  1. 1) play with a lead

    2) spy Mahomes a lot

    3) don’t blitz every pass play and play cover 1 or 0 like the Miami stooges do

    4) beat them in special teams— it seems like they always find 1 or 2 big plays out of their special teams in the playoffs

can you help explain to me how you know this or what the general rule is. I never knew division winners had home field priority in the next season

Future home and away teams are predefined. You play one NFC division and one AFC division and the other 2 AFC games are the other 2 divisions whose teams finished the same level you did in your division. Find it here:

I mean… not one game ever has been suspended because of weather due to an open stadium.

90% of those games suspended were because of September hurricanes. The Minnesota game was suspended FROM a dome.

The Bills game have been suspended because of public safety, not because the game would be played outside. A dome does zero to alleviate these suspensions. We understand this, right?

Another sample of division in our culture. Some people believe in just doing and saying whatever feels good to them and f everyone else, while others believe that the human safety of 80K and having emergency responders helping their community (instead of being huddled around a stadium) is actually right.

The Bills and NFL shouldn’t want a game that could be a joke that has no basis in talent or even football. REAL Bills fans should also want no part of a well deserved playoff game that throws away talent for a visual spectacle.

Gabe, Harty & Sherfield will 100% be gone. Two terrible pick ups and an uninspiring WR2 wannabe.  Next season might be Diggs last in Buffalo.  That leaves Shakir, Kincaid and whatever we have in Shorter?  I've said we desperately need to draft 2-3 wrs this April.  Starting with either Odunze or Coleman. I'm not a fan of spending big FA $ on Higgins or Evans. So we gotta find weapons in the draft. And stop wasting time, snaps and money on fails like Sherfield,  Harty & Hines.

Agree on the ‘24 release but how would they move on from Diggs in ‘25 when they don’t even have a quality #2 or solid outside backup?

Not disregarding your observation, but IMO that would require not just a top WR pick but also the signing of someone like Tee Higgins. The money for that would certainly come from a release of Morse and a trade of Knox.

  5. Possibility of a bunch of KC trips here in a row!!! (Finally)

They would be here in the playoffs, if we both win next week.

They will be here next year in the ‘24 season

They would be here in ‘25 if we finish the same standing as them

Plus possible playoff games here in ‘24 and ‘25

KC because I want them to come here for once.

I think Cleveland can beat Baltimore meaning we would host the AFCCG if we beat Pittsburgh then KC.

I have ZERO confidence the Fins can beat Baltimore and I don't see the Texans winning against Cleveland in the cold on the road.

FYI it’s quite likely that KC could swing to having to play a lot here for once. Maybe this years playoffs, plus already confirmed for next year and then the following year the AFC west equivalent team comes to Buffalo again. So we could be looking at 3+ games in a row against KC in BLo.

HC who learns from his mistakes. Unique

Not really, he still wasted TOs every game running the fake 4th down offside instigating plays. I would say its worked once in 40 tries.  He also had an awesome coffin corner punter and could have forced Miami into a 95 yard final drive…..

    Before Gabe was hurt

    Allen: 4/8 (50%), 67 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT

    AFTER Gabe left the game

    Allen: 26/30 (87%), 360 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

    Did you know?

Over the past two seasons, a little under 40% of Allen's interceptions occur when targeting Gabe Davis? Yet, Davis is not targeting very much...

15.2% of the targets, and 38% of the INT's.

And no, I am not saying that Gabe Davis is the sole reason of blame for our offensive failures. Not at all. But for whatever reason, he and Allen are NOT on the same page, and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

I have been saying it over and over… it’s not just being on different pages. Gabe runs “banana” out routes that are easily read by DBs. He has a very limited skill set yet was seeing the field mainly because Sherfield was likely viewed as crappy and not as effective blocking. He also seems to not be effective option routes or blitz reads outside of his basic red zone slants.  Today his awful read in a blitz to try a double move which had no time to happen was directly responsible for pick 1.

Need him & Dodson & Johnson & Gabe all back. Not sure Johnson & Dodson make it back w) those concussions. & it didn't look good for Gabe, being in street clothes w/ what I think they said was a knee.

Not Gabe. He can sit his lazy and poor read route running both down. We markedly improved on offense after he left the game.

  10. Allen puts up 425 yards himself in a game yet has a “bad game” in the eyes of many. I bet the Hall of Famer Jim Kelly only had 3-4 games of 400 yards himself and Allen does it 1 or 2 times per year.

in my mind Gabe Davis is a root cause of at least half his picks this year and I was actually glad he wasn’t in during the second half. He doesn’t read what Josh does and tries a double move on a blitz? How dumb. The only thing worse is how he hurts himself jogging across the end zone on a natural turf field.

  11. Give me the 2 spot and play Indy/Texans and let Miami go out and beat KC. Thats the best path we have is 2 easier home games with young or dome QBs with little playoff experience. Resting players so we can likely play 3 road games is a very bad idea.

FYI- the shoulder Josh hit wasn’t his throwing shoulder….

  12. My opinion is the Bills are playing fairly vanilla on purpose. Save your best calls for the big games that begin this week. Thats what Miami has not done. They run those same one read plays over and over. Watching them yesterday I could predict most of their calls by alignment.

By the way- 30 seconds to download the app, to subscribe another min to download on tv, then then using the wr code to link the subscription… it was more like 7 minutes, and 6 dollars. Middle finger to nfl.

Maybe the next time the bills suck for two decades I will stop watching

How long does it take to drive to a bar and back…I will guess not under 7 minutes.

Listen, I know it's only Dec 16 and we have 8 more games ahead but message boards are to generate discussion of all sorts of things. So, unless we want to determine the ratio of pickle just in Christmas cookies or the importance of 3.5 we can mess around with this:

    12/16

    Home (fixed):

    Jaguars

    Titans

    Cardinals

    49ers

    Jets

    Patriots*

    Dolphins

    Home (TBD):

    Broncos

    Away (fixed)

    Texans

    Colts

    Rams

    Seahawks

    Jets

    Patriots*

    Dolphins

    Away (TBD)

    Browns

    Vikings

    ----

I like getting a revenge game for the Broncos. The close proximity of the Browns game is nice and the listless fan base of the Rams and Vikings is nothing im concerned about. The Colts and Texans could be interesting next year.

I have never heard anyone call the Vikings fans listless. That’s a tough place to play.

  15. America seems to have  a heightened sense of conspiracy  which is lame. Sometimes reality is that the officials just suck just like some of our players may suck.for a game. Rarely do the officials decide a game. The 5 big plays a game that each team has is usually what causes a team to lose. It’s why the nom-impact of Miller is hurting us.

With everything going on in this country, I will vote for the candidate who will repeal the law that doesn’t allow NFL football on Saturdays when college football on. I am able to watch both. And I invite it. Anyone know how to start a lobby?

So what college games are on that conflict today? Some random Doritos Bowl involving the 25th ranked team?

  17. The Bills need to get a younger Diggs. They should be shooting for Tee Higgins versus resigning a lazy route runner like Gabe. Someone will overpay a Gabe and give him $13-14 per year, which is what sporttrac valued him at, so we might as well just dump him, trade Knox and then go after Higgins at $16-17 and also seek a draft pick WR since this draft is stocked at WR. We need dynamic players out wide. Even Marquis Brown would be an upgrade though Higgins runs much more of the route tree.  Sherfield has been an utter waste of money so he’s gone also.
