Brinkley?

We used to can a Lot in the 60's, 70's... my Dad used to say " Mom isn't the greatest cook in the world but boy you should see her can". Canning isn't a lost art... but I think people shy away just because they aren't 100% sure that the result is reliable.

Whoever that is.. it has late 70's/80's all over it.

I'd forgotten about that vegetable... used to be a tradition back in WNY... some holiday, maybe Christmas. I'd eat ONE once a year... might be in some sort of cream too.

However I make it, I like it on toasted Pepperidge Farm onion burger buns. With a slice of sharp cheddar and a tomato slice... plenty of pepper.

Do you remember the name of the documentary... or is it on you tube? I'm a sucker for historical documentaries... for the most part. The history of disco wouldn't work here though. If you remember the name of it... it would be appreciated here.

Peter Gabriel is correct... yeah I did pretty much give it away. If anyone has Not seen this I highly recommend it, pretty much the holy grail of Genesis footage from back in the heyday.

My favorite sandwich is an open face, which I only make a few times a year. Cookie sheet... slices of rye. Cover each slice with sliced pastrami or sliced corned beef, a slice of tomato, a slice or two of swiss cheese, cracked black pepper and then put under the broiler for 3-4 minutes. The bottom of the rye gets toasted in the process. Take them out and give a light drizzle of 1,000 island dressing... insanely good imo.

Not Mick Jagger.. mouth is too small. More like the eyes and long fingers in that pic... he was probably only 4-5 when that photo was taken... plus everything else I've mentioned.

Not Clapton, who is a 3 time inductee in the RRHOF. This guy is "only" a 2 time inductee... there, I practically gave away the answer right there lol. Singer, actor, musician, song writer, narrator, and even a bit of dancing if you call the jig dancing.

As long as its Boars Head sliced at Publix I'm good with a B&C... this is one I like Miracle whip and Webers mustard on. That oscar mayer stuff is only good for frying.
