After seeing he was injured and waived I would bring him in if he clears the medical.
-
Seems like a decent add. Wonder why he was cut.
-
I expect this style of defense all year. A few wrinkles here and there vs Carolina maybe some a gap pressures.
-
I agree. Darues is on a short leash this year. QB, DT, LB, RB, TE and/or WR i would say will be target areas next years draft. LB, DT and RB are old need some new blood.
-
Looked great?
Not nearly as good as last year. They had a few nice runs but I wasn't all that impressed with the ground game. Too many stuffs/tackles for losses/1 yard gains. Maybe I'm spoiled from the last two years of great rushing attacks. That said, Tolbert actually looked decent.
Tyrod was Tyrod outside of one turnover that may or may not have been on him. I like Tyrods game. Always have.
Poyer was impressive. Tre White was as well.
Take it all with a huge grain of salt. It's the Jets. They are gunnin for #1 overall.
Yea. Still thinking 5 to 6 wins this year.
You are reaching. The jets defense still pretty well inplace stone walled buffalo's rushing attack the last 2 years. Two years ago shady went over 100 on thursday night but that was it.
-
It is the NFL, the bears and browns played tougher ATL and PIT then the Jets did against BUF. They left 2 scores on the field. In the 4th milked the clock and moved on. The jets have been planning for months to shut down our run game we ran for 179. Last year we got gashed by the run and lit up by the quick passing attack. The Bills handled both. Yes the Jets are not very good. But also buffalo handled them as such.
-
How about just draft a DT with one of our many picks? I'd be shocked if we traded up for a DT. I agree that it is a big need following the season
I agree. Common logic is you trade up for qb.
-
He looked like the guy at the end of last year. He plays like that he will win us alot of games. Some people dont expectnus too. A little more time with Matthews and I can see the offense getting better outside.
-
Got a win and they didnt play there best football. When is the last time you san say that?
-
Overall its easier bringing in a young qb with a team around them. Imo that is the greatest challenge. Dak would not have had the same success if he was drafted by the Browns last year.
-
Jets.
they are not very good. 21-12? Home game? Well, take it and run, but watch out.
Clay makes that catch and Huachka makes that kick its 31. My point is that I understand they left points on the feild but overall the offense was able to move the ball and the defense shutdown the run.

Imo the injury concern with Glenn killed anyshot Dawkins had of surpassing Mills. Mills isnt great but it takes time learning a new position. If Mills struggles I expect Dawkins takes over during the bye.
-
If you remember, it was the same last year, with a certain segment around here moaning about the loss of Karlos, and who was this Gillislee guy and the Bills running game was doomed if Shady got nicked. I believe Tolbert and Junkyard will pick up where MG left off. In any case, I will let them play a game or two before I lose my mind.
Yes this is absolutely right.
-
Except, that 2 mil in incentives would have been better spent dividing that production between McCoy and MG rather than asking McCoy to carry more burden to earn considering McCoy isn't the picture of durable in the NFL and consistently deals with injuries hampering him a few games or causing him to miss a game or two.
MG should have been kept, he could have been a guy who take over for McCoy in a year or two if McCoy slows down or we trade/cut for cap reasons. Not retaining MG was one of the moves that had me scratching my head given how good he has been here and how cheap he was, especially on a team dependent on running the football, its the strength of our team the last 2 seasons.
I do not agree with that assessment. He has not shown the ability to be a feature back. He is not a replacement from Mccoy. He is a severe drop off from Mccoy. This year or next they will draft a guy to replace Mccoy. Banyard, Tolbert, and will more than make up for gillislee.
-
So much for them going undefeated.
-
31-10. Buffalo's run game is limited to under 100 yards. Zay jones has a break out game his first game as a pro.
-
Find it intersting the only thing that suprised him was the Ragland trade. With him on the KC injury report he isnt healthy and the trade now makes sense. Imo Rex is watching Buffalo games. He is concerned Buffalo will make a turn around and Mcdermott makes Rex look bad.
-
Every year this is about my peak optimism of the year. Buffalo suprises the masses and finishes above .500. Idk if they make the playoffs but win more than 8 games.
-
So non story story??
-
Its a very intreging matchup. Their defense isnt terrible. Dennison to call his first game for his first offense. I expect to see taylor on the edge much more this year in designed move of the pocket scenerios. This should help him. The jets secondary is suspect. If Buffalo isnt able to take advantage we could very well be in for another mindling year.
-
Its a change. Some chamge is for the better, some is for the worst... the season will be a determination. I hope its for the better. A few good breaks the Bills could contend. Only time will tell.
-
No, ESPECIALLY with Gaines healthy. That in itself voids the Darby loss and with Matthews playing, Watkins gets hurt and the management are looking like geniuses.
I guess i worded that poorly. I mean does this limit or diminish all the tank talk. I agree. I would not be surprised if Matthews and Gaines match or surpass Watkins and Darbys individual
-
Does this limited the tank? Ragland still hurt. Williams is on practice squad. The moves are not that farfetched.
-
I could be wrong, but I don't remember Kyle as ever being particularly vocal ever in pre-season when I don't believe the players are required to be part of media access:
"Beginning no later than the week prior to the opening of the regular season through the playoffs, each club will open its locker room during the normal practice week (based on a Sunday game) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to all accredited media for player interviews for a minimum of 45 minutes."
I can't imagine Kyle volunteering to field extra questions about whether or not the Bills are tanking, are the coaches/McBean trying to eradicate all the players from the previous regime etc. that would be like volunteering to clean bus station bathrooms or something.
As for 'blatantly showing they don't intend to try to win:, I guess "blatantly showing" must be in the eyes of the beholder. I'll wait and see what goes on the field. IMHO the "blatantly showing they don't want to win" took place when the Bills ran onto the field under Rex, despite all the "winning the off-season" and rah-rah-sis-boom-bah beforehand.
I cant remember a time where players cut did get picked up elsewhere. Obviosly, Ragland and Jones did fit the new systems. Instead of cutting them they traded them for something.
Does Rick's offense really utilize "burner" WRs?

I agree I havent seen it either. Matthews has the frame for that and enough speed to threaten enough over the top that it would be there when ever you want. Same goes with Zay. I dont expect the chemistry needed for that throw to be there with Matthews. To a lesser extent same goes with Jones. Much of the offseason and preseason he role was not definded until a few a weeks ago.
