull a man’s jersey down to his belly button right in from of the red at the GL and get cute little no-call.

After reading this the 2 names that immediately came to mind for me when i thought of mercenary pass rushers that did it forever were Doleman and Greene. Looked them up. Sure enough they're also perfect examples of instant pass rush for any team they went to late in their careers....

    Chris Doleman ages 33-38... 7, 9, 11, 12, 15, 8.... for 3 different squads

    Kevin Greene ages 33-37... 9, 14, 10, 15, 12... 4 different stints.

There might be other examples beyond that but those were the first 2 that immediately came to my mind.

I'm sorry, I have just jumped back into this thread, and I haven't seen exactly what you're discussing, but I'm guessing it's how good can Miller be late in his career.   Your post caught my eye, because I remember it exactly as you say.  In fact, in the Super Bowl years, I used to think that Bruce was overhyped - he'd make a spectacular play here and there, but I never thought of him as a game wrecker.   Maybe it was just because he was double teamed and I wasn't paying attention.

But then as he got older, he kept shedding weight and turned into something like a fighting robot designed by a mad scientist - all arms and legs and muscle and amazing quickness.  Those last few years he was unstoppable - in fact, Miller looked like him in some of the the videos: lining up out wide, so he could get off the line and take two steps before any contact, then just bursting one way or the other with the offensive tackle desperately trying to get hands and body weight on him before he blew by.

I'm one who saw Miller had signed and worried immediately that he was too old, but Bruce is the obvious example of how a guy who plays with that style can actually improve.  I wouldn't be surprised if Miller has become project #1 for the training staff.  How do we get him at optimum weight and strength.   And Smith is around OBD, and I'm sure they will sit down and share stories -  I mean these are two of the great pass rushers in the history of the game, and they'll talk about their craft at a level that most of us wouldn't even understand.

There's a lot of reason to believe that Miller can be a transformative player on the defense for 2-3 years, and maybe 4 or 5.

Go ahead and peep my above post. And those were just 2 off the very top of my head. There’s a handful of examples I’m sure.

    EDIT: here’s another. Ricky Jackson’s sack totals from 33-37 years of age…. 11.5, 13, 11.5, 3, 9.5

It was a collasal failure on the Bills coaching staff. Let's call it what it was. No need to sugar coat it. Facts are facts. The Bills have to move on and hopefully they learned from it. The scar will always be there for many of us. Just like the Tennesse miracle. It's in the NFL history books.

right but my original point to the pats fan was we didnt need Miller to get us over the hump. The roster was already there. I think thats pretty clear. Him saying he doesnt even think Miller gets us over the edge is silly, when it quite literally took a freak occurrence to end the season

Of course the Bills are SB Caliber.  I’m sorry the D never should give up that many yards in less than 13 seconds..  I mean I was ticked when the Pats D gave up a FG with 30 seconds left and 2 time outs to dallas.  It just shouldn’t happen..

you're missing the point. it was an anomalous event.... a freak, generational type happening is what kept them from moving on.

I was curious about the level of production of elite pass rushers at age 33 and beyond, so I went and looked at the stats of Bruce Smith and Reggie White.

    At ages 33-37, Bruce had 13.5, 14, 10, 7, and 10 sacks.

    At age 33-37, Reggie White had 8, 12, 8.5, 11, and 16 sacks.

You may say “but Logic, those are two Hall of Famers, of course they still produced!”. To which I would say that Von Miller will be a first ballot Hall of Famer, too, and that was why I looked at those two guys. I wanted to see how some elite, HOF edge rushers produced as they aged.

I’m not saying Miller is going to be as productive as those guys, but it is not out of the realm of possibility, either.
