Only 2 weeks after we were exposed as the same. It was like watching a mirror of that game tonight. Weird deja vu. Mahomes even had 20-30 yard sprinting backwards dropbacks.

The Bucs were underestimated. For the last 2 months solid, they have been on an epic roll. People took a couple of swoons they had early on too seriously. It was Brady's 1st new team in 20 years. It was going to take some time for things to come together. Just so glad it wasn't us tonight. Losing like that would have been devastating. I'd have to not look at the internet until at least November - and only then if we were undefeated at that point.

Personally, I can't be all that happy about this. It's just Brady.

I know Brady WON some close SB's, but he also lost a bunch. He could really be getting his 9th or 10th right now. It's absolutely, 100%, otherworldly insane. As much as I can't stand the guy, maybe as a fan of the game, I'll come to appreciate that someday.

I feel like this Bucs team would have been a BAD matchup for the Bills. Maybe I'm just rationalizing. But I'm so glad this isn't us.

Good lesson for the Bills, too. We were too one-dimensional. Defense is so important to winning championships.

I'll tell ya - in hot take nation, this thread looks a LOT different today.

Narratives change pretty quick in the NFL. It's really a game-to-game thing. 2 weeks ago, Mahomes never got rattled, and Allen did. Crazy how that can change depending on what kind of D you're facing. Mahomes looks infinitely worse than Allen did, or ever has.

This is some hard medicine for KC fans. They thought Mahomes was invincible. ALL QB's are affected by pressure. No one is immune to it.

I'd give up all of my worldly possessions, move to the far east, and dedicate the rest of my life to god as a monk. Because I'd be convinced I did something absolutely horrific in a previous life to lose like this, and see Brady make that same face I've seen since I was a much younger man.

Bucs D - clearly - is MUCH better than ours, and were all season. I was probably most worried about the Bucs if we had made it to the SB. They have an '07 Giants vibe.

They should try an avant-garde, spoken word kind of halftime. Like Shatner doing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

To me, it shows definitely why after the AFCCG, it was way too simplistic to say Mahomes was cool while Allen looked harried. There's a reason for that. Pressure on the QB. All QB's react negatively to it.

So - is anyone still rooting for the Bucs? This is a no brainer for me. Brady to Gronk TWICE? No thanks. The Bucs may as well be the Pats.

I can't wait until Brady retires, so that Super Bowls don't make me sick anymore.
