Writers really need to stop using the hackneyed  "coup".     In reality that term actually represents something that looks good initially and usually turn out very badly for the "fanbase".

And reality is that 3rd round picks usually turn out to be JAGS like Preston Brown or John Miller or Adolphus Washington....... and Bills followers should take into account that they had become blind to the things about TT's game that made him of value to the rest of the league.

Not turning the ball over and converting third downs by any means necessary are things we've come to take for granted as we've become farsighted gazing at the QB play of Tom Brady and ignoring most of the rest of the league.

sure Tyrod converted a few 3rds with his legs,   but most of the time he couldnt convert them,  pretty much why hes outta here.   you need a QB who can pass,  end of story.  he couldnt.   one dimensional offenses dont win Super Bowls.    they just make it easy on opposing defenses.

Tyrod is so valuable that we got a 3rd rounder.....which is actually a good get.

The Browns will have a real offense for the first time in forever. Tyrod, Barkley, Landry, and Gordon could be potent. You guys forget Tyrod led a top 10 scoring offense in 2016. The talent he has in Cleveland now might be better than he ever had here. My bigger question for Cleveland is their defense. I think their offense will be above average at least.

i seem to remember alot of field goals that year  :D

  3. watching OSU shut down Barkley this past season makes me wonder just how special he really is.     Tbh,  i saw a bunch of his games and never once thought,   top 5 prospect.

much easier to find a good RB later rounds than other more important positions.

  4. appears Haley cant get along with anybody so i kinda feel bad for Tyrod already.    It wont take long for the AFC North defenses to feast on Tyrods inability in the passing game.    I went over to the Browns forums to read their reactions,  half hate the trade,  half saying bridge QB,  a bunch thinking Tyrod is a major upgrade because he doesnt turn the ball over.

turnover ratio is nice,  but they'll eventually learn that he wont lose u the game,  but he wont be winning it for them either.

their plan is,   run run run,  Tyrod manage the game.   Sounds familiar.  for a team that hasnt smelled a win in a long time,  mbe the Browns fans will love those 6-8 wins and forget the negatives of their new QB.

Also,  "Tyrod would have been better if he wasnt on a team with no talent. "   unnamed Browns fan.

Knowing what we knew after 2016, if Jared Goff (with the year under his belt) could enter the 2017 draft, where would he be drafted?

#1 of course,   how a year makes a difference huh?   Must be the player and not the coaching staff.  0:)

i smh at the people who love Dashaun Watson all of a sudden,   guy did it for 4 games.   4,   we have no idea if its sustainable or not.   Was a very good college player,  but 4 games means everybody wiffed on him  and hes going into the HoF eventually?.  He very well could be the best QB of that draft,   and a future Hofer,  but nobody really knows.   Not at this point anyways.

Forget Brady.  Did Brady come in and stink up the joint by throwing up all over himself when he 1st played in the NFL?  No. It's a weak crutch to deflect in an attempt to make a case for Peterman.  No sale.

i gotcha ya,   one bad game and its over.   thats fine,  my weak crutch of logic couldnt persuade you.    btw,  wasnt trying to.    was simply showing how a persons view can be skewed by what he or she wants to see.    1 game,  its over.      moving on now  :)

Sample size includes his Collegiate Career. He's the same guy.

just for the sake of argument,  was anything in Brady's collegiate career a sure fire sign of his future greatness?  I know,  Brady again.......but its relevant to the point youre trying to make.

There can be extreme exceptions like Brady, but let's not act as if Peterman is some unknown who just appeared on the scene.  He has the same physical and mental flaws he showed in College that say he's a marginal NFL prospect.  No one can tell you not to hold out hope for him based on a lim chance, but the Bills are rightfully looking for better than he offers in the draft and/or free agency.

all this is true,  and im not holding out hope for Peterman,  was simply trying to point out that common sense screams,   NOBODY HERE KNOWS  if he is, or isnt a viable QB in the future :)

  9. 50% of 1st round drafted QBs flame out for various reasons,    the more this QB draft class shows the more it appears there is no absolutely guaranteed cant miss prospect this year.    We were all led to believe that this would be the best QB draft in a decade,   im meh on every single one of them.

A prudent person would look for a known commodity,  somebody that fits the offense we will run,  somebody that appears to be an instant upgrade from our last QB,  especially in the passing game.

that guy is Nick Foles.    ignore the SB MVP chatter,    the guy has shown he can do the most important thing a QB needs to do,  throw the ball.

would rather spend picks on a known commodity than gamble them away.

  10. imo a 3rd for Tyrod is a steal for us.    People point out his stats, but as a fan who watched him for 3 years,  i saw what his stats amounted too.    Media/fans say  we as fans dont know what we had,   we saw enough.    Wish him the best,  time to move on.

Tanner Lee hasn't played a down in the NFL, but I will go out on a limb to say he'll never be a good NFL QB based on his College career.

thats fine,   u can try and prognosticate on a player,  but truth is,  you dont know.    so many factors that play into why one person becomes successful and another doesnt.

lets look at Brady,   barely drafted,  not exceptionally gifted athlete,  mediocre college QB.     If Bledsoe doesnt get hurt,  maybe Brady never gets his shot in NE,  and history is changed significantly.     Many, many factors go into success,  a lot of times dumb luck leads to success,  very little in this world  is black and white.

People write off others on a daily basis,  usually with little or no actual information behind their reasoning.   Just because, they have a gut feeling,  or the person doesnt fit their agenda,  or etc, etc, etc.

Facts,  they mean something,  even if we're being led to believe they dont anymore.

  12. find it really funny people already know how good Peterman is or isnt.    Guy played one all time terrible game, and maybe combined for 1 decent game.  2 games.....

again,  2 games.    Any semi intelligent person would realize that you dont have enough information to make an informed decision as to whether Peterman can play or not.

bunch of HoF QBs that have had terrible days throwing 4 picks or more.   Smarten up.

btw,  im not a Peterman fan,  just a fan of people learning to use common sense on a more regular basis.
