  1. I'm not a fan of anyone doing it but it's become part of the game now, so I accept it when Josh does it. Any legal edge you can get, I guess.

But I can see a time when it becomes so obnoxious that they'll start penalizing someone for asking for a flag.

The McDermott Era is full of great games and dominant performances. Yesterday was no exception. But can they play that focused week after week after week?

That's always been the issue under McDermott. The lack of consistency. They'll play a great game, maybe two great games in a row. But then follow it up with a stinker where the team is out of synch, tight, unmotivated, unfocused, etc.

Watch more teams, that’s everybody. Including the SB winners.

    Not like McDermott's Bills.

Someone already mentioned the Chiefs. How about them Cowboys, who beat the crap out of the defending NFC champs and then got dominated by the Bills?

How about the Dolphins, who pinned 70 points against the Broncos and then got torched by the Bills.

Or the Eagles, currently the #2 seed in the NFC standings, who nearly lost to the Bills and got destroyed by Dallas.

The whole league has been inconsistent.

  3. I know it wasn't flashy enough to make "Angry Runs," but the play where Cook (with some help) carried a pile of defenders an extra ten yards was spectacular.

Also, I watched the end of the Houston-Tennessee game and Singletary had some nice plays. My wife said, "That name sounds familiar" (outside of Josh and Stef, she probably couldn't name any Bills players off-hand) so I told her that he used to play for the Bills. He's good, but they decided not to renew his contract. Then, after James Cook ripped off a couple of great runs, I said, "And that's why Devin Singletary lost his job."

NFL passed him by??? He's been ahead of the NFL for three decades.

He got ahead by stumbling onto a generational talent QB in the 6th round. Don't get me wrong - he's a brilliant defensive strategist - but as far as a HC, it's becoming more and more apparent that the dynasty was more about the QB than the HC. Now if he succeeds with, say, the Chargers, having a high-end (but not once in a generation) QB, then I might change my tune on that.

I kind of feel as though the Commissioner is engaged in a real-life version of the story of the farmer who helped his pocketbook by cutting the food his horse got every day.  He cut it day by day until just when he got the horse down to eating nothing, the damned horse died.

For the sake of short term boosts in the bottom line, Goodell is taking more and more football away from the lifeblood that feeds it, the American fans who love the game.

Short-term profit over long-term viability is what corporate America is about these days. The executives play the game, get raises and fat bonuses for increasing the company's stock value, and then move on before everything collapses. Along the way, the product's quality decreases and the customer suffers.

Why does Mexico City keep getting passed up? I feel if there's anywhere you'd want to host an international game, it'd be a market in the same hemisphere & shares timezones with existing teams.

I get Mexico isn't the richest country, but it's a sports-hungry country that now shares a huge amount of family & culture between itself & the US.

Just seems like it'd be easier on the players, more likely to succeed in attracting new fans, and not separated by such a huge distance.

Mexico, especially Mexico City's iconic Estadio Azteca, holds a special place in the NFL's international circuit. This legendary stadium has witnessed NFL regular-season games in 2005, 2016, 2017, 2019, and most recently in 2022. However, fans looking forward to experiencing the thrilling spectacle of American football in Mexico will have to have a bit more patience. The hiatus is due to the ongoing renovations at Estadio Azteca, which won't be completed in time for the 2024 season. However, it's not a final goodbye. With renovations expected to wrap up by the following year, the NFL has indicated the potential return of the sport to Mexico City in 2025.

Josh Allen will be fined $32,689 and suspended 2 games for striking Patrick Mahomes in the chest after the game. Buffalo will be assessed a personal foul against the Cowboys at the beginning of every 1st half possession.

And the Pats* will get a compensatory pick and Tremaine Edmunds will somehow become a year younger.
