There are about 270 players drafted. You could get by with a board of 125 players or so. Your list will include guys you think will get drafted in each of the rounds, so you are not flying blind after the 3rd round. You might have 15 players per round you have on your board. I wouldn't advise that approach though. I am a no to Spiller. I like Ken Walker (and he doesn't like being called Kenneth. He likes Ken). FYI Ken Walker has fumbled Zero times in college.

You are right. 1st round picks are NOT slam dunks to be good NFL players. Thus trading a 1st round pick for Stefon Diggs was a good value proposition.

"Would you like some meat loaf, we are just going to throw it out otherwise..." Could a 4th round pick (Gab Davis) make the roster? Or a 4th round pick like Taron Johnson? Sure, 4th rounders tend to be should performers. Honestly, an extra 4th round WR selection could easily push Marquez Stevenson or Isaiah Hodgins off the roster. Which would improve the roster.

If you could get a brand new head coach to buy in to a tank, that would be amazing. The reality is Sean McDermott is going to fight for every win he can get. Now, if you are asking if "we" the fans should get a say, then I could see a tank in 2017. But let's make sure we do it right. Ending up picking 5th or 6th will be close, but not close enough.
