  1. Explaining reality to people whose brains have rotted out sometimes involves them attacking you. But at the end of the day, they’re still the ones spending all of their time in an online circlejerk of conspiracies because nobody wants to talk to them in the real world. Enjoy whatever joy being a troll online gets you. Sorry if your home life sucks.
  2. I’m sorry even basic concepts confuse you. That must be rough. PS: If you were actually talking about me, it just further proves you’re just making stuff up because you don’t understand reality. I don’t watch MSNBC. Or CNN. Or any tv news for that matter.
  3. I don’t understand your insistence on being loudly and proudly wrong when it’s already been explained to you.
  4. I believe there is a grand jury open in NJ but no idea if they plan to charge this particular document. It seems that they are only charging the documents Trump kept after he told the government he had given them all back. Not sure if this doc was part of the ones voluntarily turned over. If it was, they probably won’t charge it and just use it for evidence of intent and knowledge instead.
  5. It’s likely included as an exception to rule 404(b) as evidence of intent and/or knowledge. If that document was to be charged for itself, it’d likely have to happen in New Jersey. I’m not sure who this Julie Kelly is that you all love citing but she seems bad at her job.
  6. I am pleasantly surprised by this. I thought that at least one or two would go for it and a handful may have been tempted (even though ISL has no basis in the constitution or history). An all around solid rebuke of the crazies.
  7. We probably have war plans for basically every country. We’ve had war plans even for Canada. Does that mean the generals were pushing for war with Canada? Given the geopolitical environment of the last few decades, it’d be absolutely insane if we didn’t have a war plan for Iran. The existence of a war plan does not necessarily mean that anyone was advocating to actually implement it. It is simply planning for contingencies so you don’t get caught flat footed when the unexpected happens.
  8. Imagine being able to play a tape for the jury of the defendant basically admitting to all of the elements of the crime. A prosecutor’s dream.
  9. I suppose there’s just no evidence of a movement to oppose any LGBT content as sexual and therefore inappropriate. Definitely nobody out there trying to do that and label anyone who opposes them as a groomer. Meet Moms for Liberty, the group leading LGBTQ book bans in Pa. schools “Originally focused on opposing mask mandates in schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, Moms for Liberty quickly expanded its agenda to oppose LGBT-positive policies in schools, LGBT-themed materials in school libraries, what they believe is critical race theory in curricula, and many other diversity-positive issues related to schools and students.” A Far Right Moms Group Is Targeting Students. These Women Are Fighting Back. “But the more Cousins pushed back against book bans, the more Farrant, who is now an Orange County School Board member, and Moms for Liberty, came after her. Over the next 10 months, the group led an online harassment campaign against Cousins. Members took pictures of her children and posted them on Facebook, including on one occasion when Cousins and her family attended a drag brunch in support of a survivor of the Pulse nightclub shooting. “I don’t know how they got access to my pictures, but they did. They posted them everywhere, constantly calling me a groomer and a pedophile. It just spiraled, it got pretty nasty,” Cousins told VICE News.” Yes, I Read The 111-Page Moms For Liberty Book Ban Document “The game Moms for Liberty is playing is one where kids and teens are the same. There’s a world of difference between having a book like Gender ***** in an elementary school library and having a book like Gender ***** in a high school library. I agree that Gender ***** might not be appropriate for an elementary school library. But I'm not agreeing with Moms for Liberty, I'm agreeing with Gender *****'s author Maia Kobabe: It was always planned to come out from the older-reader imprint of my publisher, aimed for either adults or high teens, like 16-plus. … But what MFL does throughout the document is collapse “kids” and “teens” into the same group by using the term "our children" to describe both.“ Students and authors sue Florida school district that banned a book about two male penguins “Last year, the school board in Lake County, near Orlando, barred students who are in kindergarten through third grade from accessing “And Tango Makes Three,” a 2005 book based on a true story about two male penguins at New York City’s Central Park Zoo who adopted and raised an orphaned penguin chick named Tango.”
