Not crazy about this I think he thrived in a system, for gods sake Maybin recorded 5 sacks in Hex's scheme
Maybin's numbers were coverage sacks. I don't think our secondary was responsible for many coverage sacks last year.

He should have said, "Good luck unless you play us, because Richard Sherman will take a cheap shot at you on a FG attempt."

This is going to e our year, guys. Mark my words.
Tyrod takes the next big step,
Sammy stays healthy all season,
Clay catches a whole bunch of passes UP THE MIDDLE,
Dareus and the defense returns to form,
Brady* develops a debilitating hemorrhoid,
Satan refuses to renew Bellichick's* contract and calls him to Hell.
It's all written in the stars...
I was under the impression that Satan reported to Bellichick*, not the other way around.

This. PFT has reported that the Jets are interested in Griffin. Normally I would be thrilled that a division rival is interested in the worst starting quarterback, if not the worst quarterback, in the league. Then the "suck for Sam" thought occurred to me.
Anyone who has delusions about griffin should read Chris Colley's takedown piece from a few years ago. It says all anyone needs to know about griffin.
The Jets are also interested in Cutler, which suggests that they think they can win with him. (I'm not sure why they'd think that. I'm in Bears country and everyone around here is glad he's out of Chicago.) If the Jets wanted to tank, I suspect they'd just start one of the QBs they already have.

More like Vlad the Imposter. When he played for the Jets he sucked out loud.
That's why I said "if".

Aaron
Mario
Kyle
Johnathan
Duke
Mike
Pat, but he was years ago.
who am I missing from the last 5 years or so
Karlos

Is this a real question? Bill is a very common name. How about players named Vlad?
If he opens up a lot of holes for Shady, maybe he'll be called "Vlad the Impaler."

Wilcoam's just being Wilcoam.
Those with eyes to see know that Hyde is a versatile and valuable defender.
Those with limited viewpoint will say "he's not a very good corner" or "he's only a mediocre safety", completely ignoring the fact that a player versatile enough to play FS, SS, CB, and return punts is a great addition to a team. He can cover slot WRs, TEs, can come up into the box and stop the run, and will provide toughness and stability. He also didn't break the bank. He only got the contract we were going to give Aaron Williams.
To me, Hyde is the definition of the RIGHT kind of free agent signing. Good player, just coming into his prime, at the right price. My favorite FA signing by the Bills so far.
Good logic, Logic.

I assumed that this'd've been articulated by now, but there is a rule that you are to always include an asterisk next to the name of the football team from New England*
And don't capitalize the 'p' either.

Can't say I'm surprised. When that much money is involved, laws tend to become very "flexible."
-
Billy Shaw - does that count?
-
Shame to see all that talent go to waste. I hope he gets his act together - he could have a bright future.
-
Excellent! He's really good and extremely versatile.
-
Hyde would be great - he can play CB or safety. I'm not sure we can outbid other teams, but I'd be happy to see him in a Bills uniform.
Wow - five minutes after posting that I saw this:
-
forgot CB Micah Hyde was another name I saw Bills looking at...plus there was a DT a couple days ago but forget his name
Hyde would be great - he can play CB or safety. I'm not sure we can outbid other teams, but I'd be happy to see him in a Bills uniform.

Gilmore is good but not worth breaking the bank over. I'm glad they didn't tag him, but I'm bummed that he's going to NE.
Aaron Williams will be missed, but I missed him a lot over the past two years when he was on IR. I hope he retires while he's still able to walk.
Woods is a solid #2 receiver. Of the three mentioned in this thread, he's the one I thought would be most likely to return.
Ultimately, however, all three are replaceable with a smaller impact on the cap. I was bummed when they cut Freddie, but I knew it was the right decision. I feel the same with this situation.

McCoy would want out if they were "tanking".
Yup, and so would Kyle Williams. If they really wanted to tank, they'd trade McCoy and release Kyle.
March is too early to declare that the season is over.
-
For his own sake, I hope he hangs it up.

Cool article. Does anyone know how the name is pronounced? Is it Cook, Coke, or Cotch?
I'm wondering if there's any relation to the Koch's Beer (pronounced "cook's") family from Dunkirk NY.

Thanks for the welcome. I was on the BBMB for about 10 years. After the shutdown, I checked out a few other Bills forums and this one looked like the best, so I signed up.
Looking forward to talking Bills with you all!

He's versatile - he can play in Buffalo and the upper northwest at the same time!
