Veteran minimum plus incentives perhaps as a beginning for negotiation just like a Beane counter would? With no other offers out there who knows if he'd consider something like that.
No other offers? Are you sure about that? I think he was likely to go back to the Lions and was just leveraging on this visit.

Anyone else ever feel like the NHL lottery is rigged?

Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Forbes is a magazine based on speculation, which, in Forbe's case, is wrong an more often than it should be. I'd rather get my info from TMZ.

Football has more players, plays less games, and has a higher risk of injury. Positions are significantly valued differently in the NFL. They pay only a slightly less % of revenue than the NBA. Watkins is not the brightest bulb in the bunch and is oceans away from being Curry type of valuable to a team. See, Brady.

I'm wondering how much the outcome of that game changes if Jordy Nelson doesn't drop that wide open pass, it probably would have resulted in a TD.
In fact, Rodgers receivers were doing him no favours that game.
Jordy did break up a pick-6 by the skin of his teeth...

Super close.
But, with Sammy's injuries, and a second first next year, the prudent choice would be an injury prone Maclin. FEAST OR FAMINE!

Shaq was a. Rex Clemson special. I think he has to pass the Erik Flowers eye test then move on to Kelsay, Wiley, and Schoebel before Bruce gives him the time of day. Odds are he falters somewhere between Flowers and Kelsay.
Shaq just looks so slow out there. I hate to feel the same way you do about him. Maybe, not quite as negative.

I disliked the Rex hire from day one, but anytime I criticized him on the BBMB I was drowned out
I have the complete opposite opinion on HC Sean
I think he is going to turn out to an excellent NFL HC
However I'm not as equally convinced he is good scout, a good GM, and or can make good trades
Knows how the comp rule works, understands the cap, and or will make the right off season personal moves
I think he has already made mistakes with regard to having given up 2 free comp picks next year
And I am not convinced the safeties he signed, for IMO too much money, will be effective NFL starters
I also think he got taken a bit in 2 of the 3 draft trades
And IMO we are razor thin talent wise at OLB and WR
And the changes with our offensive run blocking scheme frighten me
Though I applaud the Sammy move, the TT and contractural cap changes, and I like the totality of our draft selections
So the jury is out as to if we just survived the 2017 off season or we are in better position to win 10 games
But I am less concerned about his personality traits, more concerned about his actual moves as our rookie HC/rookie GM

Great way to remain neutral...

What about the Panthers' defense last year? This is what makes me wonder.

Wow. @FriedgeHNIC says he believes Russ Brandon is leading the search for the #Sabres next GM. That ought to make fans happy... twitter.com/buffalowins/st
So do Bills fans think it will be different here. Nope Managing Partner will have influence
And, people still think he has no say over any of the Bills' horrid decisions. Guy has got to go.

Doesn't make any sense based upon what's being said at OBD. Only the outside noise from media would have anyone believing this is the case.
Exactly, one thing learned after Rex's departure is the Bills will not be leaking stuff to the media. It has all been speculation thus far, with the exception of dealing with other teams.
-
Just checked a Chiefs message board and they are all laughing at how little they gave up.
Exactly, I have no clue how folks on here think the Bills got any sort of a bargain with this trade. The only way it works out in favor for the Bills is if the Chiefs hit an injury bug, bigly
-
Ugh..............
-
There goes Foster...
-
That may be how you do it but it doesn't make any sense in real life. This isn't time value of money. For a team that's competing in 2017, yes, that matters. For a rebuilding team, you could argue that 2018 first round pick might be more valuable.
Omg, no! It is how it works. Like with the Watkins trade, when the Bills could have either traded their 1&2 or that years 1 and the next year's one to move up. I don't get how folks ITT are trying to value a next year's 1st as one for this year. Crazy.
-
Nope we got better value. And look at the Browns Texans trade.... No 3rd for them
Idk, I'd rather have the Texans' 1st rounder next year than the Chiefs. Same for this year!
-
It's a bad trade. Just compare it to what sf got.
I think the 3rd should have been changed to a second. Look at how late the pick is. It is at the end of the round, and I don't see the Chiefs getting anything lower than at lest a 20th pick next year. Boo!
-
Ugh, for 17 spots? Wish the Bills would have gotten more.
-
Why would any team give up that much for Garropolo?
I could see a team giving up a later 1st. He was drafted in the second, and has shown potential. I could even see a first round swap with a 4th or 3rd thrown in. If I had to bet, I'd bet on Jimmy being better than any of the last 3 Pat backups.
That is all BS, though. Sports reporting has declined into just a rumor mill over the last decade.
-
Cleveland has Brock and the Pats said they aren't trading Jimmy G.
You are aware it is likely the Browns will release Brock? They basically bought a 2d round pick.

Took my son, who at the time was almost 4, to the Bills v. Rams game last year and it was alright. He had more fun making forts and jumping on the bed at the hotel. He did talk up the Rams cheerleader, which was cool, but he really wasn't into it. Two can be tough, as they get restless and you cannot really enjoy yourself. At least get pictures if you do take him.