  10. Here’s the link I already posted: https://www.thedailybeast.com/moms-for-liberty-loses-its-sht-over-seminole-school-yearbooks-lgbtq-page If someone thinks a picture of an LGBT student just being a student is sexual content, I’m struggling to see what other conclusions you can draw about them.
  11. Groups like Moms For Liberty want to ban any mention or reference of LGBT people in schools because they believe it’s sexual content to even acknowledge that LGBT people exist. So I’m not sure how you can conclude otherwise than people like them immediately think of sex when they see LGBT people.
  12. So you’re just ignoring the whole article about how Moms For Liberty (an organization with around 100,000 members) was the reason behind the outrage?
  13. Here ya go: Moms for Liberty Loses Its ***** Over School Yearbook’s LGBTQ Page Moms For Liberty apparently thinks even acknowledging LGBT students is inappropriate for a High School. “This gender ideology crap has parents in an uproar because it’s disgusting and wrong for an adult to sexualize a minor,” parent Sharman Craft posted on Facebook. “The district superintendent is ordering the school to give full refunds or have the books reprinted without the glossary of perverse sexual attractions and pronouns. We are just getting started.” To be clear, the pages in question was just LGBT students hanging out at school. But apparently that is sexual solely because these students aren’t straight.
  14. It’s almost as if useful idiots like this guy (whose posts are indistinguishable from a text bot that was instructed to imitate the dumbest person in the world) continuously and purposefully ignore that people on their side think a book about two male penguins adopting a baby penguin is too sexual for kids. They see gay people existing and apparently immediately think of sex. That’s why they want a big government nanny state that tells people what they can and cannot read.
  15. Who said anything about anxiety?
  16. I’m just wondering why so many people are complaining about sex when they see two gay people just existing.
  17. You can raise your kids how you want in accordance with your beliefs. I am just pointing out that the current trend towards viewing anything LGBT as inherently sexual is disingenuous and the rhetoric is getting dangerous. If you see two guys holding hands, you can explain to your kid why you believe that to be sinful. Just don’t pretend that kids will think of it as sexual. Just like they wouldn’t if they saw a guy and a girl holding hands.
  18. Hey, it’s not my fault if a guy in a dress gives you a tingle downstairs.
  19. It really seems like the through-line for the current right wing attack on gays is that when they see two dudes together, they immediately think about gay sex. If you’re a conservative and you see two guys holding hands, you’re basically obligated to imagine them pounding each other. Kids hearing about a mom and dad? Well, that’s not sexual. It’s totally normal. Kids hearing about a mom and mom, or a dad and dad? Conservatives immediately think about ***** and sword fighting. They cannot live in a world where homosexual parents are viewed the same way as heterosexual parents. It’s really just telling on themselves more than anything else. It’s no wonder so many anti-gay republicans end up revealing themselves to be gay.
  20. Sure. And the best possible case for RFK Jr is that he wins the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries solely because they won’t follow DNC rules and therefore Biden won’t run in them. Then, once the real votes start coming in, it’ll all be over for the tool of the right wing. I’d love to fix our election system so that we aren’t stuck in a rut of two parties, but that would require allowing the voters to have their voice to be heard. This is a no-no for the GOP, so we’re stuck with what we’ve got.
  21. Poyer is free to hold his tournament wherever he wants and people are free to patronize it or not. Can’t imagine anyone criticizing the backlash would have a problem if a Bills player held an event at Hunter Biden’s Mini Golf Cocaine and Hooker Emporium…
  22. This whole thread is hilarious. “Why don’t gays support the people who hate them?” On the one hand, the Dems are imperfect allies who often only support LGBTQ when it’s convenient. On the other hand, the GOP wants to pretend LGBTQ people don’t exist and is perfectly happy pushing policies that will kill them. Geez, no idea. That’s a tough one!
  23. You should actually try listening to liberals sometime instead of being told what to think of them by people who are incentivized to make them look bad. True. But even if the Dems proposed a hyper-right wing capitalistic economic solution that achieved the right wing goal of transferring almost all wealth to a handful of elites while ensuring most Americans never had a chance at prosperity, they’d still call it socialism.
