  1. I guess I was thinking McBeane are building a team of hard working professionals, not college players.
  2. I kind of thought that celebration was weird. I'd like to say act like you've been there before, but I guess they haven't. I'm wondering if the ref's had "legal recourse" to throw a flag there.
  3. Well, if you can trade up with Cleveland and get the first pick, you get the best QB. If not, BPA in first 2 rounds and then start horse trading. I like Taylor but he's never going to be elite, Wentz & Watson are already better QB's etc.
  4. Not sure where I was touting my innate superiority, seems like you're reading something that's not there... Women typically are more emotional than men, emotion based decisions typically are of the irrational variety. It's not rocket science, it's actually been studied by many behavioral scientists. And I am not saying all emotion based decision processes are a bad thing, but IMO they are in the realm of internet message boards dealing with NFL pre-season predictions... And politics.
  5. Well, that's not actually how one "catches a cold"...
  6. He's not a McBeane type player, it's that simple.
  7. Ah yes, the 'ol call someone a troll because you don't agree with them gag.
  8. Hmm, 4 in a row at the end seems unlikely IMO.
  9. I actually enjoyed that part. The more people turn away from that nonsense the better our civilization can become.
  10. Based on my preseason picks: Jets- W Saints- W Chargers -L Chiefs- L Pats- L Colts- W Dolphins- W Pats- L Dolphins- L
  11. No, but if a player is injury prone, you should get what you can get for him while he's playing well and not injured.
  12. I always feel better taking PT on Friday's, or I'll even do a Wed here and there.
  13. Damn, I never use those on a Monday, makes Tuesday just feel like a Monday.
  14. Was Levy that great of a coach? I remember those years of Levy being more of a father figure for the players than any kind of a mastermind coach. It was the players who were the key to any kind of winning. One of the reasons, if not THE reason they didn't win any SB's, is the coaches were just not good enough to put the players in positions to win any of those games.
  15. Not to be nitpicky but you said you lost your faith and also said "my lord" in the same breath.
  16. Hmm, Steelers are very bad comparison. Steelers are not "lucky", they are a pragmatic organization. The better comparisons: Belichick lucked out with Brady Carroll lucked out with Wilson For the Patriots, what will be interesting to see is where they go post Brady. If they are an organization like the Steelers, they will keep winning, somehow finding a franchise QB.
  17. Well, hopefully there was someone in the stall next to you that could enjoy it as much as you did
  18. When he stated that he would only hire coaches that he knew... I mean, c'mon. Sounds like he was a great guy, but for the most part, he presided over a loser franchise. Ralph got lucky with Bill Polian, that's about all he did as an owner that was good for winning.
  19. I'd take a player and a 3rd for him.
  20. I think many ppl posted in it before taking their Monday morning dump and decided, heh, this spot is as good as any...
  21. If he is an injury prone player and Dawkins can fill the spot, I see no reason not to get what you can for him when his value is at its maximum.
  22. Wow, where is the Picard facepalm when I need it...
