  1. I don't think anyone here, right now, knows what Zay's route was supposed to be. The funny thing is, if Zay was supposed to look in, it was a perfect pass and game winner on fourth down. We just don't know. I think he was supposed to look in.

This is the truth. But, there are definitely two different sides arguing this. Both of which are claiming the other side knows nothing about football. Haha

  2. This is a terrible thread, IMO. For three reasons:

    1) we didn't lose because of clock management; it played actually no role whatsoever in the outcome of the game and so I don't get why this is a complaint.

    2) in hindsight, the clock was actually managed correctly. If Zay catches that ball, we call TO and then easily have 3

Shots at the end zone while giving the panthers no chance to get the ball back.

    3) if you can't appreciate how well coached the D was out there today and on the road, you are missing what coaching is all about. The game management stuff comes with experience; the fundamental coaching doesn't.

Yeah, this guy nailed it for the most part.

  3. I truly believe that DT is one of our biggest needs after this season. Kyle is 34 and had to be begged to come back, Dareus is a question and i can certainly see a scenario where he isn't welcomed back next year.

Outside of a move up for a QB in next years draft i really think we will be moving up for a DT as well.

If they see a guy in the draft... Stawp, hating the big daddy... Bills need so muchore first.

  4. Their depth is horrendous, Hightower, Nickovich especially, their replacements looked baddddd and who fills that leadership void?

    ...

Regardless if that was on McCourty, Gilmore did not look impressive whatsoever.. if I didn't know better I would have thought that was last year's Bills D. Big plays all day

The defense did look bad, even when Hightower was out there.

Gilmore actually shut his guy down. Whoever he was covering, for the entire game. He was one of the few bright spots on the Pats' D, outside of a missed tackle, which is/always has been a weaker part of his game. Ohh well, if think Gilmore sucks makes you happy...

  5. Funny but MCourty admitted it was his blown coverage on the play. Playing cover2 he had the deep half.

Yeah, the circlejerk against Gilmore is strong here. Or, folks have no clue wtf they are talking about. How about a little bit of both?

  6. The mental gymnasts here are amazing. I am just going to tune in more and more to see posts like this. I wish there was a Homer Olympics, because I think we'd field a great team. The way they explain everything, it is a win, no matter what!

Bills lose, we cut some fat and got picks for the future. So many problems with this... We added a lot of fat. I mean, Webb can play ST, but that is all he can play at an NFL level. Honestly, I'd rather have a competitive RB #2 than a Taiwan (another "ST stud", just not an NFL calibre RB). The ST better be the best in the league with how much they are making excuses for their poor decisions.

We needed to suck really bad and get a FQB in the draft! We have not done this since Losman. Many problems with this too... Like the failure rate.

Bills get 7 wins. They'll claim we improved as a team, since all the talent is gone and we got some wins. Still ignoring the geriatric state of the Bills.

Seriously, I doubt the Bills lose to the Jets, but hearing "we are finally tanking properly" and "this is what the franchise needs to do" would totally be worth it.

Also, cannot wait until Tolbert turns into dust after his first game. I guess, he was a good ST player, too?

  7. Sorry couldn't disagree more. Reilly made catches I haven't seen from a Bills wr in awhile. He better at least make the PS. And no he is not another Dez Lewis.

This is where I'm at. He just made catches I saw other Bills' WRs drop. I wonder how many people defending this are just apologizing for McBeane. Hopefully, he stays and gets put on the field.

Enjoy the 200 yards in the air per game this season, with Clay being the #2 in receiving yards.

  8. I will go on record and say this. I am not a fan of McDermott and Beane, but I do support them and want them to succeed, for the sake of our Buffalo Bills. With that said, I am nowhere near as high on them as I was when they first got here. McDermott, in my humble opinion, is becoming more and more a control freak who screams, "It's my way or the...actually it's just my way, nothing else." I was shocked to see Pegula give absolute carte blanche to a completely unproven Defensive Coordinator, coming off a few seasons of mediocrity. And I was even more shocked that this first time head coach was allowed to pick his own GM, and not the other way around!! Nonetheless I still supported McD, and as he began a complete housecleaning of the FO, scouting, coaching, I remained optimistic. However, the Sammy trade was the first decision that raised my eyebrows, and tbh, I have been both confused and bewildered with pretty much every move since then. It's as if McDermott is on a crusade(love that word and keep thinking of that picture) to not just rid the team of essentially EVERY Whaley pick, but to show the football world that he and he alone singlehandedly turned this franchise around, from top to bottom. There is a certain air of audaciousness to every move he makes now, and he is making it increasingly harder to both support him and remain optimistic. It's as if he has this Belichick-ean air of cockiness about him, yet he hasn't even won a single game yet. I will go as far as to admit I'm beginning to dislike his attitude, mainly his sureness of himself.

Obviously, if the season comes and we start racking up the W's, I will probably start liking him again. But I guess time will tell...

Almost exactly how I feel. McBeane seems to be the type of guy who won't admit his mistakes. They'll make a mistake on a guy and stick with the guy, regardless.

Also, the trading players just to make everything appear to be "them" makes no sense, but it seems like that is what they're doing.

Will they see success(playoffs)? When Brady is gone, is the correct answer. On the bright side, we know that Brandon is not in control, anymore.
